Can a 12v battery power the light

Dear Yeng, the device requires 120Vac input voltage, if you only have 12v battery to power the light, I think you need add a DC 12V to AC 120V inverter. Thank you!

So far i'm finding it impossible to find led replacement bulbs for my 35 watt halogen gu10 track lighting bulbs. would these work for that purpose?

Yes, they should work... but I used them to replace 50 watt halogen. So in your case, plan on them being 50% brighter
