Easy to Install - Will Update in 6 Months
The lock was easy to install using the QR code which leads to the app, and from the app I was able to install my partner and I's fingerprint. It was intuitive enough that we didn't need to use the instructions to do so. The lock was already charged, I appreciate that, but the rubber seal over the charging part was a little hard to pop open (I used a knife edge to open it and it was fine). Works well opening it with our finer prints and the app. Well done. I will use this lock on my garage and will probably open it 1 to 3 times per week. I will update how well it works in November 2023, if there are any long term issues. If I don't do so, that means there are none. I have other things to do. To those that have trouble using the lock every day and/or with "wet" gym fingers. 1. Dry off your finger, air it out, blow air on it. Maybe they have towels. Try yelling at it. Sorry this isn't Star Trek and every new technology doesn't work perfectly in every possible scenario. A lot of things don't work when saturated: car, cigars, paper, your laptop, etc., etc. 2. If you use everyday, a lot, the battery will die faster. Surprise. Surprise.

Good Battery Life, works as expected, fingerpad needs to be dry
Had this for about 4 months now and use it daily. Once it’s set up it works as advertised. Sometimes you have to reset your finger 2-3 times to get it to open but it’s not a huge hassle. If your finger is wet it doesn’t work great and you have to dry your finger/thumb and the scan surface in order to get it to work. I am in SoCal so it rarely rains here. Battery life is impressive. Only charged it once in 4 months and it probably didn’t even really need that charge. I do wish there was a way for guests to use it like a key option as some other locks have but it hasn’t been an issue for us.

Fail
Let me start by saying this product was exactly what I was looking for and at first it worked as expected, but ultimately it failed me in a big way. I use a padlock almost everyday, when I go to my gym. I am getting older so seeing the dials on a combination padlock became a problem. I started using a keyed lock instead, but hated having to carry the key around with me. This fingerprint padlock seemed to be the answer; and it was, for a while. I started to notice that after my workout, after my shower, the sensor wouldn't always pick up my fingerprint. If I waited a little while, and dried off my fingers and the lock, it would eventually recognize the pattern and open the lock. The first time it happened it worried me but I got used to that was how it worked. (Incidentally, I had coded multiple fingers/fingerprints onto the lock, just to be safe, and none would be recognized when this happened.) I checked the battery on the lock, to make sure it was not running down, and it showed the charge was over 90%, even after a month and a half in service, which I thought was awesome. Last night, however, after my workout, the lock wouldn't open, and the sensor indicator lights stopped lighting up. I tried all of my tricks and nothing worked, the lock would not respond. Adding to the problem, I had worked out late and my club was closing. I waited about 5 minutes, trying the lock, unsuccessfully, on and off. Finally, I was forced to walk through the club with a towel wrapped around me, to go to the front desk, to get something I could cut the lock off with. This was 5 minutes before closing. I had to cut the lock so that I could get into my locker, where all of my clothes, wallet, mobile phone, and car keys were. You see the problem. The lock is now ruined and useless. When I got home I tried the sensor again, and it worked fine, i.e., it recognized my fingerprint and the lights indicted the lock would have unlatched, had it not been broken off. The perfect solution for such a technology would be to have a backup/override solution for if/when the biometric/fingerprint functionality doesn't work. Perhaps a combination override that could be used instead. That would provide the convenience of being able to use the fingerprint technology most of the time, with the peace of mind of having another way to open the lock should the fingerprint technology fail. It is a very helpless feeling when the lock you depend on fails and you have no other option then to destroy it to get to the stuff it was supposed to protect. Ultimately I cannot recommend this product. I found that it just couldn't be trusted.

Great lock but only lasted 2 years
I loved how easy it was to use the lock. No need for keys or memorizing a combo. My fingers need to be dry so hopping out of the shower at the gym and trying to open was a small issue if I didn’t dry my hands well. The lock worked perfectly for 2 years then the motor that opens the lock stopped working.

Great lock, won't last forever but none do.
This lock works well. It died after 13 months and the company sent me a new one even though it was beyond the warranty period. I can't help but respect that. Frankly after viewing comments on other fingerprint locks, they don't last forever because the battery eventually gives out.

