Gamakatsu hooks are always of the highest quality. Always sharp and always strong. Owner and Gamakatsu are the only hook brands I have found that are worth my day on the water.

The size 10 would work for a bullhead minnow or earthworm. Nice panfish hook. I usually use tru-turn long shank for these baits, but I wanted to try an octopus since they work so well for larger live baits

I’ve used these hooks for years now and they’re the only brand I buy now. I consistently lose less fish than my buddies in the boat and usually hook more too, except maybe for the fisherman I’ve converted. These hooks rarely bend or break, so if you’re fishing in heavy cover expect to have more break offs than when fishing with cheaper hooks.

I took some photos of a Gamakatsu size 6 hook because it is very difficult to buy hooks online. The all-purpose hooks are from Wal-Mart, and they are okay if you are on a budget. You can see from the pictures that the size 6 hook is for smaller fish. The other Gamakatsu hook is an aught 1/0. I included it to show the size difference. I received 50 Gamakatsu size 6 hooks for about $7 on Amazon, which seems cheap for the number of hooks. The Gamakatsu hooks are way better quality than the ones from Wal-Mart.
