Great for This Newby
This is a great, comprehensive, and well-written book for this new kayaker! GREAT DETAIL on local lakes and other can't-miss kayaking destinations!

Still excellent Information
Lots of great information which can be validated and or updated with a simple map either one from the USGS National Geographic Even a AAA map can help upgrade these details which are not far off and like one of the reviewer’s has suggestions what I would like to see from the author is to not use the word digger pine which is a derogatory word used against the Native Americans that lived here the digger pine is currently called the Gray pine or the foothill Pine, This is out of respect to the Native Americans

Old and out of date
Thought this would be timeless but it's really out of date. Not very helpful for kayaking options around Lake tahoe
