This is my first epilator and I am very pleased with it- and its results! When I would use a razor, even with lots of cream and lotion, I would inevitably cut myself and wind up with irritated and dry skin. This leaves my skin soft and happy. Not to mention I don't need to use it nearly as often- with a razor I would feel the painful stubble by the next day. With the epilator I can wait usually a week or more before I need to get it out again. I was also worried about my very sensitive skin leaving red marks everywhere, but while it does leave the skin a bit bumpy and red immediately after epilating, even with my skin it fades within 30-60 minutes. The first time I used it was a bit painful, mostly because it was a kind of pain I had not experienced before. By the second and third time it was much, much less, and now I barely feel any pain. The different heads offer a wide range of uses and areas to cover. I stick to the legs, as that was what became irritated by a razor blade, but it would be very useful for the underarm and other sensitive places. The light on this is also extremely helpful in seeing what you miss. I thought having an overhead light would be enough, but as soon as the light on the epilator came on I realized just how much I did not see without it. I also found the two settings wonderful. At first I only used the lower setting, which is more gentle (and as a result makes you go slower), but now I use both- and can have smooth legs in around 20 minutes. I have also found the charge to hold longer than it said, but maybe I just got lucky. All in all, this is a wonderful epilator, especially for someone new to the concept as I was. It is quick, efficient, but also gentle. And while I don't use it in the shower, having the option to do so is a plus. I highly recommend this product! : )

I own a cheaper Panasonic epilator model, and because I loved that one, I gave in to the temptation of trying out a model with more bells and whistles. And I'm so glad I did. I don't like shaving and shelling out so much money for Venus shaver and refills (yes they are overpriced). So I pluck where I can and it was a tedious chore. When I tried out the Panasonic epilator, I was so happy because this made the job so much faster. I use Kiss My Face Moisture Shave in the shower and it's fantastic, it epilates smoothly and quickly. The underarms and legs are a breeze. I do them weekly, and I can honestly say that the results are even better than plucking (which can take me such a long time) and shaving. The hair doesn't grow back as fast as with shaving. After epilating in the shower, I use a mixture of aloe vera and witch hazel to soothe my skin and in a couple of hours the sensitivity and redness goes down for me. Yes, it does hurt for those who aren't used to plucking, but honestly, you get used to the pain. Well, except for the bikini area. Well, this new Panasonic model has an attachment that has a narrower epilating area for the bikini area, and while it does hurt, it does become bearable after a while. I think the results are so worth the money I paid for this. In the long run, I'll save from not having to buy those costly Venus refills. Also, another bonus is the shaving head. If epilating is too painful for you, this head does a great job, especially when you're in a hurry and don't want to bother with gels and doing it in the shower. It's not the same as a regular shaving blade like Venus, the hair doesn't grow back as fast or as thick with this attachment. My daughter actually likes to use the shaving head on the upper lip, takes just a minute, and she doesn't have to do it again for at least a week or so, and sometimes, I do too when I don't want to bother plucking. Cleaning is easy. Since I don't use shower gel, as is recommended, I soak the heads in a mixture of water and hydrogen peroxide for a minute, rinse them off and lay them to dry on a towel. Then they're good for the next use. I also love the LED light on this one, which is necessary in the shower. And also, the two speeds are helpful. The slower speed is perfect for beginners, but I tend to use the higher setting because I'm so used to epilating now. I haven't tried the foot exfoliating head yet, so I can't say how well this works. All in all, this gadget is worth every dollar I spent on it.

