Quality, fun, smart purchase
My 6-year-old loves this scooter. It did have a little bit of a learning curve as the back wheel is a castor, but it wasn't long before she was gliding along just as she had on her old scooter with two stationary wheels. I love that this is very adjustable and can grow with her. I have a feeling it will be in use for many many years. In a few years she will be able to do some tricks on it. And then her two little brothers can grow into it. VERY worthwhile purchase.

Great product, but not for a beginner.
Great product, but not for a beginner. Does not have as much control as reg scooters, but it was designed that way—keep that in mind. Let’s you do cool tricks that aren’t possible on reg scooters. Does not have breaks, and is a bit tricky to keep it going straight if you’re a beginner. Folds easily for storage or travel. Great quality, and cool sleek look. My daughters 8 & 10 love these but they are pro’s on wheels of all sorts.

Great Scooter for Boys & Girls
My 2 sons, ages 12 and 10 years old, love this scooter! It has a wider platform to stand on and it allows the back wheels to swivel and move--really fun for them! It is easy for both of them to adjust the height and can handle sidewalks and even the street pretty well. It can fold in your car for easy transport too. I would caution getting this scooter for younger boys and girls, although their 8 year old sister can handle riding it like a regular scooter. She does not know how to swivel it and I think she would fall!

Fun Razor Scooter
I got this scooter for my 11-year-old son. As other reviews have stated, it was so quick to put together. It was a simple as 1) open the box, 2) remove the scooter, and 3) snap into place. I never had to pick up a single tool. You have to admit that is pretty awesome all by itself. Here is what I love about it. - That caster wheel takes some getting used to but once you get the hang of this can be a fun little ride. - The handle bars are nice and soft. They provide a nice grip. - It can clearly take some abuse. Well, you know it can handle what boys do to toys! - The prices is very nice. I considered other options but wanted something a bit different compared to the typical scooter. - It can be folded up and put away quickly! Also, convenient if you plan to take this on a trip. Here are a few thinks that I hate. - The grip tape was great at first but after a few weeks of use, it could use some replacing. Or perhaps non-muddy boy shoes on it? I am not sure. - It is meant for appropriate ages. I mean if your child is wicked awesome at these products proceed with caution. - It can be a bit scary at times. It does lack a break and we have had many wipe outs. But nothing serious! I am very pleased with my purchase. My son loves my purchase and everyone is happy!

Razor Siege Caster Scooter a Hit with 11 year old Son!
My Son has had a "normal" razor scooter for 2 years, which he rides ALL THE TIME! It is amazing that it is still in one piece. He really wanted this one, so I purchased it for his birthday on June 10th. He LOVES all the things it does that the other one doesn't. It is very durable (so far) and he beats it up pretty good. He likes scooters because of the stability of the handles. He doesn't ride skateboards that much, due to confidence. I would highly recommend this scooter to any kid who is ready to move up from a normal scooter. It took him only a little bit to get used to the feel of it and he LOVES it!!!

Fun scooter for the kids.
Back wheel locks up sometimes. Other then that kids love it. Rides pretty smooth. Takes some time to get use to back wheel turning

Fun and safer than I had thought.
My son is a rough-and-tumble 7 year old kid. He's taken his share of spills, so I wasn't overly concerned with this purchase. Nonetheless, I was "a little" worried about the stability of this riding platform. Turns out that my fears were not warranted. The rear caster wheel is not mounted directly to the Razor. Instead, the designers ingeniously offset the the wheel mounting so that it is stable going in the forward direction. It takes a fair amount of effort, while simultaneously shifting one's weight on the platform, to get the "fishtailing" effect. His Razor Siege is so much fun that he'd rather scoot around the immediate neighborhood than use his bike. So far, the only negative thing that I have to report is the lack of a brake. Admittedly, the brake on his old Razor was of marginal value in an emergency. Nevertheless, my son used it as a convenient way of coming to a halt at low speeds. With the Siege, he now has to stop the old-fashioned way - gravity and footdragging. Not a dealbuster and it certainly doesn't diminish my son's enthusiasm, but thought I'd mention it. EDIT: 3-1/2 years later and my son is still playing with it. Not as much, but it is still in fair shape (less dings and scratches). It's no longer in pristine condition, but it is still working just as well as it did on day one!

The most popular scooter around
We bought this for our 6 (almost 7) year-old son for Christmas. All 3 of our boys have the traditional razor scooters, but the 6 year-old's had recently been backed over by our car, and wasn't quite the same after that. Now all 3 boys fight over who gets to ride the caster scooter. Even our 3 year old loves it (for a long time he rode it just like a normal scooter, but now he turns it sideways too). It can be a little less stable, but that seems to be more at low speed when the kids are just trying to balance at almost a stand-still. I weigh a little over 200 pounds myself, and I was able to hop right on it and ride around without feeling out of control. Bottom line is that if you can ride a classic style scooter, then you can ride this which is more fun, just as fast, and seems very well built. Great product.

Cool scooter.
It looks like a good quality scooter. My son and his friends love it. Max load is 63 kg, so I tried it just a couple of times :-), they need to make something for parents.

Razor Caster Scooter
I have just bought this scooter for my six year old daughter, it is the second one of these i have purchased. I bought one two years ago for my then 8 year old son. As soon as my daughter was old enough, she had to have one as the riding experience is unique and is alot of fun. It is unlike a regular scooter in that the back wheel is on a caster and so it spins up to 360 degrees, like a skateboard wheel. It offers more movement and freedom to a regular scooter, however, without some of the obvious dangers of a skateboard. The scooter is very simple to use and adjust and extremely high quality. After two and a half years, my son's scooter has very little sigh of wear and tear and no rust. Highly recommend for 6-7 year olds and upwards. I would suggest knee-pads just to begin with until the child is used to the different movement it offers
