Perfect general purpose pliers
Robogrips were once a widely available and popular tool, when they were sold at Sears & Roebuck. Now they appear to be a very niche item with low availability. That's fine, but I believe more people can really benefit from a pair in their toolbox. Laminated steel construction, great torquey and ergonomic handles and auto adjustment combined with excellent construction and a simple design make for a tool that will last a lifetime with normal use. I keep one in every kit.

I use these to open dried oil paint tubes...helps my arthritis
I just took up painting again and got out my 30 year old oil paints. If I could get the caps off, the paint was still good, but almost all needed pliers to open. Using regular pliers on the tubes, the tubes usually twisted and often broke. My sister, who has neuropathy, told me about these pliers. I was skeptical, but gave them a try. They are great! I have some arthritis in my hands so having a less painful way to open small things is wonderful. They now sit on my art table and I use them almost every time I paint. My guess is that these would be great for home projects because they wouldn't slip like other pliers. They grip better.

Essential for my home tool box
I grew up with a pair of Craftsman robo grip pliers but they don't make them anymore (at least anywhere I could find them). These are a great alternative. Grip is solid and firm. Must have for day-to-day fixit projects and furniture assembly.

These are AWESOME!
These are the best pliers I have ever owned. I had the large size and loved them for years, until I lost them. I replaced them with these, in the smaller size, and while the small ones work just as well, I think the larger size is more versatile and will probably get that size. I’d just skip the small if I were you, unless you really only use it for smaller stuff. Either way, it has an amazingly secure grip when you squeeze it, and they’re heavy and well constructed.

People will joke on this product, but it's great for certain uses!
My dad had one of these when I was growing up as a kid, and I remember how neat and easy it was to use around the house. Now that I'm a grown up now, and using "real" tools, I remembered this tool and thought I'd buy it again just to see how well it holds up doing actual garage work. Once I received it and used it here and there, I was somehow both disappointed, but also had my nostalgia satisfied at the same time. It worked the same way it did when I was younger, but now that I was using it for more than kids toys and household tasks, it definitely was glaringly obvious how it's not meant for real garage work. Real use of these will strip and round bolts, and won't hold much torque vs real pliers. However, that's not to say it's a joke or not useful at all! There are actually plenty reasons to keep this close and use it often. It's less of a set of pliers and more of a "holder". When you need to hold a backing nut, or grip something as a clamp without having to open and close your hands often, this thing is super quick and easy to use. There are actually lots of instances in which you need a "quick" grip on something vs a high torque situation, so in those cases, you'll find these pretty handy, not to mention for quick household tasks that take less torque to complete. Keep these use cases in mind and you'll find yourself with a convenient pair of pliers.

Have had a big one for 20 years and it is my go to pliers. Saw the little one and had to get it.
I've had a big one for 20 years or more and used it a lot and it still works perfectly. The beauty of these is that they adjust themselves. Pick it up. The jaws are wide open. Place it and squeeze. That's it. As good as channel adjustables and way faster. I saw the little one and had to get it and am well pleased with it. These things are sturdy and feel it in my hand. Gripped hard the handles flex a bit but not enough to amount to anything. They are quick draw general purpose tools. I love them.

Mini pince
