For the price, this is a great set of bits. I only needed the 40mm core drill to go through a solid brick pier 350mm deep. It took about an hour but the drill eventually went through. I had drilled a pilot hole with an 8mm long masonry drill to act as a guide. It's not clear but the set comes with a grub screw and a hex bolt to secure the guide drill. I used the grub screw with some Loctite and it didn't come loose as some have reported.

Did the job, cut through brick work with ease

Bought this as I needed to drill a hole through an old 50's built council house double skin brick wall to put a waste pipe through. Knew the bricks were hard, but reviews on this were OK so thought for the price it was worth a go! Worked really well! 40mm hole at slight angle through both skins in about 20 minutes. BUT... only problem is that the bolt that secures the guide bit kept coming loose, and eventually came out and disappeared into the cavity between the 2 brick walls :/ No major drama as I was nearly all the way through by then so just took the drill out for last little bit, but not ideal, hence a star off. Just need to establish what size replacement bolt I need and will grab a few as fully expect to loose more. All in all, a pretty good set and hole saw seems to have not degraded after use so far.

The set is good value for money however for me there were 2 problematic issues: 1) The screws that keep the pilot drill bit in place kept loosening no matter how tight they were 2) The main boring bit became so tight on the main shaft that the threads got damaged while removing it. Unfortunately I had to return it for a refund....

Drills good but you need to stop and clean the bits inside. Happy that I drilled a brick wall . Recommend.

Reviews looked good so thought I'd give these a go. All was fine until I spun the drill up! The extension piece was not straight and therefore wobbles so much that it was unusable. Am returning for a refund. Maybe I just got a dodgy one 😞

Compré esta broca de corona SDS con extensión larga porque necesitaba hacer los huecos para pasar las tuberías del aire acondicionado a través de los muros de mi casa, que tienen un grosor considerable, unos 47 cm. Uno de los motivos decisivos que era la única opción disponible con una longitud total de unos 42 cm, suficiente para este tipo de trabajo. La broca taladra bien, corta de forma estable y transmite una buena calidad de fabricación. Cumple exactamente con lo que se espera de este tipo de herramienta y viene bien presentada, lista para usar. Respecto a un comentario que he leído sobre que el tornillo de la broca guía central estorba, en mi experiencia no es un problema real. La broca central se utiliza únicamente al inicio como guía para centrar el agujero; una vez el corte está encarrilado, se puede retirar tanto la broca guía como el tornillo que la fija, y el trabajo continúa sin ninguna interferencia. Conclusión: Una broca muy adecuada para perforaciones profundas en muros gruesos, con buena calidad, buen rendimiento y una longitud difícil de encontrar en otros modelos. Si necesitas pasar tuberías o conductos en paredes de gran espesor, cumple perfectamente con su función y es una compra recomendable.
