The pictures have a lot of detail and the book gives you a sense of scale for what middle class artisans, soldiers, and upper class nobles were living like in these decorated, well-designed structures. The key takeaway from this book is that you can appreciate the engineering and design of large ornate buildings.

Learn everything you want to know about castles
Ordered this book for a friends son who is currently obsessed with castles. He was glued to it and soon learned all the ins and outs of Castles. Very detailed, educational and fun to read and explore.

Fantastically nostalgic, visually and informationally amazing!
One of my grade school teachers had this in class and I spent hours investigating the pages. Even with HD history documentaries and the like today, this book still extensively captures my curiosity. It legit has tons of neat information and visuals about architecture and life in castles. If someone has the slightest interest in the Middle Ages, lord of the rings, D&D, castles or anything like that, this book will suck them right in. I got this little sliver of nostalgia for my 2nd grade son and he gets just as lost in it as I do! The print is fantastic and just like I remember it. Thanks so much!

Great for any castle-lovers you know!
My grandson loved it! Lots of details for him to read about. I did expect the book to be a bit larger (page-wise), but there's a lot of info (small print) there for him to absorb. If he's happy, I'm happy!

Impresionante
Simplemente impresionante. Explica con muchísimo detalle todo acerca de la construcción de un castillo, la vida en el mismo y los asedios. Mucha información, muy bien condensada y fácil de entender para todo el mundo. También quiero decir que recomiendo comprarlo en físico y no en digital, pues la resolución de la versión digital deja bastante que desear y por esta razón la devolví para adquirir la versión en papel.
