Amazing
Your first impression is it looks bad and looks uncomfortable. On the contrary, it looks VERY delicious in person, and holds comfortably compared to the 3DS. It's the size of a 3DS game case. It's design similar to a GameBoy. No 3DS clamshell design, you literally have the screens right in front of you. You won't have to worry about the hinges becoming loose, which is a nice plus. I've had 2 DSi's in the past that came apart due to loose hinges. The 2DS is stripped of the 3D feature, for a lower price. Another nice plus, no? Most people don't use 3D on the 3DS anyway. If you don't care about the 3D, even better. Yes, I'm sure there are games out there that utilize (not necessarily require) 3D for better gameplay. The only one I can recall at the moment is Super Mario 3D Land. Even then, there are plenty of other games on the market that don't require 3D, so it doesn't necessarily matter. The button placements are perfect. You have a FULL grip of the entire system, with each button at the tip of your thumbs. Worried about the L and R triggers? You can literally press them with just the tip of your fingers. They're so big it's amazing. As for the grip of the 3DS, people with larger hands have the grip their system uncomfortably to reach the buttons. I do have small hands and fingers, but to be honest, I thought the grip of the 3DS was uncomfortable and annoying regardless. The L and R buttons on the 3DS are to small in my opinion, and the I could never get a completely comfortable grip on that small surface area. The only con I can think of is lack of portability. For some people, hinges may important so they can fit the system in their pockets conveniently on the go and decrease the chances of being robbed. I agree. As for the 2DS, if your pockets are big enough, it will fit. However, part of the system's wedge will stick out. Nonetheless, it was still pretty badass just to grab the wedge and pull out your system just like that, as opposed to sticking your entire hand in your pocket. Even then, I'm only going to play it in my house or at another friend's house. Might have more important things to do elsewhere. All in all, this system clearly fit my needs. It may fit yours. For a more affordable price compared to the 3DS, even better. I've even had a few friends (who all have 3DS's) tried out my 2DS first hand. They all said it looked nice, held comfortably compared to their systems, and wished they even had it themselves. I am beyond satisfied with this system. And that concludes everything.

The high quality you expect from Nintendo
This little console is great! It is robust. It gets stepped on in the middle of the night and constantly has little foody, boogery, dirty fingers on the touchscreen and it still works like it's supposed to. The game cartridges fit snugly and securely in the port. They are easy to remove and don't fall out. The stylus holder is the same. The battery life lasts several hours and has flashing red lights to warn your kid that battery is going to die. You can charge and play at the same time. You can SUSPEND a game with a little sliding switch! Holy cow! No more, "LET ME SAVE!" The screens do not articulate like a 3DS or a regular DS. This is a FEATURE! This is one of the reasons we bought this. The less moving part the better in my house. YOU CAN PLAY 3DS GAMES ON IT!!! Only without the 3D (again, this is a feature for our son). I can't think of any Cons. It's a great Nintendo product at a good price. They really hit it out of the park with this console.

Once burned; Twice Shy (but my, oh my!)
These things are so difficult to find!!! I was previously burned by a reputable EBAY seller not long ago as I hunted this bundle down online and in stores. So, I was skeptical of how this used bundle from an Amazon seller would turn out and, much to my relief, it did NOT disappoint! The bundle came very well packaged, clean, and organized WITH the charger, game (as advertised, bit on a cartridge and not a digital installation), AND a 4GB SD card thrown in! The factory reset had already been done, so you get to experience the system like it was fresh out of the box. The only "defects" were a very small scratch and ding on the upper right hand corner of the system, but all of the buttons worked great and the whole system just feels nearly new! I WILL add that upon the initial set up of the system the buttons don't do anything, but that is because it's just a part of the system set up. Once you get everything set up via the touch screen pad, it all starts working so don't freak out like I almost did. I cannot thank this seller enough for making my son's birthday so so special. Please know that your care and consideration does impact my kid in a hugely positive way, so thank you so much!

Great alternative to expensive 3ds XL and *NEW* 3ds & 3ds XL systems.
I love nintendo a lot. I use to have a regular 3ds but i made a mistake and broke it and could no longer play it. I always wanted a new one but then nintendo kept coming out with new models nearly every other year so I would always want the newest one but could never afford it since i'm a kid and don't have a job. I was hesitant about a 2ds because i thought that #1 without it being able to close it would break just as easily as my last game #2 from what i had seen in pictures and online was that the 2ds was a lot smaller than the other 3ds systems. After a lot of research and watching videos i decided to get it anyway & i was actually pleasantly surprised!!!!!! :) The truth is yes it is a lot smaller than other systems but it actually fits and feels great in the palm of my hands when i'm playing. I also love that it doesn't have that 3d feature like my old one did. I rarely used it anyway and when i did it would just hurt my eyes & give me a headache. Overall i'm very satisfied with it and would recommend it to anyone who wants a 3ds system for a very cheap price or to anyone who has kids who wants one and don't want to spend a fortune. Makes a great gift also!!! :)

Eshop gone
While the product itself is great, works and is clean, the eshop is no longer taking download codes so do not expect the code to work. It feels overpriced for the fact that there is no game available with this purchase.

