TWSBI Diamond 580/540 Nib Set B

TWSBI is a favorite. I’m enjoying being able to swap out nib sizes without buying a whole new fountain pen. As always they work perfectly and I’ll continue building my collection. Great value, feels good in your hand, flow is great and I’ve never had a TWSBI leak or give me any trouble. I probably need to quit buying so many fountain pens but it’s so tempting.

I bought this TWSBI assembly ( 580 ) because I need a smooth, broad line-scale. I installed the nib ( this 580 assembly is a B Broad ) alone on the assembly of my TWSBI Precision GunMetal Fountain. Once you learn that a few minutes in the freezer makes it easier to remove the TWSBI nibs ( Pressure/Friction Fit ) the swaps are easy. Again - the Nib ( Broad B ) from the TWSBI 580 can removed from the assembly and perfectly fit to the TWSBI Precision Fountain Pen assembly. YAY for Broad and Medium options. This swapped nib ( B ) makes my TWSBI Precision Gunmetal Fountain Pen - my formal / signature favorite. GREAT JOB - TWSBI !!!

I bought a TWSBI 580AL a while ago and it was a very frustrating pen with a slow ink starvation problem. Early on it would start skipping after a page or two. After some nib adjustments could get this issue out to 3-4 pages of writing, but I always knew that particular Medium nib was just not right. Throughout my trying to fix the issue I read and watched many TWSBI reviews. I came to the conclusion the TWSBI Broad nib consistently was the most trouble free, not to mention the feel of it on paper also had great acclaim. This is why I bought this nib... to replace my troubled Medium nib. I'm happy to report this nib works fantastic. It is exceptional. I've written many pages with no issue. It is nice and juicy, I can see ink shading in my words and it is sooo smooth. I will mention there definately is a sweet spot on my nib, when I'm in that zone it clearly lays down the ink the best. As a steel nib, there is no flex nor softness, which I'm good with. This nib has restored my faith in TWSBI.

It's a TWSBI Broad nib that puts your ink on the paper. I was a <EF>, <F>, and <M> nib person before being introduced to TWSBI's Broad nib...I'm a convert. Fun to write your signature and flowing sentences with this nib. Easy to change out TWSBIs nibs, so don't worry about that aspect. I think you'll enjoy the nib's smoothness, quality, and its beauty signing your John Hancock.

If you have a TWSBI, and haven't tried the broad nib, you should give yourself that luxury. The rich flow of ink through a broad nib is something fountain pen users must experience. And with a TWSBI, exchanging the nib is easy and quick. Very pleased.

After trying so many nibs ..... I finally understand what they mean by smooth like butttaaa, A real treat to write with.

Update: un avantage que je découvre, avec cette plume B on étend l éventail des types de papier possibles à utiliser. Par exemple le papier imprimante standard match très bien avec cette plume(ce qui n'est pas le cas avec toutes les plumes des stylos à encre) . Cette plume B est un réel plaisir ... et change la donne en ce qui me concerne. Msg original : délai livraison respecté, plume très facile à remplacer , cette plume B est très agréable à 1 ere vue, la M d origine était trop fine pour moi. A noter que sur le TWSBI 580 on peut changer la plume, le stylo étant toujours encré.
