Great product works great cost effective but I don't like cold brew!
It's a great product. Simple well built easy to use. I've only used it twice. First I tasted the coffe at different times. four hours, 6, 8, 12, 24. To see the difference that made. I didn't like any of it. In fact I couldn't drink it and threw it all out. Not the coffee makers fault. I just don't like cold brew. It even makes me feel sick. I drink decaf for the flavor of it. I like a deep rich coffe flavor. I like a medium rroast sweet coffe bean espresso. Cold bew just doesn't taste anything like that. Itt has its own taste wich is very mild and smooth or flavorless depending on your attitude. But it does extract more caffeine from the beans even my decaf beans made coffee to caffeinated for me. It also extracted some other stuff from the beans my espresso maker doesn't having a totally different effect on that Ididn't like. I recommend trying cold brew before getting into making it yourself but my coffee shop doesn't have decaf cold brew so I had to buy this to see for myself. If you like cold brew this is a great way to go. Aside from changing the time of the brew you can pla around with adding paper filters inside the metal filter or filtering the the coffee after its downe but I didn't mind the slight sludge on the bottom of my coffee cup. So the machine is simple easy to use works well easy to clean. Great if you like cold brew buts a completely different type of coffee.

Simple way to make cold brew at home!
Perfect, easy way to make cold brew at home! I have two jars to keep a steady supply of cold brew in the fridge in my busy household. About 10 generous scoops of coarse ground coffee (and about 12 hours in the fridge) will yield a pitcher of cold brew that is ready to use without diluting. Saves us a ton of money. And yes, I have used the more complicated methods/machines. This one is easier and far less fussy.

Terrific cold brew coffee system--easy and tastes great!
This cold brew system is terrific---easy to use and produces wonderful tasting cold iced brewed coffee. I haven't had any grounds in my coffee yet. Each brew lasts me about 4 days (I drink about 2 cups a day), although it can last in the fridge up to two weeks. I've loved cold brew iced coffee for several years and wanted to make my own for convenience and to save money. I finally chose this. Here's how it works: First, be sure to use coarse ground coffee. Just put the coffee grounds in the very fine filter and pour water (not hot water) into the filter slowly so it flows into the coffee grounds in the filter and then into the large ball jar. Put the lid on and shake the jar to wet the grounds and then top it off to whatever number of cups you want. There are ridges on the ball jar indicating how many cups will be made. Then screw on the lid and put in the fridge to brew. Or leave on the counter to brew. I shake it again a couple of times during the "wait-time" and then, when 24 hours is up, I take out the jar, remove the filter and voila! Smooth cold brewed iced coffee. I add milk and sometimes ice. It comes with a great instruction booklet with directions for making cold brew coffee and iced tea and other beverages. I highly recommend this system. It works. The filter is superfine and the jar is sturdy. You don't worry about breakage. The parts are really easy to clean. I'm not sure I've ever written a review before for Amazon, but I've been ecstatic about this cold brew system and I want people to know about it. Economical, too!

Easy to use, great iced coffee
This works well and is very easy to use. We've made many batches of iced coffee already and it's delicious. Much easier than a previous iced coffee maker. My only complaint is that there were no instructions describing how much ground coffee to put in. So I winged it and it turned out fine. But it would be good to have a basic ratio for grounds to water somewhere in the packaging.

