I bought this more for my hair than my beard ...which is short ...but apparently too short for this brush to be effective. Which is fine. Because I bought it primarily to tame my awkward stage hair as I grow it out. This is a quality product, fit and finish are nice and the brush has a solid feel to it. The handle is rubberized and provides a comfortable grip. When you plug the brush in the temperature window shows "OFF". Push the power button for a long second until you see the default temperature (360deg) in the window. Push the button to cycle through the temperature settings. Once set, the brush heats fairly quickly. I can't comment on how it works on beards because you need at least a good inch to two inches of growth for it to work; I'm a little shy on that. For my hair, which is about 4-5 inches long, the brush works great at smoothing and taking out some excess curl and wave. As in for beards, you use the brush on dry hair. Before using it on your hair rub in a light dose of argan oil or heat protectant. The brush is just the right size making it easy to hold and maneuver and it's a good travel size as well; it comes with a storage/travel bag. The only glitch I've found is when I grab the handle it is easy to push the temperature button and raise the setting. Overall it's a nice brush that works great, no matter what head hair you use it for.

I have this one, and the larger one. I like them both, but prefer this smaller brush because it is easier to control and maneuver on my beard. I almost always hit my ears with the larger one and burn them for a second. I have never left a mark, or been injured, but the outsides of the larger brush get hot. This brush, the outsides are better guarded, and I can hit my ears, and not feel the heat. I wash and condition my beard in the shower, towel off, apply beard oil, then use this brush, apply beard balm, and comb everything flat. This routine keeps my beard flat to my face, and not a scraggly mess. The comb helps considerably when it come to taming an unruly beard, and keeping it flat. If you're expecting results like a woman would get with a flat iron, you'll be disappointed by every beard straightener brush, they just don't work like that. But if you're just looking to keep your beard neat and flat to your face, you'd be hard pressed to find a better brush. I've contacted the company regarding their product, and they are genuinely nice people who stand by their products, and provide excellent customer service. Each brush also come with a one year warranty. Compared to the $15 brush I bought, this brush is manufactured with such better quality, I highly recommend purchasing one if you're looking into controlling a messy beard.

Good product. Lightweight and gets hot quick. Also cools quick and shuts off by itself if you forget to turn it off.

I used it right away. And it worked great. I was skeptical like others said, but it didn’t disappoint. I would recommend.

Being a customer that has previously used cheaply made more expensive straightening brushes I am thoroughly impressed with this. The last brush I had stopped working so I chose this as a replacement based on the reviews. It did not disappoint at all. It heated up to 360 degrees in less than a minute, and in about three minutes straightened my beard better than any other device I have used. It is easy to operate and feels solid in construction. It comes with a travel bag and is the perfect size for use at home and to travel with. I will highly recommend this to anyone looking to tame their beard.

Not for all types of hair. It will straighten hair, but has left my beard hair dry, and brittle. I have coarse tight curled hair as a black man, sacrificing moisture and softness for straight hair not worth it imo. Just food for though

I have an erratic, patchy, scanty beard. I mean my hairs will often grow in 90 degree angles!!! I've never seen anyone with this "feature". Well, to my surprise, the Aberlite Beard Straightener has straightened by beard better than all the products I've used, including when i combine oil, balm and wax together to keep it straight. I've only just unpacked it and i used it in my office as quickly as possible so i haven't been able to test it much, or on my hair, or see how long it lasts, but i am very pleased. Not a miracle, but the next best thing. P.S. I still can't believe the results sneaking a peak in my selfie cam :) L.E. it works better right after washing my beard. Also it gets better results without heat protection for the beard. Or maybe my heat protection isn't good enough. Does the hair very good also. For my hair it works better with the heat protection.

After doing some research I decided to give the Aberlite Pocket a shot. I have only been using it for a few weeks now but I am pretty happy with it. Researching beard strengthening I learned to use the lowest setting possible to get results. This product only has 5 settings. The lowest 260 does not work for me. I need to use the second setting of 290 in order to straighten my beard. I have not tried using 330 yet, it might work better than the 290 I use. The final two are pretty high at 360 and 400. Pro: I like the size, weight, and the 360 swivel power cord. Reasonably priced as well. Con: For me the design flaw is the location of the power and temperature setting button. It is right where my thumb is while using the brush. I have inadvertently increased the temperature while using and I’m constantly hitting the button which makes me nervous. Maybe future models will relocate the power button and temperature display to the backside of the brush head?

I absolutely love this device. It heats up quick and it's so easy to use on the beard. Perfect for medium to long haired beards. I love not only that it straightens the hair, but how soft beard hair feels after it's straightened even without having any product in. The smaller length in bristles makes it easier to brush through the beard. I've had ones with larger faces and it was just awkward and took a lot longer to get the results I wanted. This is 100% an amazing purchase you won't regret.
