mmm
upgraded my wifes phone to one that can make wifi calls, shame that sky wifi will not work with doro phones. Not as easy to use as my wifes earlier phone.

Wi-Fi Calling Works with EE Sim
This is the only Senior Type phone that has Wi-Fi calling as of Nov. 2020. This feature will currently only work with an EE Sim and the Wi-Fi calling option only appears in the Menu when a Software update has been performed after installing the Sim card, the software update option is found in one of the menu's. A number of resets (power on/off) are required before the feature activates. The phone is average construction and the charging base works fine, the ringer is lound and call quality is good.Because the phone has Wi-fi it does add another layer of complication and it also has Whats App and Facebook included, but character input is slow and tedious on the phones small predictive text keypad and I wouldn't buy it to use these features. The Menu is based on Android so it is not as slick or user friendly as it could be! However once everything is set up it works fine and makes calls with no problems. Not easy for an elderly person with little experience to set up themselves but not difficult for someone who is used to Android Smart phones. I suggest reviewing the full instruction manual on Doro's website, 70 pages! If your are in a poor signal area but have WiFi like many care homes this Doro phone is a reasonable solution, for just making calls!

the phone functions like a piece of rusty machinery which needs oiling
the phone constantly sticks, so frequently you press an instruction twice so have to start again when it catches up!When you are used to fluid devices which operate immediately, this is a real problem and wastes much time.i have found the battery life very poor nothing like as claimed above.Setting up text messaging is rather like asking a chimpanzee to climb Eiffel Tower and is as if the designer decided to make it as complex as possible for no reason. If the design team thought they were helping customers,go back to the drawing-board and determine what customers want. We would have returned this but didnt use straight away as we couldnt possibly imagine Doro which had a good reputation previously with us could market a device with so many faults ...one star is one too many.

EASY USE PHONE.
Well this is a phone? I have purchased two of these phones for a friends parents , brilliant!! Very easy to set up, user friendly, simply a phone with a few extras. Like camera, a little social media available if enquired, large buttons, good screen, loud rind tone if required. Good to have emergency auto call button if required! I have found these phones to work well, I am happy to recommend these phones for anyone!! Not just for people of a certain age!!After all it is a good mobile phone!! The clam phone is retro, compact, easy to use and makes calls. What more do you want ? Pay as you go makes life easier? Just top up when required? No contact needed .

Difficult
Good size and battery lasts for about 14 hours with moderate use. GPS is why my daughter chose this phone. It's were the benefits stop however. I and my care team (some young and technically savvy) can't work out how to save contacts from text messages. It's difficult to input contacts and to find predictive text. Punctuation is laborious. I wouldn't buy this product again for those reasons.

US Mobile Phone
I would not say this was a phone for seniors and I would not recommend this Doro 7030 phone to anybody. (Not just seniors) I have had mobile phones in the past that are not recommended for seniors but they have been for easier to use.I can honestly say this is the worst mobile phone I have ever had.At times you can only see one line of a text message and when you send a text message the receiver get a big square on their phone with the massage taking up just a fraction of this.My advice would be to stay away and keep your money in your pocket like I wish I had done.Previous to this I had the Doro 612 which I found to be a far better phone and easier to use. I only purchased the Doro 7030 because of how easy the Doro 612 was to use and expected the same of the 7030 but how wrong I was.

Great little phone
Nice big buttons, Android OS, very easy to navigate around the apps and most of all it's small enough to fit easily in my pocket. It does everything well that I want to do on a mobile. However, the screen isn't big enough to do much on the internet but I find touchscreen phones too big and heavy to go in my trouser pocket and despite their bigger screen, for me it's still not really big enough for anything more than modest internet use, best done on my tablet, laptop or pc.

from previous doro to a newer spec
I bought this as an upgrade from 6200 spec, obviously better all round but takes longer to get used to,but practice makes perfect.
