Great home gym for beginers or staying in shape
I'm very satisfied with the BFMG20 Best Fitness home gym. I've been using it for about a month now and I'm very impressed with the quality and function. I'm writing this for a few suggestions to any future buyers or owners.#1 - The handles on the peck fly apparatus ( used for presses ) get in the way when doing peck fly exercises. I tried several positions for the handles but none worked. What I did was unbolt the handles and buy a couple of M10 wing nuts. After presses I just remove the handles for the peck flys and it's much better. It solved the problem completely.#2 - All the weight stack plates are 15 lbs. and it makes it hard to jump 15 lbs. at a time when increasing weight. I purchased two 5 pound weight stack adapter plates and it works great. It costs $37.00 for both adapter plates but it's worth it. The adapter plates fit right on top of the upper 15 lb plate and are designed so they fit between the two guide rods without falling off during your reps. I tried using other small free weights but it didn't work.#3 - When you get your gym be sure and inventory everything before assembly. I spent a lot of wasted time trying to find parts I thought were missing that had been pre installed. Some of the instructions will say to check and see if certain parts have been installed but the problem is you don't see that until you reach that particular step in the instructions so be aware of that when you initially inventory all the parts.#4 - Be sure and check all available prices and consider shipping costs. Some look cheaper but the shipping costs are key to the best value.Bottom line is I'm very happy with the gym and would highly recommend it.Best Fitness BFMG20 Sportsmans Gym

1 star for failure to deliver as PROMISED.
I am giving ONE STAR not for the product itself but for the fact that it was not delivered to me as promised. I ordered this item on May 29, and the scheduled delivery was for June 13 between 6am-9am but it didn't come. I did not go to work so I can make sure that I am home when the carrier (CEVA) delivers my order. My kids and I were very excited because this was supposed to be a surprise gift to my husband for Father's Day. We planned on putting the gym together before he gets home for work. Around 11:30 am, I called the Amazon customer service who was thankfully nice and helpful, to find out what's going on. She was told that the delivery truck left already and the driver forgot to include my order to his delivery schedule, so she asked me if it can be delivered the next day instead. But out of frustration and disappointment - I said NO and I asked her to just cancel my order. After this my sons and I frantically searched the nearby stores for a home gym that we can purchase. We thankfully found one from Sport Authority. Different brand but with the same exact features and it was actually on sale for $399. Because of the delay, we did not finish building the home gym in time to surprise my husband with the complete set up. Thanks for ruining our plan. This is not the first time that this happened to me because I ordered a threadmill for my dad's birthday last February but it was not also not delivered as promised.

Excellent home gym for the money
I have had my BFMG20 for over a year and it's been a blessing for me. I've lost weight and my core strength has improved dramatically. A lot of gym for the money. Now to assembly. I continue to read reviews from folks who complain how bad the instructions are and how difficult it is to assemble. I'm guessing these are people who refuse to follow the instructions item by item and really don't have the patience to put it together. Yes, there are a lot of parts, but it can be assembled with a couple of simple toos in approximately 3-4 hours if you're taking your time, organize the parts and FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS from beginning to end. If you can't do this, then hire someone who can. The parts list was complete and the instructions were excellent. Stop blaming the manufacturer for your lack of patience and common sense.

BFMG20
This home gym for the price is a good buy although it does have some flaws. First all of the reviews about how complicated it is to build I found entertaining but really off the mark. I have put many things together over the past 3 decades, and on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the hardest, I would put this at a 4. It's just A LOT of parts to put together, and if you don't have patience and don't take the time to read the instruction (which are not bad), you will get frustrated. The quality of the gear (again for the money you are paying) is good, not top of the line, but not bad either. The reason I gave it a 3 star is that the attachment to do Pec's doesn't work because there is just not enough resistance until the two arms are about 5 inches apart, so you just can't get any sort of real work out with the attachment. I tried adjusting the cable, adjusting the weights, but in the end the cable routing for this attachment is poorly designed. All of the other attachments, resistance levels, range of motions are fine and do a good job. Had the Pec attachment worked correctly, for the money this would have been a 5 star gym. The whole thing came is one big box for the gym pieces and two additional smaller boxes that had the weights. Arrived by UPS in just a few days after ordering. Easy to move, just open the boxes and take the gym components in their dissembled state to your workout location.
