For Our Rehabilitating Dog the Food is the Best
Our adopted Rhodesian Ridgeback mix had been nearly starved to death and if that wasn’t enough she was shot in the rear end. Miraculously, the bullet didn’t hit bone or organs but did nerve damage and she has drop foot. I said all that to say she loves her Honest Kitchen dry food even above her canned food! The quality is good, especially because it’s human grade and smells good. I may not always be able to fed just this to her because of the expense but I will use it as a food topper once she’s rehabilitated. The pictures show her when she was brought to us and one week later.

Finally Found a Dry Food My Sensitive Frenchie Can Eat
After a long journey trying to find the right food for my French bulldog with a very sensitive stomach, this food has been a game changer. She also has sensitivities to chicken and turkey, which made finding a suitable food even more challenging. The only food she ever truly did well on before was Ollie’s beef fresh food, but it became extremely expensive long term. I did a lot of research looking for the closest, highest-quality alternative, and The Honest Kitchen Human Grade Whole Food Clusters (Grain Free Beef) was the best option I found. I’m happy to say it has exceeded my expectations. Her stools are consistently firm, she has had zero digestive issues, and she’s clearly thriving on it. For extra digestion support, I pour hot water over the food and let it soak for 15 minutes, then mash it up before serving, which she loves and does great with. It gives me peace of mind knowing she’s eating human-grade ingredients without the massive cost of fresh food subscriptions. If your dog has a sensitive stomach, poultry sensitivities, and has done well on fresh food in the past, this is absolutely worth trying. Highly recommend!

Great food!
This is awesome dog food. My dogs whoof it down. They love it! It has a pleasant smell too. Not stinky like other brands that are not human-grade.

My dog loves this, but his breath doesn't.
My dog loves this, but his breath smells SO BAD after eating it. It also gets stuck on his teeth every time he eats it so it's a struggle after every time he has it. I was so excited thinking this would be his go-to food but between his stinky breath and how he struggles to not get it stuck in his teeth, it's a hard pass. The kibble pieces are a good size for a 12-pound wiener dog.

I’m a picky mom - Premium Products
I compared this dog food to 353 others, and Honest Kitchen clearly ranks among the very best. Their dedication to high‑quality ingredients and careful processing truly sets them apart. That commitment matters deeply to me after caring for my late pup, Copper, who struggled with food allergies and later developed pancreatic cancer (insulinoma), ultimately losing his battle earlier this year. My one‑year‑old rescue German Shepherd mix, Maisie, absolutely loves the grain‑free dry food, and it’s been gentle on her tummy. We first tried Open Farm (Raw Mix) and appreciated their transparency, but it didn’t work for her digestion. One important note: when ordering from Amazon, the bags often arrived so roughly handled that several full cups had crumbled into granules at the bottom — frustrating and wasteful. Ordering directly from Honest Kitchen solved this problem completely, with the food arriving intact every time. Excellent food, excellent brand — highly recommend for pups with sensitive tummies and food allergies.

Prisyy Chihuahua approved
After spending $40 every two weeks for Dr Marty's (which was awesome just too expensive), and she loves this brand. It lasts me a month and one week for a Chihuahua at a 1/4 c a day diet. Smells human good, it must taste good or shed turn her snobby little nose at it lol. It is big for her but they break and crumble very easily and I soak some in bone broth for her special treats. Large bag for the money.

Bad for allergies
Ive been feeding my boys this for about 3 weeks. I am honestly really disappointed because I felt relieved when I had found this dog food. My older girl was diagnosed with cancer in September and since then, i have done a lot of research on kibble and dog food ingredients. I worked as a vet tech for a few years prior to this and had been feeding all my dogs the vet approved prescription/ "high end" kibble. After her diagnosis i put her on a very specific cancer diet from Dr. Harvey's dehydrated, mcdowells herbs, home cooked protein, and all the elixers and mushroom powders i could find. I have 2 younger boys who are healthy but wanted to ween them off kibble as well. Cooking home meals and buying high end organic meat for all 3 of them just proved to be unsustainable and overwhelming, i wanted to find a better solution. My middle child, ziggy is a pittie with chicken and grain allergies and my youngest, monty is a frenchie mutt with no allergies (that i knew of). Ziggy was eating purina brand sensitive skin and stomach. Even though his skin and coat and overall health seemed very good, I really wanted to find more holistic/natural/balanced food for them. I thought this was my solution, but ziggy's allergies have gotten worse than I have ever seen. He is getting sores around his mouth and hives on his tummy. My first thought was that he might also be allergic to beef as a protein. (Which still might be true) However, monty who has never had allergies has become increasingly itchy and i noticed cracked and yeasty sores around his mouth as well! I'm going to get an allergy panel done but I do have to say that I most likely won't continue to buy this food. Based off how they both reacted, i am concerned. It was a very gradual ween from their old food and I also added anything new into their diets individually so I could take note of what caused any changes or problems. If I continue using honest kitchen I will most likely switch to the turkey or try the fish dehydrated and see how they react to that. But I'm skeptical off the whole industry now.

My dog loves it. I have never fed my dogs kibble because it's just junk but I feel assured that these human grade balanced food clusters are good for him including keeping his teeth clean. When I smell his breath right after he eats, it smells like pot roast. Also, I don't have to feed him as much. It goes a long way.
