Nordic Ware Easy Breakfast Set - Omelet Pan and 2 Cavity Egg Poacher (Microwaveable)

Purchased to replace their original style egg poacher which has lasted for several years. I accidentally broke one of the plastic hinges on the old model and thought it could no longer be used. I hesitated on ordering this newer style due to comments about it not securely latching, but after ordering and reading the included instructions I realized the latch is entirely unnecessary. If the simple directions are followed to poke 4 holes in each yolk then this prevents the yolks from exploding, thus there is no need to securely clamp the lid. Learning this led me to realize my older model still works fine even though one of its hinges is broken, so I now use both old and new poachers. The omelet pan is also a nice bonus to have. Before cracking eggs into the poacher or omelet pan I coat the cavities with a thin layer of avocado oil which makes the cooked eggs slide out more easily and reduces cleanup. After cracking/pouring eggs I grab a toothpick and poke 4 holes per yolk and have not had a single incident of eggs exploding, the instructions also mention adding a small amount of water but after testing both with and without water I no longer add water, solely because I cannot tell a difference by skipping that step. For slightly runny organic jumbo eggs the sweet spot on my 1000 watt microwave seems to be 55 seconds. These are fast, easy to use, and good value items to have.

I bought this item mainly out of curiosity, expecting something that would work reasonably well, but to my surprise, both are fantastic. I am about to order a second pack.

Purchased these to easily do the poached eggs. It works well, but you're going to give it a try or two before you find out exactly how long to nuke them. Be careful, if you cook it too long you will end up with it blasting all over the microwave. Once your got it right, it works almost perfectly, don't forget to add just a little bit of water with the eggs. It looks good, the size will hold up to "jumbo" eggs, very easy to clean and a great price. I have not tried the omelet pan yet though, don't usually make omelets. If you want to have an easy way to poach eggs, this is it.

My boyfriend is appreciative that I’m not burning anymore pans and for a of a perfect poach egg.. I have high watt microwave and the instructions are perfect for my in region Utah. It’s worth the splurge.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 please follow the instructions. Are you just gonna make a return . If you are not inclined to put in dishwasher for the instructions, please warm water dawn soap wash it out with a nice towel. make sure it’s dry in the morning hand was only perfection. It won’t snap perfect but it’s egg will be epic.

Regarding the poacher, I'm sure it's great if it closed while cooking but it keeps popping open since first try. I have not tried the omelet maker yet.

I love these two microwave cookers. I’m too lazy to bust out pans and do it the right way. Alternating between omelets and poached eggs every morning. Got the best timing for my microwave figured out. Would definitely purchase again and probably will eventually to have in multiple living quarters.

Very easy to use. Great for making a sandwich.

The poacher was bent where the two pieces meet. Everytime I opened it I have to wiggle it and same to get it to close completely. Other than that it's a good product and quick for when you are in hurry. I haven't used the omlette maker, but it doesn't seem to have the same issue.

The egg poacher does not close and I would not recommend buying it. The omelette maker is well made and I would recommend this