Excellent lock.
It looks like the company who makes this (and many of the other identical locks) must have listened to the reviews by a couple of the locksmith/pickers on YouTube. They have fixed the issues with this lock that they pointed out. Of course, no lock is 100% secure, I don't care who makes it. A grinder with a cut-off wheel will open one every time. But as far as this lock being easily and quickly accesses that has been fixed. This lock is very secure. My hands get pretty beat up with what I do for a living so the finger print reader does not always work. When my finger is not chewed up, and rough, it works every time. The app is a little clunky but it is very secure with it's separate password. You also must use the app to connect it to a secure bluetooth connection. I have had this lock for a while now and it has yet to be picked, unlike some of the other I was using.

Highly recommended as a locker lock
After reading some Amazon reviews, I was hesitant to get this lock. But it has greatly exceeded my expectations. This is not a lock to lock an outside shed, or home. But as a locker lock, to prevent a quick grab and dash at a gym, or a work locker, it is absolutely perfect for me. My old lock had a combo. As my eyesight gets worse, it is difficult for me to read the combo without glasses. Especially in low light. And I don’t want to always wear my glasses. And if I had a locker lock with a key, it’s only a matter of time before I lost the key. Or left it at home. Or left it in my car. This lock unlocks with your fingerprint. You set that up in advance. It actually takes quite a few reads before it confirms your fingerprint. Once confirmed, it seems to unlock the lock quickly. More reliably than the fingerprint scanner on my Galaxy s9+ phone. Yes, you can unlock via Bluetooth too. But you have to ‘turn on’ the lock to connect to Bluetooth. Which means, you need to touch the front of the lock. Might as well use your fingerprint. Although, that’s a great alternative in case you cut your finger, etc. And yes, it does appear to unlock the lock via fingerprint, even if you aren’t connected to Bluetooth. After setting up my finger print, I had several work friends and family members attempt to unlock with their finger prints. So far, no go, except for me. I’ve been using it for about 12 days now and it still shows a 100% charge. It was at 60% when I got it. I’m guessing it will last for a long time without a charge (which can be checked via the phone app). Highly recommended!

Lasted a year on a full charge and now doesnt connect
I am typing this review a year after purchasing it for those who are curious on this locks performance. I bought this for my locker at work since having to use a combination lock over and over is a pain. This lock connected pretty quick when I bought it and charged pretty quickly. It lasts for about a little more than 6 months on a full charge too which is amazing. Everything was well ok until this past month. I opened the lock and noticed it wouldn't lock back again. I even tried to reconnect it using the app (dbd+ or something) but it wouldn't connect. It reconnected after I plugged it into a wall outlet but I noticed there was no light indicator for when it was charging. I left it to charge for a couple hours before reusing it and it lasted for exactly a week before it had connection issue again. I decided to charge it for a whole day after reconnecting it with the app and even that only lasted about a week and a half. I have read other reviews before buying this which most of them saying their lock started to have connectivity issues after around 9 months. Though it wasnt alot of people so I decided to buy one anyways and now here I am. I will rate all the features 5 out of 5 but the overall rating is a 3 because it only lasted for EXACTLY 1 year for me.

Worth the price
It’s working great even after 3 months. Fingerprint may not work if the finger is wet.

Not good
I bought two of these padlocks. One of them unlocks to any fingerprint and the other doesn’t connect at all! And the App once you register the lock on it, you really have to fight with it before it lets you see the product, you click on the product and it returns you back to select it again.

Stay clean and dry.
I’m writing this to pass on my experiences with this lock (I have 2 and buying 2 more) after reading other reviews. The fingerprint sensor does NOT work if there is water/moisture between your finger and the sensor. Also if your fingers have been exposed to water/moisture/hand lotion, your skin moves/changes/softens altering your fingerprint for a brief period ( time will vary from person to person for a few different reasons) until the skin has a chance to return to “normal “ as it was when you first setup the fingerprint(s) If you have damaged the skin on your finger and it left a scar/crease/fold it is likely to not recognize the finger immediately and more attempts with shifting your finger slightly may be required, and worse case scenario it won’t open at all. Always set up more than one fingerprint. It’s just common sense. Make sure your fingers are clean and dry , free from natural body oils, dust, pet hair, through static clinging, tape/glue residue , just to name a few contaminants. The battery life has never been a problem so far and I use one daily opening it 10x/day. You can also open the lock with your cellphone as a backup with the app downloaded to your phone. It works very well. I hope this helps for anyone who may be experiencing some difficulty when trying to open the lock. I have a different brand of fingerprint lock that works well but the size is smaller and I prefer and recommend this lock. Defects happen and new technology needs time to iron out any unforeseen issues by manufacturer so stay calm and chill when $h!+ happens. Solving the problem is much easier when you’re not upset or in a panic. I know. lol
