Teva Hurricane 3 Kids Sport Sandal (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid)

I just love these Teva Hurricane sandals and the variety of colors to choose from. We'd always bought them at a local kids' shoe shop, but the price was great on Amazon and their shoe fit guide is spot on. I've had my daughters in these every summer since the oldest was three (now 9 and 7). The velcro makes them perfect for narrower feet OR wider widths. They are comfy, great for water sports, and stay on well even after the velcro has been latched and unlatched a million times. We pass down the older daughter's pair to the younger just about every year. And who would argue with free shipping and returns?

I was skeptical to order, based on some of the reviews, but these shoes have been amazing for my 10 year old nephew! His longitudinal arch never developed, leaving him with a pes planus and having to use inserts, which is tough for a kid. He said these were the most comfortable shoes ever {his words}. For that, I am grateful! He wore them all day, everyday at summer camp, in the water, out of the water, through every activity they had and absolutely loved them. His foot runs a little wide and these fit him well. I will say he has moved up to a 6.5 in tennis shoes, so I ordered a 7, based on the reviews that they run small; they were a perfect fit. Based on this, I would recommend ordering bigger. The quality of the shoe is wonderful; I would easily compare them to my $100 Chacos. I am very pleased with this shoe!

So I have bought a lot of tevas in my lifetime, and I have to say these are not my favorite. I always get kids sizes because they run so huge, but this pair seems really small for some reason. I put them beside an older pair of the same shoe in a size smaller and they were definitely more narrow and somewhat shorter. The quality of materials isn't as great either, which is sad because tevas have always been the best and these are so so cute and inexpensive! My older ones have lasted about 3 years now but these are already wearing a little bit after a year. I love how cute they are but I think Teva made some changes that aren't for the better. They are also really light and easy to wear and also still very comfortable.

We have been using Teva brand sandals for several years. This pair is much more durable than the last year's series. The sole is made from a more durable plastic that doesn't shred like the previous pairs we bought for our kids. This pair is a bit narrow, and my kids have had some complaints of rubbing on their pinky toes, but other than that they are a great fit.

I have been wearing the Hurricane 2's until they finally wore out. Purchased the Hurricane 3's and the quality of the sandal has taken a nose dive. The sole is flimsy and half the thickness of the 2's. There is no way they could stand up to what I need them for. Why is Teva making lower quality outdoor sandals? Some of us still like rugged outdoor sandals for hiking, etc. BTW, I am able to wear a size 3 in children's Tevas and a 5 in ladies. The ladies sizes seem to be made a little longer and wider than they used to.

Summary: Poor Quality, High Price, Uncomfortable, Not suitable for real outdoor use as previous year models were. I have owned a couple pair of the Hurricane series over the bast 6 years and I love them for the fit and durability. I even hiked rim to rim of the Grand Canyon as well as several other hikes because they are that good. I liked them so much that I have also bought this model for my kids over the past 5 years as they have grown so we have bought, owned and used at least 7 pairs of these. Some have complained about chaffing at the heel from these shoes. Comparing to the originals the neoprene cushion at the back is actually stitched on backwards from how the original was manufactured. Therefor leaving an abrasive material and edge against the heel which may not ever soften. Second, the outsole is glued on to the upper footbed. You can see the glue around the edges (see images) and is not molded together as it appears the original was made. Finally, the outsole is a cheap PVC or non-rubber material that is hard and doesn't grip well. Significantly less quality material than the previous ones. These new ones are not the same. It appears that Teva has licensed the name out to a third party who does cheap manufacturing while keeping the price high. Consequently, these new ones are the most I ever paid for these and quite honestly, the quality is what I would expect to find in discount mass retailers, not in the outdoor industry and certainly not under the Teva name. If you go to the Teva website, no kids footwear is listed so I do think they licensed the kids footwear out to a manufacture who went cheap and kept the prices high. These are going back. Sorry Teva, but we are now going to buy someone else. In the images, the green is the new version the blue is the original. Also not the size from the new to the original is the same (K3)

I just got these 2 days ago for my 8 year old daughter. She has had Teva's or Keen's every year, so we went with both this year. She has been happy since she got them - says they are very comfortable. I can't speak as to how well they are made compared with other years, but these seem fine to me - this was the BEST price I could find online. I ordered these and a pair of Keen's at the same time - these do run small, because the Keens in a 1 were fine for my daughter, but I had to get a size 2 in this shoe. Also, I didn't understand a previous review about Teva not having Kids shoes on their website - I could find a Kids section and this shoe on their site with no problems. Anyway - happy so far, if they start to fall apart, or are uncomfortable, I'll submit an update. BTW - the purple for girls is SOOO cute - I want a pair for myself!

C'est de la mauvaise qualité. Déjà déchirées. Impossible de les réparer. À la poubelle! Plus jamais Teva – une marque excellente il y a quelques années !

Ces chaussures sont parfaites pour faire de la marche lorsqu'il fait chaud. Le look est sympa, elles taillent comme prévu et sont très agréables à porter. Je les recommande vivement. Livraison rapide et emballage soigné.
