Lasko Cyclone Oscillating Pedestal Fan - Adjustable to 54" - 1843 - Black

An eight year old could put this thing together. Then you just got to plug it in and turn it on. It makes just enough noise to drown out outside noise when your sleeping. It's got a remote.....enough said about that. IYKYK. You'll need to break it down and clean it occasionally. If you can't do that there's probably a lot of things you can't do. Beyond that it blows air on you and it feels good. You can raise it up or lower it down. Push a button and it will oscillate back and forth. Don't overthink it. It's just a fan.

Good fan. It’s not quiet, but the noise is just airflow, not humming or squeaking. Remote works well, and I don’t have any complaints, except I wish it had lasted longer. I bought it just over 7 years ago, and last week it turned itself off and won’t turn back on.

It's a fan that REALLY blows strong! Plus the remote control is handy. Too bad only ONE remote is included - other remotes in the different models of Lasko don't work with it. You must adjust the oscillation feature by hand. (When the fan blades themselves moves back and forth.) With the old LASKO I had, you could adjust that with the remote - but not this one. I LOVE the color - black - because it doesn't distract my peripheral vision. The base is stable and the head of the fan tips quite far upward. I did wipe it with static wipes to prevent the blades from retaining dust and throwing it back out again. (We'll see if that works as intended over time, it's the first experiment that I got on advice.) It's easy to take apart when it does need cleaning, (though it did require putting together. But it was easy, my guy friend didn't even look at the directions and did it fast with no problem.) I really am enjoying it. Don't have anything bad to say about it so far and I've been using it a few weeks now.

This is a good large fan - I use it outside on my screen porch to circulate the air when it’s hot out (I live in North Carolina) - 3 power settings, quite powerful on the highest setting, the noise from the fan is as expected (not too loud, but not super quiet), easy to assemble. My only complaint would be that the remote has very little range - you need to be standing within a foot of the fan for it to work.

I've been in my bungalow for 18 years. If you're wondering, that's 18 years that I've been hot upstairs every summer! I am talking the kind of hot where you can't sleep at night. I had two ceiling fans for all of those years, and it didn't really make a difference. Still hot! I decided to splurge a little on this fan. I've never spent more than maybe $20 and only ever purchased box fans. I thought the remote control would be kinda nice and the height too. Let me tell you, this fan is amazing and made all the difference! It's super powerful and has a locking feature to stop it from oscillating. It was easy to assemble too. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. My husband even wants to get a second one for his garage!

Wow! This fan gets a 20/5 stars all the way, The fan is beautiful, Oscillates nice is slow, easily put together, easily adjustable. The remote is simple and the timer is genius. Love this fan!

At first I was a little skeptical as this would of been the 3rd fan I purchased from Lasko. But this fan has actually surprised me. First off it has 5 blades with 3 air speeds. and the lowest air speed is actually cooling. As soon as you turn it on you can feel the cool power flowing. I highly recommend this brand and this model of fan for use. I am highly satisfied with it.

Ok so lets get the bad out of the way and the reason for the 4 stars. I will be comparing this to my broken Honeywell's experience. So far I'm loving this fan but i really didn't like the fact the whole fan is pretty much made out of plastic and the base is big, like twice the size of my Honeywell base. so if you have very limited space in your bedroom like me, make sure you have room for it. So I just took my old Honeywell base from my fan that broke and slapped it on the Lasko. Take notes Lasko if you are going to charge more than Honeywell at least make the base metal, the Honeywell base and construction for the most part is made of metal,feels very solid and not only is it made of metal but at the bottom it screws in to make sure the metal rod doesn't move. with the slight modification this fan is the best thing ever. I wish the whole thing wasn't made out of plastic. Like the fan grills I'm used to having fans that have a metal construction but i decided to take a chance on this anyway but it seems to hold up well so far. Don't bother with the Velcro that comes with the remote, its cheap and it loses its adhesive after 24 hours so get your own Velcro if you need it. Also the remote strength isn't that strong, I tested it by pointing the remote in the opposite direction of the fan and it would not work unless I pointed it directly at the fan but its still nice to have for those days you're feeling extra lazy. lol Also why cheap out and not make the oscillation on the fan a button instead of the old way of waiting for it to move to the right spot and pull the switch on the back, my Honeywell had a button you could just press real quick instead, minor inconvenience to me, maybe I'm just spoiled, its just kind of confusing to come from a fan that was cheaper and used better materials and function for its design. Stay with me though these are just my personal critiques others may not care about at all. Now for the Good. Fan is strong and at setting one it has enough power for my needs, but this thing can go full force and blow a lot of air if you need it too, its much stronger than my old Honeywell and from what I heard Lasko makes really good long lasting fan motors. I like the fact that it has a built in timer for the fan, the Lasko logo looks great. Easy to assemble in a few minutes, I like the larger grill I feel like it pushes more air out due to its design better than my Honeywell. Also if the fan is making weird noise like clicking in the beginning, you might have made the same mistake as me and not put on the center hub that holds the fan blade in place tighter, I had to tighten it as hard as I could to make the noise go away so make sure you don't tighten it too loosely I wont hold that against them though it was user error. If Lasko took some construction cues from Honeywell in the future and opted for more of a metal build their fans would be the best in my opinion but I'm guessing the cost of a reliable motor makes them want to cheap out on the construction of the fan a bit, BUT overall its a good fan and I'm happy with it for the most part. This is my first Lasko fan so I'm hoping it lasts a long time. If you are looking for a fan that blows a lot of air this is for you. Despite my criticisms I'm happy with this fan so far. I hope it holds up well. If you don't mind a big base and the plastic construction you should get this fan.

The power on this fan is an understatement. The air it blows will make anyone want to use a comforter in the middle of summer. Not to mention that's just on the first speed....Yes it has higher speed options. Careful when setting up as I broke the component that makes it swivel. The fan also is quite loud because of the amount of air it blows. Also the fan is big. 10/10 highly recommend.

Fan is large and powerful. Kinda loud buy I don't mind. Remote is nice but it doesn't have the turning function on the remote. Still a great fan, keeps you very cool
