Hawk Performance HB608F.630 HPS Performance Street Brake Pads

I ordered the brake pads as mine were getting a bit worn. Not bad, but I am about to go on two cross country trips, one of which will be through the mountains and Jeep trails around Ouray, CO and I wanted to ensure I had good brakes. Shipping was fast with Amazon Prime. Install was straight forward. It took longer to get the tools out and organized than to change the actual brake pads. Altogether about 30 minutes per end (front and rear). I had a few other minor things to do while the wheels were off, but again an easy repair/replacement. The brakes were then burnished in according to recommended manufacturer specifications. The brakes set in well and worked fine from the beginning, but has I drove about 60 miles for the day, they really set in and began to work better. Definite improvement over stock. I would recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their pads to give these a try. Like the other reviews. They are good out of the box, but given a bit of time they set in and are great performers. RA

Good price and installation is a breeze (especially if you have access to air tools). The pads are good quality and even included lube for the backings and brackets. Would recommend as a nice replacement. Put them on my rear wheels, 2009 Jeep JK.

I have been buying Hawk pads for my Jeep and Camaro for a long time. They always perform well and give me a good amount of stopping power. I have no reason to buy a different brand anytime soon.

These pads are good. I’m no connisour of brake pads, but these have definitely improved my stopping force (although I am coming from heavily worn pads). Despite the listing information here and on other sites, my pads did not come with the retaining clips. They came with the backing plates (pre-installed) and some silicone-based grease, but I had to re-use the old retaining clips.

These brake well and were simple to install. However, I am disappointed in the large amount of brake dust they produce. Also, after further research it appears that these are NOT ceramic which explains the great deal of dust. I have never had rear wheels stay covered with brake dust like I do with these brakes. I've had them on for 2 months and will be throwing them in the trash.

I bought these pads after reading in several Jeep forums that they were great performers, and I will say that they are. Muck better than stock. They come with the grease needed, and I didn't have any squeaking after install. I plan on buying the matching front pads shortly.

you need this if youhave steel bumpers, winch, and mud tires... it improved stopping distance of my JKU significantly... NO Need for expensive BBK. This is all you need.

These pads matched with the Centric slotted rotors are great. Much better than the stock brakes. You need to bed these in proper or it will take you some time to realy get the true braking power of these pads.
