After a year, still loving it!
I received an old LP as a gift from my sister who assumed I had a turntable due to the fact I am a big stereo nut. Many many years ago I tossed my vinyl collection in favor of CD and never looked back. Anyway, so there I was, holding this album with no way to play it. Amazon to the rescue. I looked at and read reviews of a bunch of turntables at a fairly low price point since vinyl was the LAST thing I wanted to invest in. This one stood out as a mostly positive unit. I ordered it. It arrived and right off the bat I was impressed with the way it looked- not cheap like I expected it too. It does not look out of place with my somewhat expensive system. After nearly a year of owning and using this turntable, I am still pleased and can recommend it. One thing you will like is that it has its own preamp so it can be used with any receiver - even ones without a phono jack. You can simply use any other input available. Just make sure to change setting on back. This should make it an excellent choice for those of you with powered speakers. Couple of things that are odd or annoying. All power buttons are on the back where you can't see them (the platter "on" button is on the main table so don't worry). Bluetooth- why? The whole vinyl thing is a retro concept. I can't imagine why anyone would want to go low-fi and use a Bluetooth connection. Well, I tested it and it works. You will be reminded of it's presence by the flashing blue light everytime you turn it on. No auto return. I know this is clearly stated but I didn't realize I would miss this feature. You will be up and down a lot. Be careful when you first get the unit. There is a piece of tape across the stylus cartridge placed there for protection during shipping. Take it off GENTLY so you don't yank the whole cartridge out like I did. The anti-skate set up is a pain in the a** due to kind of vague instructions. Push thru it. Once done you won't have to it again. Other than the minor things above, this is a really decent turntable. I have had zero problems with it honestly, it sounds quite good! With a modern new LP, it can be quite remarkable. I am ashamed to say that I have started buying LP's again. Kinda fun to go into a used record store and browse knowing I can once again play this format!

Excellent Customer Service and Quality - especially at this price
Pros: While waiting delivery I was building a mini-entertainment center to house the turntable and other electronics. There was some confusion on dimensions stated on sales page so I called Customer Service fully expecting the usual let down. To my amazement they not only answered but the person went out of her way to be helpful and even spoke clearly. What a pleasant surprise in these days of "foreign" tech support. The price was obviously a main attraction as I was looking at units in the under $300 range. The reviews of other units approaching $300 consistently reported "slowing down" of the motor and cheap, lightweight plastic construction. I figured if that's the case then I'm just going with this unit since it actually had less negative reviews. One main attraction was that the unit is 100% manual. As an engineer that means there's a lot less to break or wear out. Also, and most important I believe one of the problems with slow-downs that people experience on other units is all the Automatic features. These features all depend on the same inexpensive 12 Volt motor which now has to power all that other stuff instead of just the turntable (additional stretching of the belt to these other components with more turns and wear points contributes to the slow-downs as well as the power drain). Being fully manual all the power is directed just at the turntable and it feels quite strong when I used my full-width record cleaner while the table turned. Time of course will tell. Another nice feature to help with the manual operation is the tonearm lift lever. This lifts the tonearm and allows you to place the needle exactly where you want it before lowering it, or raising it. This is mandatory for my old shaky hands. Not sure why they don't promote this in their advertising because it makes the whole manual thing workable for people scared of this style. During unpacking the first thing I noticed was how relatively heavy the unit felt. Ordinarily might not have noticed this however the comments in reviews of the units that are 2-3X more expensive is that they feel light and cheap. This "felt" well built. Also although I don't personally care that much about looks, I have to admit the red-wood look and design of the components is most attractive. The dust cover is heavy duty and works well with the two-point hinges. I'm listening to Billy Joel 52nd Street while writing this and it sounds great. So I guess the cartridge is good quality. So far listened to a dozen Very Old records and no skipping or other issues. BTW it has Bluetooth for the speakers, but I'm not using that so no clue if it works. Cons: The Instructions would be my only real complaint. The quick start is a mind boggling collection of illustrations by someone on LSD. Fortunately there's an actual manual as well. This is a bit better but still might be a bit confusing to some people who aren't mechanically inclined or already intimately familiar with turntable functions. In other words, if you're just not capable of putting together things that aren't simple then you're going to struggle. This is Not something you can just take out of the box, plug in, and start using. However keep in mind that if you do run into trouble there's the tech support line, though expect to wait for a call-back the next day (just being realistic).

