Nice bar for the price
I have a pretty extensive home gym and have a variety of bars for Olympic plates from York, Ironmind, and other good manufacturers, but my bar for standard plates was starting to bug me because it has spin lock collars that loosen easily. I thought about getting a new 5' bar for my standard plates that I use for a few accessory lifts that would use regular collars and I started looking on Amazon. Some of the bars had reviews saying that they were a little thin and that spring collars wouldn't fit, but I didn't see anyone say that about this bar, so I bought it. This bar fits my standard plates perfectly. I tried some spring collars, which fit well, along with Ironmind Bulldog II collars, which also fit (the latter are what I use on dumbbells to keep the plates secure). The bar seems solid and weighs 14lbs. I saw some different assumptions about weight, so I got on my digital scale to weight myself, then grabbed the bar and stepped on the scale again. It's technically 13.8lb. by my scale, so I'm just rounding it to 14lb. The odd weight bugs my OCDa bit, so I put 1/2lb. micro plates on it to bring it to an even 15lb., although it honestly doesn't matter. I bought the black bar, just because chrome bars chip a little bit with time and I live in FL, where they'll get some rust (my gym is in my garage). Overall, I'm happy with this bar for what it is. It's inexpensive, but doesn't feel cheap. I didn't buy it for using on major, compound movements, since I have a variety of thick bars and Olympic bars for those, but it's great for accessory lifts. It's 5' long, so it's not going to work in my power rack, which is totally fine. Overall, I'd say you can't beat it for the bare bones $30 price tag.

Great bar for the money
I bought a small set of iron weights to start exercising. I was bothered at how short the bar was that came with the kit I bought. My plates are 1 inch. I didnt know anything when I bought them. I was glad to find this bar and not have to replace my weights. Im definitely not looking to lift 400 pounds. This bar is well made. Reasonably priced. Texture and grip feel great. Chrome finish is nice. No assembly required.

Great little barbell
I'm so glad I ordered this. I've been using a similar barbell that requires a screw-on clamps after you add the weight plates and it's been a big pain in the butt to adjust weight. The area to add on the weight plates is nice and smooth and the barbell seems to be good quality. I won't be needing to pack on 100s of lbs on there, but it seems sturdy enough to handle the weight.

Good Bar at a Good Price
I have had this bar for 4 months and it has worked well for me. I have used it with loads of up to 250 lbs and there have not been any significant problems. One benefit of this bar is that it is a single piece, and not screwed or pinned together like some other options. This makes the bar sturdier and, while it does flex under heavier loads, it is more stable than a pinned bar. The bar has some very aggressive knurling, which can be a little uncomfortable when gripping, but it allows you to really hold onto the bar when doing pulling movements like deadlifts or rows. The only negative I have is that after about 4 months of use the bar is starting to get a little rust where the collars are scratching the ends of the bar. Overall, I really like this bar and it is a great product for the price.

Perfect for home gym!!
I have been using this Barbell for few months now and it's flawless. The reason I bought this bar is because in one of the reviewer wrote that he was able to put like 400lbs in this bar and still there was no bending of any kind. Even though I will not be putting that much weight of this bar, I wanted something that atleast could handle about 300lbs. I have another Olympic set weights and barbell that I use for bench and squats, and also have standard adjustable dumbbells. I had bunch of standard plates lying around so thought about getting a standard barbell just for deadlifts. It nice that the bar itself is 20lbs. I had like 10 plates of standard 10lbs each lying around. Added 4 plates of 25lbs and it was perfect to get started with this set (plus the weight of the bar :) ) My bench and squat rack is combined, so now I dont have to move the Olympic bar everytime I have to do deadlifts. Now I have 120lbs permanent on this standard bar for warm up start and add the weights to it. It does not feel or work any different from my Olympic 45lb bar. Im happy to be using this! Okay I lied about having 120lbs permanent on this bar. I do here and there take the weights off of it and the reason for it is very convincing. So sometimes my sister wants to workout and asks me what she should do. Before I had this bar, she was not allowed to touch any of my weights because the Olympic bar (45lbs) without any weights is too heavy for her to do anything. Now that this bar is only 20lbs she can use it!!

Great for what it is.
This barbell is great for what it is. It's very cheap, which is nice. I got the 6 foot variant so its pretty space efficient as well. It's held up really well despite my frequently going higher than its "maximum weight capacity" The highest ive gone with it I think is 321 lbs. (the bar itself is 16 lbs) and while i did notice a little flex the first time I did that, it hasnt permanently bent, or snapped or anything. If I could go back in time however. I would definitely recommend skipping a 1" bar and just going into 2" olympic bars. I was trying to be as cheap and frugal as I could, but in the long run I've really just cost myself money by not investing in better more durable equipment with higher weight capacities from the start. So if you take training seriously, and you want to get stronger and lift more weights than this bar is rated for, do yourself a favor and just get a heavier duty bar. Still, all that said, Its served me well, and continues to serve me well, while I still put off getting a heavier bar, since it hasnt broken yet. Edit: I've now put 350 lbs on it multiple times (356lbs if you count the bar itself) , and its still going strong, though it does flex at that much weight. Worth noting that the amazon page now seems to say this is a threaded bar? Mine is the RB-72, non threaded version. Currently looking for a better 1" diameter bar so I dont have to buy all new weights, because I can deadlift more weight than i currently own. I could get some more heavier 1 inch plates, but Im still worried about going too far over the weight capacity and maybe having it snap or something. Can't find its max PSI rating or anything anywhere which is frustrating. Edit: Iโve now placed 395lbs on this (411lbs including the bar itself) and deadlifted at that weight without it breaking multiple times. I did finally bite the bullet and get myself an olympic barbell and weights to replace it. But for a cheap bar thats rated for 250lbs max, this barbell has really gone above and beyond what was promised.

Really small
Not quite what I thought it would be. Very small and not very heavy like most barbells.

Satisfied, Perfect For Squat Rack
The grip width is just wide enough for my Squat Rack. The grip dose not cut up or shred your palms. When it arrived, there was no bends or wrapped sections. I had to buy claps separate, but it's all Good. I've been benching and squating 200LBS, and the bar has had very little to no flex. It's exactly the size I needed. And it works perfectly. Good quality for its price
