Once I got the correct size, this harness seems to be working out very well. I have to comment that there is a huge size difference between the medium and the large. My pup is still growing so sizing is difficult. I originally ordered a medium because that is the size of his current harness. But the medium felt more like a small or an XS so I had to return it. Since it was so small, I almost went for an XL, but after reading more reviews decided to get a large. And holy COW, it is WAY bigger than their medium!!! We went from Gus from Cinderella trying to fit into his sweater to a bit too big! But it’s okay because like I said, he is still growing. My pup is a mix of Chihuahua, husky, cattle dog, German shepherd, so a little bit of everything. He’s currently 34lbs and the large on the smallest setting is just a smidge loose but still works for him. It is overall very cute, seems sturdy, he walks well with it, and surprisingly putting it on and taking it off is pretty easy. There is a front clip and a rear clip and a handle on the top/back area. So far, I give it 5 stars….. once you get past cutting the bajillion zip ties they have holding it onto the piece of cardboard in the packaging 🤣 UPDATE: My pup is now 41lbs and the large fits like a charm now. I wanted to update my review to comment that we have put in MANY miles with this harness and it is holding strong. My guy was and sort of still is a BIG puller and I’m VERY impressed that the harness hasn’t torn and the clip location is still very fully intact 👍🏻

LOVE THIS HARNESS! I have purchased and returned no fewer than 5 harnesses for my Boxer-German Shorthair mix in the past week, and this one, by far, has taken the winning spot! It’s easy to adjust, it’s comfortable but not stretchy to the extent that it re-adjusts itself during wear. It’s easy to put on and take off of my dog. It is sturdy enough to provide me excellent control if my dog tries to suddenly run after a squirrel or rabbit, and exerting that anti-pull control doesn’t hurt my dog. It’s well-made, of good quality materials, and offers cushioned padding, while still being breathable, preventing chafing and irritation to my dog’s sensitive skin. And I know my dog likes it because when it’s time to put it on for a walk, he sits perfectly still with his head in an upright position for it to be quickly slipped on. Further, he knows that when I hold it up for him to see, it’s time to “get dressed” to go out! He also doesn’t seem to mind wearing it inside. I thought the side buckles might bother him when he’s lying on his side, but that doesn’t appear to be the case, as you can see in the pics. I’m extremely pleased with this harness, and would highly recommend it to anyone! One thing I would like to mention is that I originally ordered a large and it was just a bit too snug for him, although the measurements given indicated it should be a perfect fit. It might have been something I did wrong, or maybe I didn’t try well enough to adjust that one. I was just so frustrated by that time after trying so many different harnesses from a local pet supply store that I chose to return the large size of this harness and give one last try to this extra large, which I do have adjusted to the snuggest fit. But I prefer that it isn’t super tight, because I want him to be comfortable and due to the design of the harness, there’s no possible way for him to slip out of it, so the safety and control factors are still solid. My dog weighs 53 pounds, with a chest girth of 28” and a neck circumference of 17”. I love the emergency handle on the back for added control in an urgent situation, and the front and back rings were a must have feature. Additionally, the front ring sits flat against the harness and slightly recessed, which I soon discovered led to a small pocket where emergency info could theoretically be stashed! I’ve added this harness to my favorites, and I’ve followed the seller’s store here on Amazon. I’ll soon be checking out what other good quality products they have to see if I can find anything else that would be great for my dog!

I recently purchased this BARKBAY no pull dog harness with the front clip design to help manage my dog's pulling during walks, and it has made a noticeable difference in control and walking behavior. The front clip attachment redirects my dog's forward momentum to the side when they pull, which naturally discourages pulling without any harsh corrections or choking like traditional collars. The heavy duty construction feels solid and durable, with sturdy stitching and quality buckles that inspire confidence it will hold up to my dog's strength and regular use. The reflective strips along the straps are a great safety feature for early morning or evening walks, making my dog more visible to cars and other pedestrians in low light conditions. The easy control handle on the back is incredibly useful for situations where I need quick, close control, like navigating crowded areas, crossing streets, or preventing my dog from lunging at squirrels. The padded chest and belly straps seem comfortable for my dog and haven't caused any chafing or irritation even on longer walks. The harness is fairly easy to put on once you get the hang of the buckle system, though it did take a few tries initially to figure out the correct order and adjustment points. However, the sizing runs noticeably large, and even though I ordered a medium based on the size chart for my dog, it ended up being too big and I had to tighten all the adjustable straps significantly to get a secure fit. I would definitely recommend sizing down from what the chart suggests to avoid excess material and ensure a snug, proper fit without maxing out the adjustment range. The star pattern design looks nice and adds some visual interest, though the pattern is just cosmetic and doesn't affect functionality. The multiple adjustment points allow for customization, but getting everything balanced and evenly fitted takes some patience and trial and error. The front clip does cause the harness to shift slightly to the side when my dog pulls hard, requiring occasional readjustment during walks to keep it centered properly. Overall, it's an effective, well-made no pull harness that significantly improves walking control and safety, but the large sizing means you should order smaller than the chart recommends for the best fit.