This is what I was looking for!
EDIT: Three years (Sept 2025) after the purchase.... I'm still very pleased. Since buying this, my Vinyl collection has grown immensely, and I'm using this turntable nearly daily or a few times a week with ease. I've yet to experience any issue with it. In my original review below, I mentioned that I hadn't tried out the Bluetooth capabilities. Though, I have since and while it's a neat feature to have, but unfortunately you lose sound quality, versus hard wired. I prefer to listen through speakers wired to the turntable. It just sounds so much better. One annoyance is once I paired other speakers/devices through Bluetooth, it tends to connect automatically which is great if that's what you're going to use, but as mentioned, I prefer to listen through the speakers hard wired to the turntable. So sometimes turning off the Bluetooth speaker I paired tends to be difficult and if you leave it on, you hear a delay being Bluetooth delays the sound. If all fails, I just turn the Bluetooth speaker volume down to "0", if it connects beforehand. Otherwise, I'm happy with this and hope to have many more years of enjoyment out of it. I just love the simplistic of it all, and I feel I become more immersed with my music when playing vinyls. Read on for what I previously said of the turntable...... I know there are a lot of audiophiles who may be able to find fault with this turntable, but for me, this unit seems to do the job for me at a reasonable price. Previously, I had bought a Victrola (all in one Unit). While it's nice to look at and has everything one would need to play every format, the turntable was not something to be desired. Many of the records I played, would skip or skate across the record. Also, the turntable just didn't sound so great. You heard every crackle and static on the Victrola. On this turntable, there is no skipping, skating and the sound is clean. One of the main reason I bought this player is because I wanted to play all my records without skips and skating. I'm happy to report that doesn't happen with this turntable. The sound is really clean through my old AIWA Q-Sound speakers I bought 30 years ago. This turntable has Bluetooth capabilities which I haven't taken advantage of along with the possibility of recording my Vinyl to digital. Though, I bought this simply to play my records. I have access to all my music digitally, so that feature isn't a big deal for me. Though it's nice to know that I can possibly record future Vinyls I buy that I don't own digitally. It's also nice to know that I can sync headphones to this unit. I can't speak for the easiness of syncing to this turntable, but after reading multiple reviews of this turntable, most seem to have an overwhelming positive experience in syncing to their headphones. I gave this four stars based on my experience in setting this up. To me, it shouldn't be so difficult to setup. That said; I had some issues with the Anti-skate weight and the belt. First and most importantly, the belt gave me some trouble when setting up. It kept slipping off the pully. As you can guess, without the belt, the turntable is quite useless. I spent nearly an hour fighting with the belt while it kept slipping off. I almost gave up and was ready to return the unit. I tried to adjust the pully without much success. Somehow I was able to adjust the belt from slipping off the pully finally. I really have no idea what I did. It just finally stayed on without slipping. Still, it was quite stressful and for someone who prefers an out of the box, quick set up, my experience was not such. Furthermore, the fishing line for the Anti-Skate was a joke. My fingers aren't that huge, but the knot that was already tied, was too small. I couldn't adjust it. I tried to do my own tie but the fishing line was hard to tie around it, so I eventually gave up. It was disappointing because I bought the unit because, as stated earlier, that I had albums that my Victrola would skip and skate through. Fortunately, after playing a number of my Vinyls that skated and skipped on my Victrola, doesn't skip or skate on this unit. So I'm not sure if the Anti-Skate weight is really necessary? When setting it up, there is a counter weight you attach which I may have conveniently set up correctly that does the job in keeping the needle/arm from skating across any records. Again, I am not a Turntable expert, so I can't really speak for the weight's effectiveness. The other cons that can turn a person off is the fact that this doesn't have an automatic stop/start/return feature. For me, it's not a big deal, but I can understand why someone would prefer for it to stop once it got to the end of the record. For me, I usually play my vinyl, expecting to get up to turn the record over. Still, it would be nice for it to just stop spinning when the record is done. As some have expressed already, the wear and tear on the vinyl and the needle due to lacking this feature, could be a concern. Seems weird to me, in this day and age, this isn't something included on such a turntable. Even my "all in one" Victrola stops when the record is done. All in all, I'd say this is a worthy purchase. It's a great price and the sound it produces is awesome. I was avoiding paying hundreds of dollars for a decent Turntable. And as most know, you usually get what you pay for. I believe I found a turntable that will satisfy my vinyl listening needs. I'm happy with the way it sounds and happy that you can easily plug in and play it with headphones or RCA speaker with no additional pre-amp.