Overall decent but buy your own charger
It works although it glitches sometimes. The charger it comes with doesnโt work, I luckily had another one. The device indicated that it was charging with the charger it came with but wouldnโt actually charge. Had to use a different charger for it to actually hold any power. Not bad for the price but beware the charging issue. I was worried at first that they had sent me a dud.

Just as good as the 3DS, if not better.
I first borrowed a 3DS off a relative, in which time I was able to play and actually finish Super Mario 3D Land -- a game that allegedly needed 3D, but found myself seldom using. Part of my motivation for buying my own handheld was to complete some of the series I had already started on the DS, but also because I felt I was missing out on a great deal of entertaining titles. Like many others have stated, I think the 3D is a gimmick for the most part and I found it difficult to view for prolonged periods of time. With that said, why pay extra for a feature I'll hardly use? That's where the brilliant 2DS comes in. Sadly, the 2DS has become a bit of a recurring joke in the Nintendo gaming community, but let not the admittedly awkward-looking, flat design of this product fool you. Once you actually hold this baby in your hands, you'll be surprised at how much more comfortable it is than the original clamshell. While the speakers aren't as loud here, this is never too much of an issue for me since I prefer to play in quiet areas to begin with. I mean, the price is incredible, it can do everything the 3DS can do (except close and display 3D obviously), and I'm not complaining.

Is the 3D quality of a 3DS worth an additional 50-30 dollars?
I got this 2DS about three months ago and everything is in shape. ---- In comparison to the DSi ---- -The battery charger is identical to the one I got with my DSi - All games and DSiWare can be used and transferred to the 2DS, but the data will be deleted and the transfer cannot be undone - What the DSi has that the 2DS doesn't is Flipnotes Hatena, which is a application that allows user to make, well, flipnotes. A application that I've found to replace it is Inchworms Animation, which is $5 and is sold at the DSiWare, which can be accessed through the 2DS - There IS a free game that comes with the 2DS, which is Face Raiders. I was pleasantly surprised at how fun it is. - A feature that is also gone is the convenient screen brightness levels. Unlike the DSi, whose screen brightness can be changed by holding the power button and push up/down on the volume, you need to go to the home screen and click to the top right for options. Doing so won't close a 3DS/2DS game, but it will for a DS game - Obviously, you can't fold the 2DS. This means more dust on the screen. Get a screen protector! - A major problem with the DSi was the L and R buttons, which broke because of dust buildup ( blowing into it will momentarily fix the problem, but will end up ruining the device eventually from the moisture that comes when you blow). The 2DS' L and R buttons seem sturdier. - Folders can be created on the home screen, no big deal - The Circle-Pad is comfortable and easy to use. The arrow buttons, not so much, but it's still possible to use. You can use the Circle-Pad as a replacement for them for DS games. - BIGGER TOP SCREEN: awesome. It won't stretch normal DS games, which I found surprising since there is a DSiXL. Is there an option for this? - The stylus is different, not as thin and easier to grip - !!Awesomer store!! There are free demos and full-on games a-plenty at the eShop, with tons of older games like Super Mario Bros, or galaga. I'm a bit disappointed that EarthBound isn't for sale though. - I've also gotten Kid Icarous: Of Myths and Monsters free from Nintendo Club (the 2DS is 100 coins, older games like Mario 3D Land is 10, and newer ones 20-40. You need 150-200 coins to get a 100% free game), which anyone can get after signing up, filling out a survey per game, and getting a code which you use through the eShop on your 2DS/3DS to get the specific game. -SteatPass: A fun little feature, and nothing more. Basically, bring this on a car drive or whatever and later see if you've met any other miis ---- comparison to the 3DS ---- I don't have a 3DS, but I have tried them every now and then. The grip around the 2DS is overall easier because there is more room for your palm. Also, it can be difficult to play without the 3D at times. Mario 3D Land, for an example. A 3D effect that the 3DS offers helps see the distance from one block to another. I've still managed to get along just fine, however. If you can get all the stars in Mario 64, Mario 3D Land is quite the piece of cake. Lastly, I believe turning on the 3D on a 3DS takes up more batteries, while I'm not certain. If you're anything like me, than you hate 3D in anything. Sure, it's fun initially, but tiresome after a while. So buying a 3DS worth the additional 50-30 bucks? In my opinion, nope.

Perfecta para toda la familia.
La compre para mi hija de 4 aรฑos, y la maneja muy bien, igual que mi otro hijo de 11 y yo de adulta, se acomoda . Lee cartuchos de DS y 3DS, sin el efecto 3D.