I am super picky about harnesses and this one is awesome. My dog seems to be very comfortable wearing it and it’s easy and easy off. Not too bulky, it’s flexible and soft. We do a lot of off leash hikes so I use it on her for the bright orange to make sure she stands out when we’re in the woods, but I also like the handle on the back in case I need to grab her if we’re on precarious slopes. I don’t use it with a lead so not sure how it would work that way, but for our purpose it works perfect. Bella is 55 pounds American pitbull and the large fits her perfect.

I have now used this size small halter on my active 4-year old, slim build, 25 lb. beagle for 3 months. Here is my review. The fit on the girth is good and the straps do not slip. However, the strap at the chest that has the front d-ring clip is not a good design. My dog pulls very hard. I bought this halter because it had the front d-ring, which is supposed to discourage dogs from pulling more than would using the d-ring on the top of the halter, at the dog's back. Unfortunately, when the dog pulls, the halter slides significantly around to the side, so that the grab handle ends up at the dog's side, rather than on top of the back. It is not possible to get a tight fit on the chest strap because it is so hard to adjust. And even once you get the tightest fit (with 2 fingers extra room) that is safe, when the dog pulls, the straps loosen very easily. Further, the design is flawed because the chest strap does not have a clip on at least one side for easy on and off. Every time I have to take it off my dog, it is a struggle to get it off over his head (putting it on is easier). I have tried other harnesses which DO include a clip at the chest strap to make it easier and faster to get the harness on and off and that is a big improvement over this design. Lastly, on a more aesthetic level, the fabric at the chest that wraps down towards the belly pills very quickly, so even though this halter is only 3 months old, it looks rather dingy, faded and pilled, even after a wash. On a positive note, I would say the stitching is very solid and I do not have the feeling that anything will rip loose or that the d-rings will become detached. I would recommend the design be upgraded to include an easy on and off clip at the chest strap, and that the chest strap be installed in a way to make it easier to get a tighter fit that can be more easily adjusted, as it loosens up when the dog pulls hard when out walking.

GREAT harness! Fits well and is easy to adjust and appears comfortable. We use it for travel in the car with a seat belt type harness for safety. I LOVE the handle on the top for extra safety and handling control when stopping at places like rest stations on the interstate. Our boy doesn't wear it for long periods of time at home or every day. It appears to be a durable product with the perfect amount of thickness. Great value at a great price. Would buy again!

I purchased an XL dog harness for my 40kg Labrador, and while the material quality is good and the straps are thin, it didn't work well for us. The harness is too tight around the stomach, making it uncomfortable for my dog, and it didn't help with the no-pull action as I had hoped. I wouldn't recommend this harness for large dogs.

Worked like a treat - no more pulling and grunting from our little pup! Very easy to use and perfect for the car. The only problems is that it doesn't stop her from hopping on her hind legs - this is more related to the dog than the harness!

I've got a pitbull mastiff puppy so he's bulky and quite strong. This harness is the only one that I could find that fits him perfectly (I bought the xl camo) plus he still has room to grow into it if I adjust the straps, others that I have bought in store were too short and/or tight even though they were xl too. The harness is sturdy and is holding up well, I've had it for almost 4 months now and there is no rips or stretching, and even though he wears it in the river once in a while it doesn't stink right away like other harnesses he's had, I still make sure to clean it when it does get too dirty but it doesn't trap the yucky wet dog odor. This harness is also great for training if you have a strong puller/exited dog, the clip on the top gives the dog more freedom to walk but it's still heavy duty so it won't break, the clip in the front is good for corrections, training them to walk beside you and not pull as much, and if they do get too exited and try to run it works in a way where it kind of trips them up or loops them back to you plus it doesn't hurt your arm so much to correct them. There is also a handle on the top of the harness which I found is good for helping move my pup up into a vehicle or if I really need to get his attention or make him sit or lay down if he gets too excited at the dog park or around lots of people.
