No it doesn't make you sleep. It is a black tea which is a stimulant. If you want a tea that will make you sleepy you will need one like Chamomile. Or find a sleepy time tea. Tropical tea tastes good done cold with a slice of orange.

Is the tea bags made of plastics?

YES! All pyramid style tea bags are made of plastic. It is either nylon or PET. This is true regardless of whether they call them "silken" or "mesh". The material is plastic and releases billions of micro- and nano-plastic particles into your tea and they are not compostable like traditional tea bags. My suggestion, if you really must have tea sold in these bags, is to get a reusable stainless steel diffuser and cut the bags open, put the tea into your diffuser to brew it, and put the empty bag in the recycle bin.
