Brew Something Tasty
I wasn't sure this was doing anything until I ran out and my espresso tasted flat and boring. My wife even noticed and asked if something was wrong with the coffee (LOL). Now she fully supports my nerdy coffee water. Its so cool being able to chase tasting notes and experience everything that coffee beans have to offer. Try it out for a week, then switch back to your normal coffee water. Sorry.

Actually makes a notable difference
I'm genuinely surprised at the difference in flavor that this made. I use a moccamaster and good beans freshly ground on a Ode grinder...the coffee was already really good. This brought it up to on par with the best cafe drip coffee I've had. I strongly recommend it.

Easy, affordable, effective, and delicious
I love these as a solution to the problem of coffee water. Rather than worry about the ph and mineral balance of your tap, or mess around with expensive spring water to find what you like best, you can just buy dirt cheap distilled water, add a packet, and rest assured that you have a perfect mineral balance for your coffee. The water I make with these results in delicious light roast filter coffee, and Iโm looking forward to trying their other roast profiles. Theyโre also surprisingly inexpensive; 12 gallons of water should last months, and assuming a 12 oz cup of coffee, these only cost about $0.13 per cup, which is a small price to pay for the increase in quality. I have not tried any competing coffee water solutions, of which I know there are a few, but Iโm very happy with these.

Good espresso, clean machine
Easy to use and keeps machine clean. Espresso taste great compared to my purified water. Seems good for the money.

Preventing scale build up
If you're a chemist, there are cheaper ways of accomplishing the same thing. However, if you just want easy and convenient, this is for you. I dump one pouch into a gallon of Crystal Geyser water and the powder is so fine it dissolves immediately. I could taste the difference when using the analogous product for pour over, but with espresso I honestly cannot taste a difference. For me it's all about not creating a ton of scale in an expensive espresso machine. Fingers crossed that it lives up to that promise.

Pricey, convenient to use, machine safe( hopefully)
It is hard to evaluate this product objectively. I use RO water and add this additive . My TDS on the RO water is 16. Considering the very hard tap water we have - itโs great. The hardness in our RO water is 0. When adding the third wave - hardness goes up, obviously, due to the addition of Mg and Ca. and TDS goes to 130-150. The pH of the new solution is 6.7, not ideal but acceptable. The only issue I have is the alkalinity: we shoot towards 40, but with the sticks I use, I canโt tell if itโs 0,40 or anywhere in between. I also noticed that the pH of the solution tends to rise toward 7+ over time... Taste: I think that there are so many variables in each shot I pull : distribution, tamping, room temperature, humidity etc- very difficult to say what is the relative contribution of this additive to my water. I am hoping that the added Mg is helping with the flavour extraction...., and that this solution is safe for my espresso machine ( LMLM). Summary : overpriced for sure, very convenient though, seems safe ( per la Marzocco people) and sometimes when I do a good job, coffee tastes like heaven!๐

The best coffee I can make is with Third Wave Water
Wanting to take my homebrewing to the next level, I started using third wave packets on the suggestion of a local roaster. I was skeptical, and tested it against several other waters. All in all I compared: Third Wave classic profile Purified drinking bottled water Fiji natural spring bottled water Brita filtered water tap water I used a light roasted natural processed Columbian bean with roaster's notes of "raspberry, lime, cherry cordial", or in other words, fruity and acidic. I used the same manual pourover recipe with Kalita Wave for each water type. Overall the Third Wave packet mixed into a gallon of distilled water produced the best results and it really wasn't close. The cup had great vibrancy, acidity, fruitiness, and clarity of flavor. The Brita filtered tap water was the 2nd best, the cup had fair amounts of vibrancy and acidity, but really lacked any clear and distinguished fruity characteristics; it just tasted like a good acidic cup of coffee. In summary, third wave packets have basically ruined all other water for my coffee brewing at home. It's not the most affordable option (about $2.30 per gallon of water) but I mean we're also buying $20-30 twelve ounce bags of beans. Did we really get into specialty coffee to pinch pennies? If you want to take your coffee at home to the next level, and you enjoy dynamic light or medium roasted single origin beans, I'd recommend giving this a try.

Better Tasting Coffee
I'll be honest, I was honestly a little skeptic about a product like Third Wave Water and if it would really make that big of a difference to the taste and clarity of my coffee. Long story short, I now have a subscription for this product through Amazon. The point of Third Wave Water is it is the perfect mix of minerals to add to distilled water for making coffee. Having done a side-by-side comparison of coffee made with filtered water and a brew made with Third Wave Water, the difference is almost night and day. The filtered water coffee wasn't necessarily bad, but there is a clarity in the flavour profile of the coffee made with Third Wave Water that is truly incredible. If you are like me and enjoy buying and brewing coffee from speciality roasters and really want to get everything you can out of the beans, Third Wave Water will not disappoint you. Truly a game changer.

Will definitely continue to buy
Highly recommend to use for your light roasts. I end up splitting the pack into 2 4L jugs. Take 100ml for each big jug, pour 1 pack into that 200ml container - give it a good shake up or mix. Add the 100ml back to each jug. 1/2 strength of this stuff if perfect for me. I thought about Lotus drops or Apax but this is just so much easier.

Been a regular customer since 2018
Saw this product on Shark Tank - the sharks said nobody would ever buy jugs of distilled water and put this powder into it just to put into their coffee machine - they were wrong. I have this product on auto order, I buy gallons of distilled water and have been doing it for years. The coffee is less acidic and less bitter, and far more flavourful. Moreover, whenever someone new comes over they always comment about how the coffee is incredible and ask what coffee I'm buying. They leave with 1 jug of distilled water and 1 sachet of the powder and almost every time, they have also become a regular buyer and user. I should really get a commission by now lol My only gripe is the cost - it is pretty expensive given what you get But otherwise it works as advertised, makes the coffee delicious, and even unknowing guests comment about the coffee until I tell them the secret. If you want to try and make your coffee better - this is the thing.
