Surprisingly impressive set!
I am very impressed with this package. (I haven't used it yet, and I may come back and modify it.) It has three solidly constructed wheels, each between 3/4" and 1" thick. I would expect to pay as much for the wheels if I bought them individually as I paid for the entire kit. They lack reinforcement around the holes, and I may have to use washers; but they are tightly sewn, so maybe not. There are also four sticks of buffing compound, not the big pound-size sticks but big enough to last for a long, long time in a home workshop. Again, I haven't tried them yet; I am assuming that each has the level of grit that each color denotes. Oh, and there is no green, if you are looking to polish stainless steel; but the set includes both the black and the white, and a stick of green shouldn't be too expensive. (If I'm disappointed with it, I'll be back; otherwise my first impression will have been correct!)

Works decently but it spits out lint like nothing other.
Good value for the money, 3 different wheels and 4 compounds. I used it for removing hairline scratches from expensive japanese knives that were caused by cheap plastic blade guards. They weren't very deep but were noticeable in certain light. I used fine sandpaper 1k-1.5k-2k-2.5k to prep the knives. I only used the coarse white disc and the fine finishing disc. The instructions are somewhat understandable and I was off. After some time they came out mirror polished. I'm looking for other things around the house to polish next. Tip use this at the lowest RPM setting as possible on your benchgrinder and increase if you want but if you go too high it's a lintstorm. The compounds feel a bit dry but applies to the spinning discs well. I'd go heavy for best results and there is plenty. I'd say this kit will last me quite some time probably a few years, but I'd buy it again if I need to replace.

Exactly what I needed.
This kit did exactly what I needed. First, it was much cheaper as a kit that to buy the individual parts from my local hardware store. Secondly, it arrived so fast. In addition to the wheels and buffing compounds there were instructions and a chart for which compound to use when, included. I followed the instructions and my piece turned out excellent. I purchased a 1/2"X12" all-thread and 6 nylon lock nuts with 6 fender washers and 6 sturdy washers assembled all three wheels and mounted it on my lathe. The extra hardware cost around Ten dollars. They worked great.

Perfect set-up all in one package...
This kit comes with everything you need to polish metal. I took the guards and grinding wheels off an old 6" grinder I had. I installed the buffing wheels and had the machine buffing parts in only a few minutes. It comes with roughing blocks for course, fine, and extra fine. I didn't notice a brown block since it looked like I got two grey blocks; not a big deal for me since the three grits do exactly what I need. If you are doing jewelry, then you need the extra fine that this kit provides, but the fine will be enough to finish most general polishing. Because there are three different grades of roughing blocks, the kit also comes with three different grades of buffing wheels. You need these to keep from mixing the grits of the roughing blocks onto the same wheels. The instruction manual is clear on how to use the kit and to get a good polish. It also shows which roughing grades to use on which metals. So far I have polished about 23 steel, brass, and iron parts with great results. I also buffed plastic parts; one of which were the plastic headlights on a car. This kit had them looking almost new. I am very happy with this kit and glad I didn't spend the money to buy the items separately. UPDATE: Its been 1.5 years since I started using this kit. I have used it so much that the wheels now need to be replaced and I need more roughing blocks. So, I just bought another one of these kits on sale since it was cheaper than buying all the parts separately. I have buffed so many things that I wonder how I ever got along without it before. I even cleaned up some of my wife's jewelry.

Not rated for 3000rpm?
Installed the treated spiral and spiral buffs on a 3000rpm buffer and they went into self destruct. Buffer wheel material flying everywhere. Contacted the manufacturer and they stated the wheels are not meant for 3000rpm speed and should be used at 1500rpm. However, the Enkay website and supplied instructions clearly state that the product can be used at 3000rpm or less. ([...]). I have asked Enkay why there is a 1500rpm limit when their own instructions state otherwise and have not gotten an answer.

Great Kit For a Good Price
This is an impressive kit for the price. I purchased this kit to buff my old, scratched-up CD collection back to working order. The buffing wheels seemed of high quality and easily attached to my bench grinder. The polishing compounds were in good condition (not broken or crumbling), and the instructions for which compound to use for your application are very clear. I am now rocking out to 90's alternative bands like a champ. Very happy with this purchase.

Works good - prepare surface prior to use
this is a decent buffing and polishing kit. follow the instructions and order you a good mandrel for your drill - if you plan to use a drill with this kit. you can find one on Amazon under "screw mandrel polishing sanding grinding machine 1/2" from findingking. It is the best mandrel for the pads in this kit that I have used. If you are polishing aluminum wheels make sure they have not been painted with clear coat to protect the finish - as most of them are. That finish has to be removed prior to polishing. Paint remover and a brush from the hardware store will remove the finish. Follow the instructions on the can. Then this kit will make your wheels shine with a mirror finish. Good luck!

Makes Jewelry Look Like New
I bought this item with the intention of using it to clean and polish jewelry. It worked far and above my expectations. The polishing compounds that came in the kit are professional grade, and deliver professional results. I polished a couple of pieces that were badly scratched, and they came out looking like they just came from the jewelry store. I definitely will be ordering more in the future.