Great Quality Filter and Cap, Cold Brew Coffee and Tea, Simple and Effective!
Great simple, economical process for brewing Cold Brew Coffee and Tea, the filter is very nice quality and is durable. The Ball Jar is "Ball" and not some cheap imitiation. Included lid with seal is a nice touch and does not leak, but takes some care in locking it down since the seal grips the filter and jar and adds some load against the threads. Not as easy vs. the regular Ball lids with bands which are a breeze to install. I initially had one of these and was using it to Cold Brew Coffee and Tea at diffferent times, due to demand and not wanting to cross or contaminate the flavor, I recently picked up another and will use one for Tea and the other for Coffee. Even with a coarse grind, I still noticed trapped grinds stuck in the filter, could not get them out perhaps if placed in the dishwasher but I have not tried this method yet? I still get some sediment which I read is common with this method, no big deal as it stay's on the bottom of the jar when pouring. The directions are straight forward but I still cannot match the flavor of Peet's Baridi Cold Brew which is bold and smooth, which I like. Peet's sells the Baridi Blend Beans specially for Cold Brewing, will give that a try to see if I can match the bottled version. For tea, I use 4 to 5 tablespoons of loose leaf tea and brew in the fridge per the directions, get great results and bought additional Ball jars or various sizes to store up a week's worth of cold brew tea and/or coffee for a week. I looked into Cold Brew due to my sometimes sensitive stomach, gastritis issues that pop up occasionally when I drink too much of that highly acidic coffee at work and reading how the reduction in acid % of cold brew, lookedl like a win win for me and so far it has helped. Looked at some of the drip systems and other higher cost Cold Brew methods, but after some research I narrowed it down to a simple filter mesh in a ball jar and this was it.

Great product. Great Coffee.
I just received this product a few weeks ago, but I have already done a few brews on it, and I must say it works exactly as intended. The stainless steel filter is sturdy and easily washable. I have done both brews in the refrigerator over 24 hours. I like to use Trader Joe's beans at the most coarse level that TJ's machines will allow. When brewing I tried to shake it throughout the process to make sure the intensity is even throughout. When it hits the 24 hour mark, simply pull out the filter, wring it out a little, then boom, DRINK! Ok maybe night exactly right then. The coffee for me was seemingly at a concentrate level. A little water and then it should be good to go. I get about 6-7 total cups using 1.5 cups of grinds.. I like to normally drink 2-3 cups worth a day of coffee, so with the watering down, this will last a few days, 2-3 days (depending on if its Monday). I purchased a second 2-qt mason jar online and will use it to brew while the other gets finished off. I am giving it 4-stars because I wish there was better instructions, guidance, or a tool to really help with the mixing of the grinds in the filter. As you fill up it tells you to shake several times through the process. Doing this, I still find the beans push towards the top above the water level. I have had to use a spoon and a butter knife to mix and then push down the beans below the water level so that they are fully engulfed in water. I am still working on this so I will update if anything changes. Overall, great product. Would highly recommend this simply yet great idea. Perfect if you want to have several jars full of cold brew or infused drinks. I may try this will not coffee items and see what happens...

Sturdy, simple steps and does the job
I had to replace my Primula cold brew set because the plastic cover broke down (took it out of storage from my cellar for the summer season and cover came apart in pieces, had it about 5 yrs). I began my research and at first was looking for a fancy machine that would make the cold brew quicker. The reviews for those machines are hit or miss. I decided to keep looking because I didnโt want to spend the money on so-so results, nor did I want to have to bother with a return. I did like the Primula system and saw they had newer options but one upgrade I hoped for was a bit more of a yield so a batch would last my work week. My search continued and I decided to look at the highest reviews with a good # as well. I looked on Google but settles at Amazon for the most options. Came across this one, checked out the videos (well done for the lost part) and the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. Price was good, process simple and looked like the yield was decent, at least would get me through the week. Iโve used it through the summer and will be putting it away now until about next Memorial Day ( The verdicts is that it checks off all my boxes- - Simple to use and clean. Put all pieces in the dishwasher 1/wk. - After you account for the displaced liquid due to the filter being removed Iโd say I got 4-5 cups or 32-40 oz - Price was good and comparable to others that were more complicated or fragile. - All pieces are well made, quite sturdy. I wished the handle didnโt stick out so far but because the glass container is thick and heavy (which I like) you need that leverage to hold it securely. Tip: It takes a while to fill it with water through the strainer w/the coffee, so I fill the container about 1/2 way with water and then do the rest through the strainer. I always let it brew for 24 hrs and thereโs no taste difference at all. -