This is the 2nd time I’ve purchased this exact epilator - the 1st time was probably 5+ years ago, and the only reason I replaced it is because I lost it on a trip (RIP). With other brands and newer models out since then, I went back to the drawing board, and found I probably should have replaced it sooner, as the tweezers and battery get less effective after a while, but my old one was still working reliably up until it was gone. I researched for a long time, and after much indecision, ended up back with Old Faithful, and I regret nothing! I read so much about Braun models, and the newest Panasonic model, but I think this model is an underdog that more people should be considering. It has all the features of more expensive models, gets the job done, and will last for years. PROS: • The dual-head. Saw a lot of options with just 1 rotating head, I like that the 2nd head catches hairs the 1st one misses. Was hard to find any info on what the real difference between 1 vs. 2 is though, and I’ve never tried 1 head so I can’t fully compare • The “flexible” head. Not sure what else to call it, but the epilator head can rock forward and back to better move along the contours of your body. Great for maintaining grip while doing hard-to-reach areas like back of the knee • Plenty of *high-quality* tweezers. Has 48, which I think is a good balance since more can increase pain, while less can take forever. I read reviews of models with 60 or 70 tweezers that said they actually missed a lot of hairs, or broke them off instead of pulling from root, so I think quality can matter more than quantity, and even my 5+ year old one was able to grab and pull out every hair it met, even fine blonde ones. Tbh, impressive since I’ve had very expensive eyebrow tweezers lose grip after a year of use • Wet/dry and cordless. *It will not run when plugged in,* which might be a con for some people, but I use mine exclusively in a hot bath or shower so I like cordless. It even works while fully submerged in water, and I have found that this method can reduce pain since the hot water reduces sensitivity, though in general I prefer to use it above water with a body wash to help it glide across my skin easier • Decently bright light. You need to be able to see every little hair to make sure you don’t miss any. My tub area is pretty dark so in addition to the epilator light, I use a camping head lamp (lol). If you have no light directly over your shower or tub, an epilator with a light is a must. I almost wish it was brighter, but I’m not sure that’s even technically possible, and it would drain the charge so I’m happy with it as is • Remarkable life span. Again, the one I had for 5+ years was still kicking. What electric device under $100 can you say that about these days?? • The trimmer accessory. Wish there was a smaller trimmer head included as well, for tight spots like between eyebrows, but regardless this thing is so incredibly useful, I use it to trim down long leg and bikini hairs before I epilate to make it hurt less, as well as using it on my face hair. Between the trimmer and the epilator head, all of my hair removal needs are met 💯 (and btw, yes I do use the epilator on my “very delicate genital regions,” even though they say not to… tbh doesn’t hurt as bad as underarms - dear god - just have to have a solid skin-tautening game or you will catch skin, but I nick myself down there with every other method I’ve tried anyway and this way I have to do it much less frequently, so if you’re reasonably flexible, have patience and a high pain tolerance like me, don’t be afraid to give it a go… upper pubic area is a breeze, the lower regions are for the most courageous among us) CONS: • Short run time on full charge. This is probably my only major disappointment with this product. Doing both legs when you’re hairy can take up to 2 hours, so the 30 min run time doesn’t cut it. I usually have to do just the calves, charge & wait, and then finish up, sometimes in 2-3 total sessions. Not great when you want smooth legs ASAP. And again, it WILL NOT WORK CORDED. It is only meant to be cordless. But only the much more expensive (~$180) epilator models seem to have longer cordless run time, so I think this is just what you have to accept at this price point for any model. I researched so long looking specifically for one at about the same price with longer run time, and it was either 1) just use a corded model, or 2) pay more than 2x as much. I will also mention that I noticed the difference between my 5+ year old one and my new one is terms of charge time and run time. Just like a cell phone, battery quality is lost over time, so even though you can use the same one for years and years, expect to have to charge longer and more frequently after a few years • No flexibility with purchasing accessories. This doesn’t effect my use enough to be a disappointment per se, but it is a little annoying, and it would annoy me more if I were to ever lose or break one of the accessories I actually use (protect them with your lives, bbs!). Which brings me to another point - I wish you could buy just the body of this epilator, and then purchase all the heads you want separately. In 5+ years of using this model, I have only ever used the epilator head, the trimmer on the shaving head, and have once used the gentle head. I’ve tried but never use any of the special caps. I wish I could try out the foot grinding head, but it didn’t come with it. I’ve read people say that it gets dull after a while - all the more reason to let people purchase the heads separately, so you can replace them regularly!! PLEASE PANASONIC!! I’m sure the reason they don’t allow this is so you have to buy the whole package again, which means more $ for them. But does it?? Because it was 5+ years before I replaced the body (would have been longer if I hadn’t lost it!), when I would have paid $30-40 to replace the epilator and/or trimmer heads every 3-6 months, to keep them fresh and sharp. I’d say don’t base your decision off of this, especially since the price of those unused accessories is probably a small chunk of the total cost, and the likelihood of losing or breaking one is low enough, but I do hope Panasonic reads and considers this 🤞🏻it would be a game-changer!!

