Amdro Ant Killer for Outdoor Home Perimeter, 12 Oz

It goes against my morals and principles to "kill" a tiny life that just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I usually try to save insects by gently capturing them in a tissue and letting them go free outside. With larger ants, that is easy to do. Even a slow fly can be saved, (they are rarely slow, though!), if you can get it in time. But those tiny ants are next to impossible to save. They are just too tiny. So, in this case, I had to choose the quality of MY life & the family member I live with over these tiny little innocent creatures who were simply looking for food in the wrong place. This annoying ant infestation was in the kitchen on the counter! These tiny little buggers were just where you prepare your food, on the counter near the sink. I've never used a product like this before, so this was a new experience for me. However, it is so annoying and disruptive to one's quality of life to deal with ants in their kitchen. I had to submerge my morals in this case. I carefully controlled how I spread this product outside right where the ground meets the house, putting down enough but not too much. That was fairly easy to do with the lid that come with it. I put it all along the permimeter of the entire back side of the house, not just under the kitchen window. The very next day, there were no ants in the kitchen! I couldn't believe it. I thought it had to be a fluke. I was waiting for them to appear the next morning. They did NOT. This stuff really works! If you have an ant problem, do not think twice about buying this product. It is effective and will give you your peace of mind back!

Honestly, I don't recall what product I was using before...some white powder. I'd sprinkle it down and the ants would "disappear" only to see a new hill pop up a few feet away a couple of days later. Then I ordered Amdro. Ok, everyone, this stuff works! Not only can you physically watch the ants grab the granules and take them down the hole but the ants actually die. I even saw some dead ants near the opening a few days after I applied the bait. AND no new ant hills popped up the next day, the next week or month. I think 2-3 months went by before I saw a new ant hill. A little product goes a long way so I won't need more for quite a while, but when I do, I'm ordering this ant killer again!

Ants kept finding ways into my house and none of the sprays, gels, baits I bought helped at all. They just moved to a different place. Used this once and haven’t had a ln ant problem again! Definitely will keep this on hand every year. It is not pet safe, so you do have to keep that in mind. Instead of placing this around the exterior of the house, we got under the house and placed in around the edge underneath where our pets can’t get.

This ant bait works really well and is easy to use. The gel is simple to apply where needed, and I noticed a difference in the ant activity after using it. I like that it can be used both indoors and outdoors, and a little goes a long way. It’s also convenient for getting into smaller areas where ants tend to show up. Overall, an effective and easy-to-use ant bait that I’m happy to keep on hand. Dries well and quickly, isnt messy. And you get a good amount

When reading the reviews I saw someone posted a video of the ants carrying the granules away. I was a bit skeptical, but decided to try this anyway based on the reviews. To my surprise, the moment I sprinkled this in the path of the MANY ants we had coming into the house from the yard/ne mulch. Within seconds I could see them carrying the granules away. About 2 days later they were gone. It has been over 2 weeks and still no ants. We had them all over the house too, not just one area, so I am really impressed and hoping this will last a while.

I've fought ants all summer with multiple methods & none phased them. I put Ortho out on a Friday afternoon in small amounts in the most infested areas of my yard & the ants immediately picked the granules up & began carrying it into their dens. Within 24 hours all their populations had decreased by at least 80%! I'm quite pleased & highly recommend the product!

I used this ant killer outside my door, not inside the house. After using it, I noticed fewer ants coming into my house. It didn’t completely get rid of them, but it definitely helped reduce the number of ants. Overall, it works pretty well for the price.

Worked very well and ants were gone in one day!

The fire ants like eating it more than my kids like eating Brussel sprouts, this is a good thing. Most of them all seemed to die. The ones that didn’t, moved and wouldn’t take the bait again. I respect the fact that ants are smarter than humans, therefore I had no option but to nuke the rebel strongholds with liquid poison. That taught them whose the boss. So far so good, and this is now part of my arsenal in a losing battle against a mightier opponent.

The stuff inside looks like tiny grains of rice but colored yellow. I've poured some on strategic locations around the house where there were heavy ant swarms and these things do the job. I've noticed a lot less or non-existent ant trains in those areas now.

Amazing product. Outdoor ants kept getting into the house in different rooms. So I sprinkled this product around the house, especially the hot spots of these ants, and within 2 days the ants reduced radically. And within a week they completely vanished. I only reapplied once where I found a lot of ants are gathering. I would order again.
