Easy to use. I had hand surgery and could not use a hand crank opener. From putting the can under the magnet to pushing the top, worked like a charm. No sharp edges to contend with. Very sturdy, and definitely value for the money.

Great quality can opener! The way it opens cans prevents cuts and prevents metal shavings from falling into food or whatever you are opening. Its very easy to use and even opens large cans with ease.

I have been using this for five years and it works great! You hold the head down as it cuts through the can. When the top pops up, there are no sharp edges! I just purchased another one for my best friend, hoping the five kids would love it so much they'd help mom cook! It works really well, holds the cans without any problem, is very durable. Mine is black and silver and fits in well with a stainless kitchen. It stays clean and doesn't need to come apart to clean as my others did. We really like this item a lot.

Definitely the best can opener I have ever used. I mean I've only used like 4 but this one knocks it out of the park. SUPER easy to use, great quality, great magnet strength, perfect speed, Durable. Nice looking too. Love that it doesn't leave a sharp edge.

I have both Hamilton Beach can openers like this. The other one comes with scissors. The look alike and work alike. However, this one is a shiny chrome and shiny black finish, while the other one is a matte silver and black finish. I personally prefer the matte finish, but it costs more (you do get scissors). They both make opening cans easy, even cans with tab openers. I can never open those cans with the tab. Both leave no sharp edges. Take your pick, they are both great, but the shiny, plasticky finish gets 4 stars and the matte finish rates 5 stars in my opinion.

After several unhappy experiences with electric can openers, I took a chance on this one by Hamilton Beach. I was prepared to be frustrated again. In the 9 months since, I have been grateful for this little work horse. It cuts through cans so quietly and quickly that I don’t even realize the job is done. You do have to hold the can while it is working. No sharp edges, no gunk build up. Great product. Mine is plugged in, so I cannot comment on battery life.

This is the best electric can opener I have ever used. It is easy to use and it opens the cans so there are NO sharp edges!! I did not know such a can opener existed!!

Takes a few tries to get used to it, but once you get the hang it, it is the best opener as cans are cut WITHOUT any sharp edges on the can or lid afterwards. Cost a bit more than some traditional openers, but works much better.
