Pegasus Hobbies 1:144 Scale The Nautilus Submarine Model Kit

This interpretation of Jules Verne's Nautilus is, in my mind, even more believable than the famous Disney Studios version. Credit for this goes to Greg deSantis. The molds are spot-on with incredible attention to detail- every rivet and deck/hull plate is represented. There is an impressive version of the parlor behind the intricately detailed side windows, and fear not! The kit comes with masking for the windows so you can paint the window frames perfectly. There's plenty of room to add LED's for extra realism if you wish. The model also has photo-etch parts in brass for railings, cleats, cables, vents and such to give the ultimate in detail without having to go to "after market" sources. And to top it all off- Scott Willis designed an ultra-realistic base with a giant squid that is actually the sub's stand as it holds it in it's tentacles! Even the Logo plaque is era appropriate. I think Pegasus hit this one out of the ballpark and added an impressive piece to it's already excellent line of models. Even if you don't paint it, you can still achieve a great looking model.

Kit is absolutely amazing. Lots of great details and easy to paint and it comes together nicely. Photoetch was a nice touch. Easy to install lights inside as well. Only gripe is that the window is not clear enough to see inside. Wish they made the window more of a bubble with pure, clear plastic. There is so much cool stuff inside but it is hard to see anything.

This is a great classic theme. Not the easiest build dealing with metal railings but worth it. Lots of ways you can go with colors. Added some LEDs as other builders did. Really grabs your attention when you see it.

Nice model, purchased it after reading an article in an ollf Amazing figure modeller about their build of it, purchased al of the accessories they used also. now I JUST NEED TO FIND THE TIME TO BUILD IT.

Excellent detailed model of the Nautilus and the addition of the Octopus made it a must have for me. The other reviews helped me decide. Especially those with pictures showing the size and level of detail. Reasonable price and quick shipping too. I recommend this seller. Shop around and you will see it is hard to find a decent priced Nautilus this size. I am in the process of creating a Nautilus room made to look Victorian with some Steampunk weapons and decor to add to the Nemo SciFi theme.

Awesome model! The fit and detail is superb, and the squid is really cool. Light this model, put it in an (empty) 10 gallon aquarium tank with some appropriate diorama materials and voila! Instant display and conversation piece. The only drawback (not enough to nick a star off) it the squid is vinyl, and getting it to support the sub is finicky. Don't forget to prime or use vinyl paint on the squid.

Looks as if it will be a great kit to put together and customize with lights and other goodies. I got a paragrafix photo-etch add on to enhance this kit. . . looking forward to my first stab at using that.

Here is another fine model. The detail is remarkable. Using photo etched parts/decals for the first time was a challenge but the effects were awesome. I did not have any difficulty with the tentacles of the octopus but I can make a recommendation to those who found that the sub would not sit properly. Try using a hair dryer to soften those that need reshaping. Very impressive otherwise.

購入から10年を経て完成。銅をベースにスチームパンクなイメージで仕上げました。濃い目のモールド、全体に広がるリベットなど魅力できな造形が簡単確実に組み立てができるようパーツ構成も工夫してあり名作といえるでしょう。台座となるイカの造形も素晴らしい。組み立てはさっさと済ませて塗装を楽しむキットと言えます。１．船内はそのままだと暗くて見えない。電飾するといい。２．エッチングは難しいので落ち着いてゆっくりと。３．スタンドとなるイカの塗装、海底の塗装はこだわろう。４．明暗を付けた塗装がおススメ。

Très belle maquette du Nautilus imaginé par Jules Vernes, très détaillée.Je la realise pour un jeune garçon ,avec un éclairage intérieur avec des LED, parfaitement réussi.
