I was able to easily seal up the scratches with this product
This putty works extremely well. I have used it for two automotive applications so far. My oil pan was leaking due to a few deep scratches. I was able to easily seal up the scratches with this product. It becomes hard after about 1 minute, so you need to work relatively fast, but it is perfect for use in an area if you don't have a long time to wait or can't clamp well. It has been about a month and it is bone dry under my oil pan still. I also used it to fix a plastic piece that held my throttle cable in place, which had snapped (see picture). Again, it was perfect because there is tension on the throttle cable and I had no way of clamping while the glue dried. I held the putty in place for about a minute, and it was strong enough for me to let go without the tight cable moving the newly repaired unit. Highly recommend for just about any use.

VERY NICE - FIXED MY SPA
I used this to seal a leak in my SPA. It is actually under pressure and held great. Set time is only about 4 minutes so you have to be quick. It saved me a lot of work and a lot of money. The leak was right at the jet body so I would have had to replace a lot of pipe and the Jet body. Instead, I just sanded the pvc down a little to scuff the surface, mixed the two part putty, rolled it into a snake shape, pushed it into the seam where the leak was and let it dry. When I tested it 24 hours later, I was leak free. It has now been holding for about three months. Highly recommended.

the world's strongest bond
The J-B Weld Company was founded in 1969 by Sam and Mary Bonham.Sam had discovered a need for a “cold weld” product to use in his truck service garage, instead of traditional torch welding. Working with a Texas A&M chemist, he formulated an original “tougher than steel” two-part epoxy and named it J-B Weld JB Weld claims to be "the world's strongest bond" and while I cannot confirm their claims, I can say that the product works. I've used JB Weld for numerous applications and never been disappointed. This tube comes with 2oz of epoxy putty (consistency of silly putty basically). You mix it together (two compounds) and then apply as needed. It sets up quickly and cures in 1hr. I generally think it's wise to let it cure overnight if you can but in 2-3 hrs it's hard as a rock. Most recently I used JB Weld to fit a rust spot in an old cast iron tub. I applied it consistent with the instructions, sanded it down, and painted over it with a white enamel and it looks almost as good as new. Also good for boats, cars, some plumbing applications, etc.

Great Stuff
I have used various brands of epoxy putty sticks over the years and they all are amazing. The JB Weld product is no exception. Cut off a length with a knife and blend for a minute or so. Mold it and stick it to whatever and wherever you want. It hardens like steel. I find the best blending technique to be an initial push together and using my hands I just roll it into a long thin (1/4") string. I then fold this string onto itself and twist and roll again. I repeat this rolling and twisting process several times until the colors are properly blended. When the colors are blended and you have a single uniform color the product is ready for use. My most recent project was to repair a rusting gas line. The line wasn't broken but was badly rusted at the ground level. I brass wire brushed the loose rust and then applied about 1/3rd of a stick of the JB Weld around the pipe and pressed it in place. Before it had completely set I wrapped and pressed in a length of drywall mesh tape. I then applied another third of a stick and repeated the process. I eventually used the entire stick to secure the pipe. While the drywall mesh tape was not intended for this purpose it did assist with my molding efforts to maintain an even application around the pipe. The repair job is now as hard as steel and should last a very long time. The next day two of my neighbor's kids came over and were having difficulty with their newly hand-made racing cars. The kit supplied axles kept falling out of the wood block body. One of the cars didn't meet the weight requirement for an upcoming race. Luckily I had purchased two tubes of JB Weld and used it to better affix the axles. I also mounted an old 35mm film canister to the one that didn't meet its weight requirement and we filled it with nuts and washers until it was heavy enough. Epoxy putty may not get used every day but it is really handy when you need it. It seems to store well in the original tube as I have used previously opened tubes after a year or more without a problem.

Servizio Amazon perfetto come sempre, #1.
