Spalding Pop Warner Leather Football

I purchased this real leather football for my son for next year's Pop Warner season during practice. I had also purchased a Wilson TDY at twice the cost. Both the Wilson and Spalding footballs stand 10.5 inches tall. The Wilson has a wider girth of 19.5 inches as opposed to 19 inches for the Spalding, which is better for smaller hands. The laces on the Spalding are a bit longer and raised while the laces on the Wilson are tied tighter. The leather on both footballs feels about the same but the stitching on the Wilson is a lot closer and tighter. The striping and laces on the Spalding feels tackier than the Wilson. Both footballs throw tight spirals but the Spalding seems easier to catch for smaller hands. The Spalding is made in China while the Wilson is made in the United States. Craftsmanship wise, the Wilson looks like the better ball with the tight stitching and the color of the leather tanning. For the value, you can't beat the price of the Spalding.

The Brand name used by my grandson league=well made products 2.It is real Leather not plastic. 3.The Football is youth sized for smaller hands 4.I Wanted something he could someday pass on to his own children. 5. The price is unbeatable when compared to the same product in different venues...half the price! 6. And most important, the big grin on my grandsons face!

It's a nicely made pigskin but when it gets wet for the first time the color bleeds. Not really a big deal but enough to dock a star. Tough enough to withstand our 2 year old labrador's sharp teeth.

Grandson loved the football. He plays football. Needed one for practice at home and on the field. thank you so much
