I bought these for my mom, who used to love the Nabisco Zwieback toasts that, unfortunately, are no longer made. After trying several alternatives, Brandt Zwieback is the closest thing we've found to the original—both in taste and texture. The shape is different though! These are like little slices of toast. They're crispy, lightly sweet, and make a delicious snack any time of day. We especially enjoy them with a little butter, just like she used to do with the Nabisco ones. They’ve quickly become a staple in our pantry and a comforting treat for my mom. If you’ve been missing those classic toasts, these are definitely worth trying.

One secret to a great cheesecake is a crust that doesn't get soggy. Many have used Zwieback for their cheesecake crusts. I don't know why, but Zwieback quit making their product for the US market a number of years back. This is similar but has no flavor as the Zwieback in the US had. But if you add 1/4 t cinnamon and 1/8 t nutmeg, you get very close to the original flavor of the Zwieback that used to be sold in the US. I make crumbs of the toast, then mix in these two spices before pouring in the butter for the crust. You do have to mix it up thoroughly so the flavors get well distributed and someone doesn't get a strong bite of cinnamon or nutmeg while another person might get no flavor at all. I like having this option after the US version of Zwieback was discontinued. This is very crunchy and fresh and works for my needs.

Nothing like the zwiebacks from year’s ago

The package was open, the UPC codes were made invalid. The biscuits themselves are still in their regular packing sleeve, so they should be o.k. Major point to complain about is that the expiration date is December 2023. This gives me a little bit over a month to enjoy. Not to mention that it was already produced and packaged a year or two ago. Next time I will try a different source to ensure freshness. Hate to be taken advantage of.

Brandt Der Markenzwieback ( Rusk Bread ) - 225 G. This was a fun treat. I was actually hoping to find Nabisco or Gerber brand Zwieback, but apparently they are no longer produced. So, we tried these. Not the same thing, but enjoyable none the less.. These are good on their own, or with some cheesy scrambled eggs on top. Or whatever topping you might like to try. Good for infant/toddler teething also.

We have been looking for these. Cannot find in grocery stores. They are crisp crunchy and lightly sweet and tasty. Well packaged and not broken.

Don't let the description fool you - this is NOT a pack of 10 boxes, as advertised, but one single box. Definitely not worth all that money, even if they are delicious. To make matters worse, since I contacted the seller quite some time ago they have not changed the description. Not cool.

Dieser Zwieback erinnert mich an meine Kindheit. Schon da hat mir unsere Mutter den Zwieback bei Bauchweh gegeben. Und heute ist das noch das gleiche. Bei Bauchschmerzen kann man diesen Zwieback uneingeschränkt essen. Er ist leicht verdaulich und schmeckt sogar noch. Topp Produkt.

Ich mag zwischendurch Zwieback. Der von Brandt ist unübertroffen lecker, kross und hat einen sehr guten Geschmack. Ich kaufe ihn immer wieder sehr gern.
