I have always been a little skeptical about changing my pump on my hot tub, however now that we are retired it is nice to save some money, and I have the time to do this myself. The last time I had the pump replaced they charged me $960, and that was six years ago, so I know it would likely cost over $1,000 now. This was the same brand pump they used, so I ordered it here on Amazon. I watched a couple of videos on replacing hot tub pumps and then went to work on this. I took my time and found the process was actually quite easy. The most difficult part was finagling the pump out of the cabinet, but it just took some patience. It just took a bit of time, a couple swear words, and I must say I think I did a much better job than the company that had installed it six years ago. They had not put on the floor bolts, and left old parts and towels in the floor of the hot tub. It is much quieter now, likely since I tightened the pump down tight. Apparently, they did not want to spend the time as it was hard getting the correct wrench in there to tighten the bolts down. It cost me less than a third of what I would pay to have a service man to do it, and did a much better job myself. I now will do other repairs and just take my time doing it. There are so many great videos online to make the job fairly easy.

The first pump I received came in a messed up box- the housing was dented, the floor plate was bent, and the electrical cap looked like it was dragged on the road. I used the Amazon app for a return, and it asked if I wanted a replacement, I said yes. I had a new pump in a perfect box delivered four days later. This pump was in brand new condition, and although the floor plate was smaller, I was able to make it work. Electrical lined up perfectly. It probably took me an hour. Make sure you take a pic of existing wiring just in case and finger tight the connections. Highly recommend at this point...and I will update if it stops working ;).

So I was very skeptical about ordering a hot tub pump from Amazon but after doing some research I gave it a shot. Remember with pumps, you cannot go by HP you have to go buy the amperage rating that's on your current pump, so for instance this one was a 12/4.4 and if you use a calculator it will help you match it up. Also make sure you get the correct frame (48 and 56). Anyways, I didn't know anything about hot tub pumps until I did some research. This thing runs really quietly (though it's a tad less powerful than my old circulation pump) but it does the job and was a lot cheaper than the alternatives I found online. Plus I enjoy buying with Amazon. Def happy with it so far but let's see how long it lasts.

My original pump for my hot tub lasted 12 years. This pump lasted only 67 days. When I contacted the company that sold it to try and get a replacement or refund I was told that because it was more than 30 days they would not replace it or give me a refund. They told me to contact the manufacturer who has no information about the sale at all, and does guaranteethe product. I was probably better off going to a local supply store in buying a pump in person. Local tend to Merchants stand behind the products they sell and don't pass the buck. Before doing business with a company that kicks the can down the road you should probably support your local merchant. I would have paid about $50 more had I bought it from a local. Now I wasted 370 bucks and have to buy a new one. Buying expensive products on line is risky. Update: I took a while but I got hold of the Manufacturer. I had to Email videos of the pump Making noises to them. Took a while but I did get the pump replaced and they paid for shipping.

I am getting better at replacing these than I would like to be, this was 3 of 3 on our hot tub so hopefully I am finished for a few years. Overalll, this unit was the same as the original equipment on my 2012(ish) MasterSpa, however there is a small 3/8th inch hose barb fitting for a recirculation line that required a trip to the hardware store for the fitting, and then I had to drill out the plastic behind the plug in the position that the fitting was needed. The wiring was straight forward, but slightly different that the original pump so some attention had to be paid to which wire goes where.

Great Pump with outstanding reviews. My spa tech recommended this pump but when it came it wouldn’t fit. It was taller, sat sideways couldn’t bolt to the floor. Giving a 5 star because I was able to return it brand new and reorder one that would fit similar to the old one LX brand. Waterway Pumps are the best on the market. Before ordering. Contact these guys. Be sure to get a second opinion and they will match your model number to something similar so that it fits without damaging your spa t. H

I’d give the product a solid 5 stars but man, I can’t get a unit free of damage. Ordered same one a year ago when the secondary pump failed. Arrived with bent mounting tabs and cracked wet head. Couldn’t wait to install due to weather so I pilfered the old head and put on new motor. All well. Primary pump failed this year so I figure maybe the figured protective shipping. Nope. Pump arrived with destroyed wet head. Being a pro a swapping the heads I did to get the unit running. They were happy to have me ship it back for a new one (hopefully not broken in transit) but I only needed the wet head. I swapped the heads again and. Have it running Atleast. Be forewarned. They pack it well but Not enough to prevent UPS from blowing up the head. You can always buy just the output cover or while wet head I found. Overall, motor is quiet and easy to swap. First motor still quietly running hours a day. After a few messages the seller credited me the amount for a new discharge cover. For that I will give it a 5-star review.

This vendor was my 3rd attempt to get an undamaged pump. Great quality job in packing. The pump has been working trouble-free in my swimspa for over 2 months. Either I'm getting weaker as a swimmer or this pump is more powerful than the original 4hp pump.