Fully Manual yet Very Nice
It was going to be hard to miss on this turntable for the price I got. It was down to $170 so I decided to pull the trigger and what did I find?? A $50 dollar coupon to click on...$120?? Yep, hard to miss. I wanted to replace the Victorola turntable I have been using, it is a great unit but it is not belt drive and the platform is not metal while the stylus is okay but not upgradable. After researching a lot of turntables I got it down to a couple around the $200 price point, budget was a big concern. The 1onOne I bought is quite a bit less due to being fully manual. Some will not like this but it is a cost saver and I used manual turntables growing up in the 60s so it was not a problem. Setup was easy enough but be careful to properly adjust the counter-weight so the records track effectively. The factory setting will be a great start for new or gently used records. Also, just be gentle when you pull the belt onto the rollers, there's a little tool that helps so you don't break the belt. It streams to Bluetooth speakers and headsets easily. I turn on the headset or speaker first then flip the switch on the turntable. It also streams to a little CD player I bought to compliment the turntable. This allows me to use the CD player speakers if I want. As a young Air Force trooper in the mid-70s I bought a Pioneer PLA-45D turntable that I loved. This one reminds me of it as it has a good build quality, nice looking base, and sounds nice when playing. The only thing I can think to emphasize is the manual operation. It will not auto-return or stop on its own, there's a switch to stop and start, there's hands to move the arm pack onto its rest. Otherwise, I'm really happy with this unit and, based on build quality, expect it to last a long time. It comes with a nicer stylus than my Victorola and it can be easily upgraded.

For this price point, it is an exception value
I love the high gloss cherry wood finish. It compliments the cherry color of my cabinets. The Audio Technica 3600L cartridge have good sound quality. A good match to my Yamaha sound bar. Anti-skate causes the tonearm to drift off the record before coming in contact with the record disk. The cause is the queuing mechanism lack sufficient friction to keep the tonearm in position. I added a piece of anti-slip tread tape I got from IKEA to the underside of the tonearm (see picture) to create enough friction to keep the tonearm from skating off the record. Anti slip tape can be found on Amazon. The queuing mechanism is excessively dampened. It takes over 10 seconds for the needle of drop onto the record. I fixed the problem by loosening the clamping screw inside the bottom cover. I got it to around 5 seconds. Loosen the screw about 3/4 ccw turn. The platter rings like a bell without the felt pad. There are other options you can buy, like cork or rubber pads. For a manual turntable, there are not auto return at the end of the play. However, it powers down after 20 minutes of quite. So, if you forget to stop the turntable it will time out and shuts itself off. Saves wear on the stylus. The Bluetooth connectivity allow you to place the turntable anywhere within range. I paired it with my Yamaha sound bar. It also have Phono and Line outputs for direct connection to an amplifier. I added a 3D printed spindle to keep the 45 adapter in place. This is a beautiful manual turntable. For this price point, it is an exception value. I really like it.

Great turntable
The record player is amazing! Connecting the player via bluetooth to my sound bar, the sound is just amazing. For the most part, the record player is very simple to use. However, the instructions could be more specific (namely include words) for the tone arm balancing. I had to go to the manufacturer's YouTube channel to get the tone arm blanced. Otherwise, this record player is just perfect and a great value for the price. The finishing of the player surface is just beautiful. A great blend of classic looks with modern technology.

