4M Mermaid Doll Making Kit, 8.5 inches

I love how this kit comes with the doll fully sewn already. All you have to do is create clothes and add a personality to the blank doll. I do wish that there were options for multiple skin colors as there’s only one. Overall super cute, lots of opportunity for creativity, great project to do with a kid

Gave to niece for 6th birthday and she absolutely loved it! Had so much fun putting it together. Good quality

This was a cute doll but definitely not for a child to put together without a great deal of assistance. If the child has had sewing lessons perhaps but even then the child would need help.

It is a great toy. I purchased it for my five year old, and of course she cannot set it all up by herself, but it is a nice project to share time with your kids. If you want a toy to keep your child busy while you go about with your own stuff, this is not for you, unless you have older kids. If you want to spend time creating something together, this is it. The main purpose of this kit is in enjoying the process, not the final product.

The idea of this doll making kit is nice, but not practical. My daughter was all into mermaids for her birthday so I picked this project up for her as she likes crafts. All the materials are nice and instructions are clear. However, everything goes on with double sided tape. This is not a doll that they can play with after it is put together because it all falls apart. The hair has surprisingly stayed on the longest, but all the scales came off within a day. Not a good project and disappointed with the outcome. Does make a cute doll, but again only looks like a mermaid because of tape. Giving it 3 stars because if you want to take more time with it you could handstitch the fabric on and have a nice project, but would require more adult help.

My 4 yo granddaughter loves although difficult for a 4 yo. She insists on five stars. I would have said four stars as the double sided tape is impossible to use, and we had to purchase actual double sided tape. This is a two day project for us.

I made this with my granddaughter, age 7, and she really enjoyed it. I used a glue gun which is why I rated the adhesion a 3. I would recommend this product. Very very cute and could be completed within an hour or less.

I absolutely loved these little dolls. I will admit that cutting scales out of that material was killing my wrist, and took waaaaay too much time, which is why I did not give a total five stars. I did not use the adhesives that came in the kit. I used a hot glue gun and the dolls seem to be holding up pretty well on day three now, one of them being handled by a four year old. They turned out super cute over all, even though they took us 4 hours to complete (mostly from the cutting of all the pieces and I had two kits ;) ) but we loved them enough that we ordered the fairy and princess kits as well. Hopefully they don't have quite as many pieces to cut.
