It's good toothpaste. Flavor isn't too intense like most are, which is a stupid trick most toothpastes do to make people think they're working. Doesn't foam much, which is just another stupid trick to make you think they're working. No SLS to do those things, which caused me painful canker sores every couple weeks while growing up before I realized why. Does have fluoride, which is important. The "natural" SLS-free toothpastes at my local stores don't because people believe misinformation, so I had to buy online. Glad I found this one and have been using it for years now with a strong sonic toothbrush, without dental problems.

What a lifesaver! I seemed to have developed a random allergy to mouth care products recently and couldn't put my finger on the culprit for the life of me, so I was stuck brushing with baking soda and foregoing everything else. No bueno in the long-term, obviously!For those who might be experiencing something similar, I was developing mouth ulcers on my tongue and the insides of my mouth, and my lips and tongue were burning to the point that I couldn't eat or drink without pain. Eventually I realized that it might be my toothpaste. Sure enough, stopping the toothpaste (yuck, I know) healed my mouth. I went through probably five different toothpaste brands, trying to find the culprit, before I tried this SLS-free brand. Lo and behold, I'm probably two weeks in to a twice a day brushing routine with Verve and no pain! Praise the toothpaste gods.ABOUT THE ACTUAL PRODUCT:I really don't understand the negative reviews about consistency and difficulty squeezing. It takes a LITTLE more effort to squeeze the toothpaste out of this tube than, say, a tube of regular Colgate, but it's definitely not the an Olympic test of strength like many are making it out to be. However, it might be a little much for people with severe arthritis or other conditions that limit dexterity/strength/etc.The consistency is thicker than Colgate, Arm & Hammer, and the like, and it takes a little longer to dissolve in my mouth and get that consistency I'm used to. Doesn't bother me, though.The taste is great for me. Still minty and fresh but with a little less burning intensity than most mint-flavored pastes.Leaves my mouth feeling clean and fresh.I am officially a convert. Highly recommend! Ultra Verve improved the health of my mouth. I have not noticed any canker sores so far.

The flavor is mild and the toothpaste doesn't burn my mouth at all. It is impossible for me to squeeze the paste out of the tube in a normal fashion. I have to put it on the sink and bear down with the heel of my hand to get any product out. If it were easier to get out, I probably would have given it a 5.

Canker sores run in my family. All of us used to get them several times a month, often several sores at a time. After using this for just a month, I saw a huge difference. Now 2 years in, I can say confidently that this works. My mother, my sisters, my son, and myself all saw a huge drop in the number of canker sores we get. When we do get one now, it disappears quickly, within a day or two, and we're only getting canker sores 3-4 times a year now. There is no foaming, so you do have to use more toothpaste on your brush than you might be used to. You also have to get used to brushing your teeth with your mouth closed, so that the liquid doesn't dribble out of your mouth, but it is all worth it to live free of painful mouth sores. This is not a cure though. When I had to switch to regular toothpaste for just a week on a trip, the canker sores did come back. Like any allergy, you just have to cut SLS out of your life for good. SLS seems completely unnecessary though, as none of my family members, nor myself, have had any cavities nor any dental issues since cutting out SLS.

My dentist told me to use SLS free toothpaste for the health of my gums. I found this toothpaste and really liked its fresh, mild taste. Then I looked at the list of ingredients on the tube and learned that, in addition to being SLS free, it contains BLUE DYE and SACCHARIN! My mouth does not want blue dye ( a known allergen for some) or SACCHARIN, that can cause tumors in laboratory mice. How hard can it be to find a toothpaste that is truly healthy???I want to contact the manufacturer and ask them to consider formulating this SLS free toothpaste without dyes and artificial sweeteners. Then it would be a total winner.I do congratulate Amazon for their great selection of dental hygiene products. So nice to have a choice.

I been buying this toothpaste for over a year now. My son had sores all the time , had a hard time brushing because of how painful they are. Some recommended this toothpaste, bought and with in a month he has getting less sores. They haven’t completely went away but it has definitely helped.

Update: new lid design works great, very sturdy, no problems! Love this stuff!The toothpaste itself is a 5 star product. My geographic tongue resolved after stopping SLS in my toothpaste. Unlike most SLS-free products however, Verve has fluoride. I don't find fluoride to be the poison that many consumers do, and was happy to find it included in this formula. The taste is perfectly toothpaste-y. My mouth feels clean.The packaging has won the product's 3 star rating. I don't find the tube all that hard to squeeze, but I suppose being thrift I find the smaller amount dispensed with the usual pressure needed to squeeze a tube is a bonus for me. My complaint is with the lid. It is on a hinge, and the hinge broke before the bottle was even half empty. Even my kid's toothpaste, which is also hinged, and used by people with less developed motor skills than my own holds up for the duration of the tube. This lid broke right off, and now to keep the tube sanitary I have to gingerly try to snap it back together and hope for the best. I would much prefer a screw on lid, although maybe if I had arthritis I would say otherwise. But I know for a fact that other flip lids on toothpaste tubes (Tom's Silly Strawberry) hold up much better to rougher use.I will still order this again :) I will also happily edit it if my next tube works better :D

Best toothpaste I’ve found. Contains fluoride and SLS-free, and that’s what I want.No more canker sores. Good taste. Expensive but worth it & lasts a long time.

such a good toothpaste for those who don’t like sls but still want to include fluoride in their dental routine. tastes just like many popular toothpastes but isn’t spicy like sls would be.

There aren't a lot of products that are both SLS free and have fluoride, unless you use Sensodyne or use a fluoride rinse afterwards. This is a nice product without any weird, trendy, or unnecessary ingredients that is great for mouths that have trouble with SLS.

My son finds this reduced his canker frequency, and the taste is really good. The price is a little absurd but for now we will stick with it.

I usually get 4+ cankersvery often (1-2 weeks per month. So far after using this they don't come or if they do they're not nearly as painful (skips the 4+ searing pain days I used to get ehere even water hurts). I can even sneak in a bit of chocolate or candy without getting a mouthful of cankers 1-2 days later. I'm not sure what they do to make it work well but I'll be sticking with this toothpaste for the time being.