Excellent after-sales support
The following review is genuine but the product deserves 5 stars because the seller solved the problems I encountered with seriousness and professionalism. If you are thinking of purchasing this product, do it with peace of mind. Pay attention to this personal review because I have decades of experience in the HiFi sector. This review is honest and reflects my personal views on this product. Don't think of buying this turntable without some essential accessories if you want to make a proper turntable setup. First thing, you need to make sure the turntable is level and perfectly horizontal. You will need a precision scale to adjust the weight of the tonearm to the correct value that is written in the technical specifications of the audio cartridge. In this case 3gr is a correct value. The adjustable tonearm weight has a small screw that you will use to lock the weight so that it does not move again. Make this adjustment at several points on the platter where the record rests so you can be sure the adjustment is correct. This is simple but unfortunately for you it is not the only calibration you will have to do. Buy a test disc to check the cartridge/ head alignment. This will also allow you to adjust your skating (skat) correctly. My turntable was totally out of alignment, the headstock was crooked and out of alignment and the correct skat is on the fourth and final mechanical reference and not the third. If you want to do a speed check, it is worth buying an accessory that allows you to do this check. These procedures take time but once done you will not need to repeat them until you change the cartridge. The turntable has a good internal audio amplifier section, it really works well. The always on bluetooth is a serious flaw, it should be possible to turn off the bluetooth circuit but this is not possible. The swing arm is not of good quality and has some uncertainties that affect the ability of the excellent audiotech audio cartridge to keep track of the audio. The belt drive platter system is just about acceptable. The metal platter has mechanical oscillations that shouldn't be there. The turntable is cheap but pleasant to look at and the sound is very balanced and clean but it remains a low-end product. The swing arm lock lever is made of plastic and will break sooner or later, very cheap indeed. At this price I can forgive the low quality of the product which in any case is a product that will give you listening satisfaction but by spending more you will have very different and better products. I am still satisfied with the product which, despite my experience, gave me some problems during the setup calibration phases.

Gorgeous upgrade for entry level price
Got ours earlier this week. I’m 52, and my experience with turntables comes from the true vinyl era. This is a great mid-level turntable. It’s missing some of the high-end stuff to look for from a true vinyl purist’s perspective, but in my opinion it doesn’t need those. PROS: *It’s gorgeous. Love the mahogany look and the contrasting controls. It’s a really cool looking piece, and we love coming into the living room and seeing it there. *Beautiful sound quality. The Audio Technica Stylus is a plus, a good trusted name, and delivers rich sound. *It has a quality feel. The tonal arm could be made of cheap plastic, but it is not. Feels like brushed aluminum. No part of this feels cheap, not even the simple acrylic dust cover. Even though they are just two-position switches for ON/OFF and 45/33 RPM, the two simple control knobs there have a quality satisfying feel in their operation. Even the lift arm releases the tonal arm with a dampened drop, so that when you flip the lever down, the needle lands on the track with a perfect touch every time. (Of course you can use your finger to lift it, but that’s a bad habit) *Simple Operation. It doesn’t feature much, not fully automatic, clearly labeled, so there’s really nothing to be confused about. Perfect for my wife, who loves its uncluttered simplicity. *Bluetooth connectivity. It has RCA jacks for speaker wires, and a grounding post for direct grounding (to eliminate electrical noise inherent to wires). Although I know true pure vinyl sound can only really come from true wired speakers, I love the ability to simply connect to my soundbar wirelessly. I’m not a vinyl purist. To my ear, every vinyl imperfection comes through just fine. *Price. Given what you get, I’d say it’s very reasonable. CONS: *Not fully automatic. That’s not a feature here, so don’t expect the arm to retract and reset itself at the end of a side. I like the simplicity though, so this con actually doesn’t bother me. -When I was a kid, a fully automatic turntable was where it’s at. There were higher end models that automatically started and stopped, self adjusted RPM with a laser sensor, sensed floor vibration and lifted the tonal arm, even automatically skipped track/found next song at the push of a a button. *The dampened arm glitch: I notice when the tonal arm is close to the center of the disc, and you lower the lift arm, the tonal arm likes to slip outward as it lowers. This is important when you are trying to set it right at the start of song on an inside track. It shouldn’t do that. Might be an adjustment to make. I don’t know yet. So far that’s it! The Pros outweigh the Cons! If it suits your style taste, skip cheap entry-level models and BUY THIS ONE. You won’t be disappointed.