So easy to use!
I tried my first cup of cold brew iced coffee about 4 years ago (in Seattle, no less!) and was very impressed with the smooth, flavorful coffee. At that time my coffee drinks were always overloaded with sweetners and milk, all to camouflage the acidic and "bitter" coffee it was paired with. Well cold brew coffee eliminates the need for all that! When I got home I researched the cold brew process and found so many complicated and convoluted methods that I was immediately intimidated from trying it. Fast forward to this year, when all the trendy coffee shops (including some major corporate coffee retailers) have finally jumped on the bandwagon of cold brew iced coffee. I was elated--I tried "their" cold brew and it's not bad. Not the same smooth, acid-free, flavorful coffee I had those 4 years ago, but it would do. I decided to try and make my own cold brew again, which led me here. Since becoming so popular, there are now several cold brew systems on the market! I decided to try this one, because of the simplicity and straightforward design. I've just poured my first batch of cold brew from this system, and I couldn't be happier! Not only is it easy to use, but the result is great! I did everything according to the directions, and besides my own clumsiness (spilled coffee grounds as I poured them into the filter) everything came out according to plan. Like other reviewers stated, I did find a thick coffee sediment at the bottom of the jar, however, it didn't make its way to the pitcher I transferred the coffee to when it was finished steeping. Here is how I finished off the process: Once the coffee was ready (I steeped it for 24 hours at room temperature, then put it in the fridge when I went to bed so it would be cold in the morning) I placed the mason jar in the sink and gently unscrewed the lid. Then I slowly lifted the metal filter out of the jar and held it over the opening while some last bits of coffee dropped from the filter. I gave it a few taps on the rim of the jar to help it along. Once the dripping stopped, I pulled the jar out of the sink, and proceeded to rinse out the filter by turning it upside down and running the tap over the filter, allowing the coffee grounds to go down the drain. It could not have been easier! There was no mess, and the filter came clean very easily. I then transferred the coffee from the mason jar to a tall 64 oz pitcher. I gently and slowly poured the coffee from the jar to the pitcher and when it got to the end, the brown sediment was left behind at the bottom of the mason jar, which I promptly rinsed out and prepped for another batch of cold brew! Thank you!!!

Fantastic
Excellent item, I use this for cold brew and swap out the stainless steel lid for the lid with a handle (purchased separately) when it's ready to be served up.

Works well
If you aren't in a rush for a cold brew, this is an excellent option. I usually give it 48 hours before the coffee is strong enough. Extra large well made glass container. I like that the lid has a sturdy handle. If I had one complaint it would be that the flip top on the lid doesn't snap shut to prevent spills.

Love it
Bought this for work, very happy with it. Filter mesh is top quality, everything is easy to clean as well. Make sure you get a coarse ground coffee to work the best. I have since bought another for home.

Easy to use cold brew- brewer
Very easy to use, good quality materials like thick glass and a tight seal. I stored it on its side in the fridge to test the seal for camping and it held up. Makes delicious cold brew. Make sure to use coarse grind or you may end up with some very very fine coffee grounds in your coffee. I find 24 hrs makes the perfect brew. I would buy again.

You need this in your life if you are a cold brew lover!
I am absolutely thrilled with my Cold Brew Coffee Maker! This Mason Jar Pitcher has become an essential part of my morning routine. The design is not only charming with its classic Mason jar aesthetic but also highly functional. The durable glass construction ensures that my cold brew stays fresh and delicious for days. What's great is the simplicity of the brewing process - just add coffee grounds and water, let it steep overnight, and wake up to a smooth and flavorful cold brew coffee. The stainless steel filter is a game-changer, making cleanup a breeze and eliminating the need for disposable filters. Plus, the pitcher is easy to store in the fridge and pours without any drips or spills. It's convenient, efficient, and produces the perfect cup of cold brew every time. Highly recommend!