I've had the purple cordless Emjoi Emagine for a year and I thought I liked it pretty well. I bought this Panasonic model because I was interested in the option to epilate in the shower and was also intrigued by the pumice (foot buffing) attachment. Here are my first impressions (and I'll update the review if these impressions change): -My legs are much smoother with this epilator than the Emjoi Emagine. With the Emjoi, my legs just don't feel smooth, ever. But this Panasonic left my legs "date night" smooth (ha!) when I epilated dry (clean skin with no lotion applied). -The results were not as good when I epilated wet (with shower gel on the head, as instructions indicate). I did one leg dry and one leg wet and the wet-epilated leg is not as smooth as the dry-epilated leg. It is about as smooth as the Emjoi would get it. -Some people seem to think that epilating wet is less painful but I did not find this to be the case. -The pumice function is awesome! I've never had a rotary-style foot buffer and now I realize what I've been missing. I do a terrible job with a simple "pumice stone on a handle" and usually end up taking off too much skin, and in the wrong places too. With the pumice attachment, it seems to work well to use your ears to listen for when you are going over a rough spot (which helps you take off only the parts that need buffing). I don't get the sense that the little pumice wheel lasts very long (will need a replacement pumice soon) but I felt that with about 7 minutes per foot I removed 2 summers' worth of callousesr. -Underarm attachment is great. Did not pinch my skin at all like the Emjoi sometimes does. -Does not hurt any more or less than the Emjoi. This epilating process involves zappy little tingles which I find to be quite tolerable. The Emjoi sounds louder and more machine-like in my opinion (which might make some women feel self-conscious I suppose, if they are in that phase of a relationship where they feel the need to appear delicate and ladylike all the time). The sound of the Emjoi would definitely invite jokes about weedwhacking and inquiries like, "what the heck are you doing in there?") -The skin on my legs is supersensitive and I find both the Emjoi and the Panasonic tolerable dry. My skin did not like the wet epilation with the Panasonic. I got little bumps that feel "hot" and I feel like it's taking a while (a couple hours) for the skin to get back to normal. This never happens when I epilate dry with very gentle pressure. -The Panasonic is WAY better on knees and ankles and shins due to the flexible angling of the dual heads (kind of like how those Venus shavers flex to match the shape of your knee). With the Emjoi, you have to get the angle just right or you end up sort of "missing" your skin/hair. I feel like this wastes time. -The Panasonic's light is GREAT. Perhaps that's one reason I was able to get my legs smoother. All in all, I think this will become a top seller soon, due to the versatility, having more/better attachments than either the Emjoi or Phillips comparable models. I think they both would be better without the bold colors, but that's just personal preference. I would prefer silver or plain black myself.

