Worked for 8 seconds, went dim, then never worked again. I don't know what I expected.

Had to bite the bullet and purchase even though most of these units had poor reviews mostly in bulb longevity. I have only used it a couple times so far but erased older eproms 27128 in less than 15 min. Will be using more in near future and will update review accordingly. Would prefer a lower ranged timer.

WORKED OFF AND ON BUT NOW QUIT COMPLETELY , KIND OF WEIRD THAT THERE IS A TIMER FOR AN HOUR ON IT WHILE THE STICKER SAYS DONT USE MORE THAN 15 MINUTES CONNECTION TIME.

Spent about 2 days trying to use this device and the chip were never completely erased. Used different time settings and at one point the light was not even strong enough, so not sure if the issue was a defective unit or the lamp is not strong enough.

My project was delayed 4 months, so I didn't need this thing till now. Of course it doesn't work. The half page "manual" says the bulb is replaceable, but no part number or source information. I'm tired of China, inc using the rest of the world for a garbage dump. Don't buy anything from these people.

The build quality is what you would expect from the price, but it does the job of erasing EPROMs. Super basic device, with a mechanical timer and a proper mercury lamp - it's glued in place, but anyone with enough electronics chops to be needing one of these things won't find that a problem when it comes time to replace the lamp. I was able to erase some 2732 and 2764 EPROMs with no fuss and drama.

Another review said "I don't know what I expected". Accurate. I expected this. Annoying as I have roms to write, dammit.
