OXO Good Grips Easy-Clean Compost Bin, White, 1.75 Gal/6.62 L

I needed a small countertop compost bin to hold my fruit and vegetable scraps. I thought it might be too big by the measurements, but it's not. The width of the bin makes it easy to scrape scraps off a cutting board into the bin. I like the easy lift and easy close lid. I purchased UNNI 2.6 gal compostable bags. They are a good fit for the bin. The bin is made of sturdy plastic and the smooth sides make it easy to clean. There is no smell with the bin closed. There is a bit of sweating on the bottom from the scraps, so I put a couple paper towels on the bottom. I would recommend this bin.

We love this counter top compost bin. We've never had any issues with smells and it's very easy to clean. It's exactly the size I was looking for- doesn't take up too much space, and holds the right amount- we usually empty it every few days. It seems durable- isn't showing any wear after 7 months of daily use. I'd recommend this product!

I love love love this compost bin that I got a year and a half ago. It is a good size that fits anywhere and it is smooth and light and easy to clean and the handle and removable lid work well. If we have to use plastic sometimes, this bin with the inside and outside locked together as a smooth single piece is an awesome thoughtful use case.

Originally tried the metal containers with charcoal in the lid and a bucket insert with handle. The metal was not ideal for cleaning, although I did like the liner with handle. Also learned that the charcoal lid was a great place for flies to lay their eggs and it was often loose enough to fall into the container. Looking for a replacement I found the Oxo. The Oxo looked ideal but, I did not catch onto the fact that the larger size has the collar that can help hide an optional bag liner with removable lid and the smaller size does not. I thought they were the same and the smaller version was the right size for my kitchen. So that disappointment aside, it does have a smooth interior that will be easy to wipe clean although the lid is not removable. The lid makes it more of a two hand operation to empty and will get in the way for cleaning. I was hoping that I could place the container upside down in my dishwasher like I did with my old compost container's liner. So while not a bad compost container they could make it better and already have the design. Update: This container is great so far in helping to avoid flies.

The inside is smooth without any ridges or crevices for food to get stuck in and therefore easy to clean. Keeps smells in. Lid comes completely off so it is easy to dump out. The lid also doesn’t latch so it’s easy to bump it up with the same hand holding your food scraps so you can put them in. Sturdy. Looks good.

I’ve been really happy with this compost bin. The larger size is exactly what I was looking for because it holds plenty of food scraps so I don’t have to empty it nearly as often as my old, smaller bin. That makes a big difference in keeping the kitchen clean, especially when cooking a lot. Cleaning is quick and easy which I appreciate. The smooth interior wipes down without much effort, and that helps keep everything smelling fresh and looking tidy. Overall, it’s a well-designed bin that fits right into my kitchen without being an eyesore. I had guests over recently and they loved this bin so much they ordered one for their own kitchen while they were still at my house! Definitely recommend.

This is a perfect size to sit on the kitchen counter top next to the sink against the wall. The lid stays open and is easily removed. The entire bin mostly has smooth surfaces to allow for easy cleaning. Incredibly easy to line with a bag and the lid keeps the bag from drooping. Sturdy handle. Absolute amazing job to the folks who designed this with so much thoughtfulness.

I am so pleased with this. I put scraps of fruits & veggies, coffee grounds and smashed egg shells in here because my compost tub is a bit of a walk. The lid flips up easy but when closed is air tight. Therefore it keeps gnats out. Contents slip right out making it really easy to clean.

Muito pequeno.

Great countertop bin - wide mouth with a sturdy lid. Also effortless to wipe down. Super pleased with the product 😀
