What's the distance between the uprights on the shelves. I'm trying to figure out if the handles on my cast iron dumbbells are too short for the rack.

The distance between the shelves themselves is 13". The spacing between the shelf bars is 4.5". They fit standard dumbbells fine. The neoprene covered inexpensive type are a little too small and fit at a tilted angle with one end resting on the top lip.

Will the rack hold 350 lbs?

If would weight wise, but with its length I'm not sure it has the room. For example from side to side it has space for about three pairs of dumbells from 10 to 50 lbs......... Hope this helps.

what is the length inside between the two post? And can I just install one of the horizontal bars? I’m trying to fit something underneath the top bar

It is 28" between the vertical post but only 24" between the posts at the bottom rail between the two angle brackets. The bottom cross rail attaches to the posts on these two angle brackets. The angle brackets are welded on the inside of each post so the cross rail can attach to it. You can see them in the picture. If you want to fill up the top cross bar with weights you may not want to use it with the bottom rail unattached. You would have to try it out I guess.

is it brown, gray or black? i like black or gray or black/gray

Its kind of a light "battle ship" gray with some black parts. No brown.
