Husqvarna 16" Chain Saw
I bought this saw to compliment the larger 460 Husqvarn Rancher that I purchased several years ago. The Rancher has proven itself to be reliable and useful helping me with 7 heavily wooded achers. I needed a smaller (lighter) saw for regular upkeep on the property. I selected this saw because of my past experiences with Husqvarna products and the saws lightweight. Having already owned Husqvarna saws, I knew the startup proceedure. I unboxed the saw, added the 2.6 ox of 2-cycle oil (provided with the saw) to 1gallon of gasoline, and filled the tank on the saw. I also filled the bar lube resevoir (not provided so you'll need to purcahse some). Follow the startup proceedure and the saw starts EVERY time -no issues. For those who have not had a Husqvarna, the startup is to push the chain brake forward, Pull the chock out and push it up to the highest position, pump the primer ball 6 times, place the saw on the ground, slip your right foot through the handle (to hold the saw firmly to the ground), place your left hand on the top of the handle (to steady the saw when you pull the start cord), pull the rope-start with your right hand until the saw "burbs" or acts like it wants to start (about 2 or 3 pulls), push the chock down to the next "notch", and give the start cord a pull. The saw will start every time. Pull the chain brake to the rear and Let the saw idle for about 15 seconds, then give the thottle a good "blip", run it up to speed for about 30 seconds to warm the saw up, and you are ready to cut. The brand new saw - out of the box - started on the first pull after following the above proceedure. I really like the light weight and very sharp 16" blade. I also like that the air filter element is easy to access and clean. I'd also recommend investing in a Husqvarna carry case with integral chain bar cover.

Great little saw
Very Good power for a non-pro homeowners saw

The right saw for the job
Worth every penny, a small homeowner saw that works when you need it! I've had better experiences with these Husqvarnas than any other brand. Durable, easy to start and run, not too heavy.

Starts easily and cuts well. NO RETURNS on chainsaws through amazon!
Tends to die after each cut. Doesn't idle well. Probably just needs a carb tune, but was expecting more from husqvarna. Overall, a good saw but be warned NO RETURNS on chainsaws through amazon!

Don't buy for the brand
Worked fine first day and hasn't run right since. Have tried everything, new spark plugs, cleaned out the carb, messed with all the tuning adjustments. Still doesn't run right, hard to start. Should have just bought some generic Chinese saw and would be better off probably. Oh and the auto oiling chain makes a mess as you cant adjust how much oil it puts out.

Great bang for the buck out of this little chainsaw
This is an exceptional home chainsaw. It has been easy to start each time and we have used to fell a few small trees. I have a Stihl for larger jobs, but I can honestly say that this outperformed by expectations and was much easier to start.

So far so good
So far good product, started as it should, cuts well. Only time will tell if it will continue this way.