I've had both this and a cheaper Phillips epilator. This one was awesome. It lasted for two years until one too many drops finally broke it, and it did a really great job. The other one cost half as much but did a poor job and died in less than 5 months. The huge benefits of this one over the cheaper model: -The Panasonic lasted more than 2 years until I dropped and broke it vs. spontaneous death in under 5 months. -This has two sets of "blades" or "tweezers" and the surface area of them is twice as big so the whole process is a lot faster and takes half the time. -This one is can be easily cleaned IN the shower with just antibacterial hand soap so it's always there when you need it. The cheaper model can't get wet and needs to be scrubbed with dish soap and a tooth brush, so I always forgot it in the kitchen and remembered it was there when I was already undressed in the bathroom and about to reach for it. -This can be charged and used anywhere you like wirelessly. The other always has to be plugged into the wall which is a pain. Cord always gets tangled, outlets aren't where you want them, and it's a pain to pack on trip that involves beaches and hotel rooms with awkwardly placed outlets, whereas the this one can be charged before leaving home, tossed in a suitcase, and you get several uses out of it on each charge. -This one doesn't give nearly as many ingrown hairs as the other. Legs feel a lot smoother. -The light on this makes it a lot easier to see what you are doing. As for epilators in general, I (clearly) like them a lot. Yes, it hurts a little. You're tearing hairs out at the root. But it hurts less and less over time and if you exfoliate properly it does a great job at keeping down the ingrown hairs. It's awesome not to need to shave all the time and your legs are a lot smoother. I just got my new one in the mail and I could not believe how much faster and less painful it was than the cheap one that broke. Love it!

I gave this product 5 starts because it seems like a quality product. I purchased this epilator because it has a higher number of tweezers than some of the lower end models - this means more efficiency by pulling out more hair at one time. It's easy to clean and change out the attachments (though admittedly I didn't really use any of them). Holds a charge long enough for one full epilation session, and then some. Charges fairly quickly too. Also convenient that you can use it wet or dry, though I have only used it in a dry setting after I have just showered. Grabs short hairs which is a plus. I think the real question is - are you sure you want to epilate? I found it easy to get use to the pain of rather slowly pulling out all of your hair one epilator-wide strip at a time. In fact, I somewhat strangely enjoyed it! However the pain, appearance, and annoyance of INGROWN HAIRS is really what turned me off of epilating. I started getting ingrowns on my calves and shins, which I weirdly never get from shaving. My assumption is that the thicker hair is more likely to become ingrown. And I found that I couldn't exfoliate my legs enough to prevent this problem. I did not have the ingrown issue around the bikini area (surprisingly) or pits (ouch - but satisfying to have a perfectly smooth pit for days). I did find that with my slow growing hair, my legs stayed smooth for several or more days - quick touch ups with the epilator can remove any hair that starts to grow back. But for me, the ingrown situation was enough to call it quits on epilating.

With 3 kids 5 and under, I'm always looking for ways to make my morning routine shorter. I did a lot of research on epilators before I purchased and this one got very good reviews in general and was higher rated than others like it and had a lot of features. I found this on Amazon for a very very good price, so I purchased. I kind of liked it at first, but now almost a year later, I don't really like it that much and it just sits in the closet. Before the first use, I had let my hair grow about a week, then used it about a week later again since hair grows at different rates. The results lasted about 4 weeks before I felt like I needed to do it again. I don't have super thick body hair to begin with so there were always fine, blond hairs that the tweezers wouldn't grab and needed to be shaved because those fine blond hairs shimmer in the sun! I tried the electric razor attachment for that, but tbh my husband's electric razor works so much better. The more I used the epilator the finer the hair grew back and after a while the tweezers didn't even grab the hairs anymore because they were too fine. I found that over the winter when my legs weren't showing anyway, I didn't mind having the hair grow back before epilating again, but once summer came around again and my legs are showing more, the process was just not working for me at all and I'm back to regular razors. The other drawback, which I didn't mind at first but became annoying after a while is that it the process takes so much longer than just shaving in the shower. At first I thought it would be better to spend 20 minutes epilating/electric razoring once a month than a couple minutes in the shower every day, but it really isn't. long story short, if you're looking for something that will save you time and money over regular razors, this just isn't it. Maybe if you have very thick or plentiful hair it would be beneficial, but if you have fine or sparse hair as I do, this product just doesn't win over razors. As far as pain, it was fairly painful the first time, but you get used to it after a while. hurts less than waxing. A little note about the attachments: I always used the epilator with the guide because the one time I didn't use the guide it pinched my skin and that hurt a lot. The more narrow epilator for underarms is a joke, and also pinched my skin. The electric razor is by far the worst functioning electric razor I've ever used. You can get a cheap men's one that works better and gets a closer shave. Using the bikini trimmer attachment with the electric razor constantly clogs up and you have to rinse it every 2 seconds and barely functions as a bikini trimmer. The pedi attachment was OK, but it's just an extra, so why would you buy it just for that when you can get a pumice stone for a couple bucks at the drug store? Overall: absolutely NOT worth the money. Stick to regular razors or, if you have a serious body hair problem, consider electrolysis.

