Damaged Screw Extractor and Remove Set 22 PCS with Extension Bit Holder and Socket Adapter for Broken Screw or Bolt Stripped Remover

I had a single stripped recessed set-screw that prevented me from using a piece of equipment that would have cost me a lot more to replace than the cost of this set. Five minutes after I opened the package I was finished and able to continue. Even if I never use the set again, it saved me money.

I had an immediate need to get a stripped screw out and figured this is something I should have in my toolbox, so bought it. It worked, so for now, I give it 5 stars. A very basic instruction card would have been helpful, but I was successful without it.

Some people complained that the smaller bits will not fit the holder. That's true, but there is an adapter in the slot marked ADP that installs in the holder, and will take the smaller bits. There were no instructions with the kit I got, which is why some people might have missed that. Down rated a star because there is some wobble, but it doesn't seem to matter much.

Easily bored a hole in broken screw and got it out. I wasn't able to do it with the set I bought from home depot. This product worked much better than I expected. Very impressed.

Seemed like a good buy... well packaged, comes with a small plastic box with labeled slots for each piece, and the metal "felt" solid/heavy/etc. I needed to remove three stripped screws...the first screw broke the bit holder that comes with the set. Several hours later, ALL of the drill bits are dull beyond use, two of them are broken, and the threads on most of the extractor bits are ground done to the point of being useless. Oh...and all three screws were still embedded. I made a trip to the local box store, paid more for a set that has far fewer pieces, and got the job done that night. Chalk this one up to a great idea, good price, bad product. Might work great on handyman screws from HF... Maybe you'll have better luck?

These bits are super durable. Still working on an emergency remodel after our dishwasher flooded, and stripped a few screws in the process. This is a life saver and the carrying case is just the right size.

Couldn't drill through old screw rusted

I have never used a product like this before, followed the instructions included and checked out a video online before I started. It took all of 1 minute to remove a bolt stuck in my intake manifold!
