Bringing Architectural Models to Life
As an architect, I’ve built countless scale models—from early concept massing to detailed client presentations. No matter how refined a building’s form is, one thing is always clear: a model without people is just an object. The moment you add figures, the design comes alive, and that’s exactly why these 1:50 scale miniature people are a game-changer in professional architectural work. Real-World Use in Architectural Projects I recently worked on a mixed-use urban development where public spaces were central to the project. The concept looked great in renderings, but when it came time to present the physical model, it lacked a sense of scale and energy. Enter these figures—strategically placing them in plazas, walkways, and seating areas immediately transformed the model. Suddenly, it wasn’t just a space—it was a community. For a residential project, I used these figures to show movement through common areas, highlighting how residents would interact with the design. A cluster of figures at the entrance made it clear that the lobby was an active social space, and a few seated ones on balconies subtly emphasized private outdoor comfort. Clients immediately understood the vision without the need for lengthy explanations. Instantly Communicates Scale & Function – Helps clients, investors, and planners understand proportions. Brings a Human Element to Models – No matter how refined the architecture, people give it context. Unpainted for Customization – Allows full flexibility to match different projects and demographics. Affordable & Practical – Unlike expensive pre-painted figures, these offer volume without breaking the budget. Wide variety of poses makes it easy to depict real-life scenarios. Lightweight and easy to place, perfect for models at any stage. Customizable with paint to match the intended demographic and setting. Great for large-scale urban planning models where multiple figures are needed. Some require trimming or sanding to remove minor plastic imperfections. No base stands means securing them with glue or adhesive is necessary. Painting requires patience if you want a fully polished presentation. Final Verdict: Essential for Any Architect’s Model Kit Whether you’re working on urban design, residential, or commercial architecture, these 1:50 scale figures add the final layer of realism that brings a project to life. They don’t just decorate a model; they tell a story of how people will engage with the space. For architects, these miniatures are as important as the materials we use to build our models. If you want your work to be understood, experienced, and remembered, adding these figures is one of the smartest choices you can make.

Don’t stand
Can’t get them to stand for my architecture models. If you can lean them up on something they look OK.

Scenic Designer Approved
I’m a scenic designer at Michigan State University and these are everything I’ve been needing for years! They’re just the right 1/4” scale. Some of them needed sanded but it’s expected with 3D printed items. Plus you get so many! These will last me a long time. So pleased with this purchase!

Compatible with wide range of minis.
1 star off for lack of detail on faces These are the right size, actually 1:50 & compatible with a wide range of minis for board games, TTRPG (28mm & heroic 28mm), & skirmish, as well as trains & dioramas. I have yet to try painting these, but I intend to soak in soapy water & scrub to remove any mold release. I will also prime before painting, which I expect will help. Very hard plastic paint does not adhere very well
These are good if you want some figures of people you won't look to closely at but they get the job done.

Modern looking figures…
I’m very happy with these figures. They look relatively modern in style and a variety of poses. Looking forward to painting them to go in my “Bladerunner 2049” book book. They are a perfect 1/12th size.