I was so excited about this thing! I anticipated having perfectly smooth legs and armpits for weeks - the Florida summer necessitating baring miles of skin every day lest you dissolve in a sweat puddle. Shaving every day was getting old, I have very dark hair and very light skin (so even if I had just shaved, you could see the dark dots of hairs waiting to spring forth), and I'm always looking for a way to save money and not keep buying pricey razor replacement heads. I had watched a few "first time epilation" videos on YouTube after I clicked order to steel myself for what was to come. Reactions seemed to range the gamut from "oh, this is nothing!" to screaming and crying and unable to carry on for more than a minute. I was... nervous. But when it came time for my to try it I... tried it on my husband's arm first! ;) He flinched a few times, but said it felt like getting a tattoo. I tried it on the front of my shin and had to agree: it feels a lot like getting a tattoo. At first its shocking and stings a bunch, but after a few passes, it just feels like an irritation, like someone rubbing your sunburn. So that is the good! It's not as painful as I thought it would be, even on my armpits and bikini zone. (Tops of my toes really hurt, though.) The meh: - Short charge life in the battery. It takes a good thirty minutes to epilate a fully hairy leg, and the charge lasts maybe 20 mins at full power. - As stated above, it takes a LONG TIME to remove the hair from any given area, and a lot of passes in every direction to find the way each hair is growing. - I feel like this has been snapping my hairs off instead of pulling them out by the root a lot. I SEE the pulled hairs with their little follicle bulbs, but over the next few days I get a handful of ingrowns and stubbles. I have yet to get a completely smooth leg or armpit using just this device, despite using it pretty much every day. (I'm a picker/plucker. This thing is my daily entertainment.) Maybe my hairs are too fine/delicate, but I doubt it. The extras are fun, but nothing extraordinary. The foot stone is very effective, and the electric razor is pretty basic. I find the bikini guard to be a little too generous. My biggest tips: + Swipe witch hazel over any area right after you epilate! It will soothe the skin and decrease those ugly red bumps. + Do this in broad daylight to see all the hairs. The light is ok, but in the sunlight I can really see the single hairs I've missed.

I've had an epilator for the past 10 years and although it still works, I decided to purchase this one, reading the positive feedback. What a game changer! I used to dread epilating because of how much it hurts, but with this epilator feels very smooth on my skin, even the armpits. It also grabs very very short hair, so I would recommend exfoliating before using it. I had my doubts about the light, but it is definitely useful. The shaving head works are advertised and is practical as well. Stop worrying and get yourself one, you'll be happy you did!

Es una excelente opción y barata si aguantan el dolor del epilador (con el tiempo uno se acostumbra y ya no duele) y si no, la rasuradora es muy buena. Me encanta que tiene varias cabezas con distintos tamaños y usos. Un extra que me encantó es la luz que resulta muy útil para no saltarse ni un vellito. También a la hora de limparlo me encanta que tiene el cepillo y también se puede lavarlo bien con jabón. Además, la duración de la batería es una maravilla ya que puedo usarla varias veces antes de recargarla. La última observación que quiero hacer es que no me gusta usar el cobertor para principiantes porque es más difícil deshacerse de todos los vellitos. A menos que les dé miedo como se miran las pinzas, no es necesario usarlo y nunca me he lastimado.

As a guy I'm very impressed with this thing. It's painful but does a good job down south. I prefer this over waxing, much cleaner and faster.
