Air circulation fans are the greatest discovery I've made in my stay in this room
Air circulation fans are the greatest discovery I've made in my stay in this room. 2 Fans in my small room I have on full blast for months have been unable to really cool down the room, and leaving me sick from the constant air blowing on my face needing to have it on at nighttime from excessive heat, and living in California is no joke, year round heat even now in the middle of the winter. So I started to look more into getting a new type of fan, at first thinking i possible needed a new tower fan to blow more air into my room, but I figured with 2 fans that I needed to do more research into it. I then started to read on the benefits on air circulation fans in opposition to regular tower type fans. Instead of the air blowing in one concurrent direction directly from a source, the air travels around the room, making it so you can position the fan from any part of the room, blow it onto a wall and cool off a decent sizable room. So I looked into it and then decided to get this fan from its decent size and price value in comparison to other fansThis fan is stationary, you basically place it anywhere in a room you need to be cooled off, and position it according to your particular needs. If you blow it onto a wall, it will cool off the room by circulating around the wall where the heat is coming from, and move the air around the room. If its winter time, you can position it near the wall where the source of heat is coming from to produce a better air temperature for the room in general. It has 3 settings for speeds, a setting to use rotary outer blades on the front of the fan that will increase the size of space it can cover, a setting to make it simulate a breeze, and a remote control on top of it for the lazy couch potatoes like myself, all for a solid price of $30 dollars. The greatest part about this fan for myself is the fact that I don't have to have it directly blowing on top of me, which allows me to completely cool off my room without getting morning dry throat from air blowing on my face all day. And the portability provided by the handle allows me to carry and travel with this fan to places if i ever feel the need. For so far having it in my room to provide a refreshingly cool atmosphere I can't recommend it enough.

The missing dimensions
When I researched this fan the only dimensions I could find were "12 inches.". So when the box arrived I thought at first that the wrong item was shipped because the box is huge.12 inches pertains to the fan blade. The fan itself measures 16.3/4" wide and 17 3/4" tall. It has a narrow depth of only 5 1/2". This enables it to sit on the window sill rather nicely. As a floor fan it might get knocked over more easily because of its narrow footprint. So it all depends what you want it for.I needed to replace an aging smalll box fan and it had to fit on the sill of the kitchen window which has two side panels that crank open. When I saw how large this fan is I swallowed at first but then gave it a try. I had to shim it due to the crank. After that it FIT!!!Next came the question as to loudness and any rattles. On Low the fan is barely heard but still draws an impressive amount of air. On High it is still much quieter than a Honeywell tabletop fan which is noisy as heck and does nothing in terms of air movement. The only thing I wish this fan had is a Reverse to draw out hot kitxchwn air. I will have to manually turn it around. Holmes, make it perfect by adding a Reverse function! The llight gray grid covering the fan blade can be turned on or off to slowly oscillate which distributes the air more widely into the room. Each time it is turned on it alternates the direction of the oscillation. The remote is a nice touch. If not in use it can be strored in the back of the fan. Same with the cord, it tucks away into a lidded compartment. This is a quality fan that moves a lot of air while remaining very quiet. It comes with a three year limited warranty. Since most window fans don't last past their first year and die right after the warranty expires I do hope that this fan will fare better. I am glad that I looked beyond small box fans and found this model.
