KUDA 5965 Leather Mount Black Compatible with Mazda 2 (Since 2015), CX-3 (Since 2015)/ Scion IA (Since 2016)

Interesting setup for sure. Its not a hard clasp clip mount but rather tabs you bend back around the trim piece which is still pretty solid and less chance of damaging the leatherette trim piece. A couple of things to note, The surface is not flat facing out ward. It is flat but the height of the sides which make contact with the trim piece are different. The result is the mounting face is tilted to face the driver which is ok when installing things that require only one base such as a phone mount. I was going to use it to initially hold up a joyingauto headunit screen but it required 2 mounting surfaces that both face flat outward which unfortunatly will not work here since both would be angled towards the driver so Instead im putting in a arkon drill base phone mount which is perfect for this application.-Drill/screw on phone mounts are perfect for this since you can pop holes in this mount and not your cars dash.-Stick on adhesive phone mounts will probably not work since the leather/texture surface of this will not properly adhere through temp changes etc.
