For a finish saw, will do the job.
Build quality is for gentle work, finish work. Not framing. This is not a framing saw. No ground plug and small cord gauge. Miter is true, minimal blade wandering. Laser is on target. Motion is fairly smooth but not as nice as a high end saw. For the handyman home builder, this is a good finish saw. Will you break it? if you are a rough carpenter yes. For what it was designed for, it is a good value and useful. Pulls about 760 watts. Ample cord size for draw.

Effortless Assembly and Exceptional Quality
I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to assemble this saw from the moment I opened the box. The instructions were ergonomically designed, making it a breeze to follow along and identify all the parts. This was hands down the simplest assembly process I've ever encountered for a complex tool. Kudos to the engineer and ergonomic design team for a job well done! Once assembled, the robust quality and durability of the saw became apparent. It's clear that this product was well-thought-out and built to last. I am highly impressed with the excellent value for the price. Highly recommend this to anyone in need of a reliable tool!

Great saw, great support!
This saw is amazing. Super smooth ball bearing slides, smooth starting motor, lots of power to cut through steel, which is the reason I bought it. It's also super lightweight so it's easy to move around. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and wish I bought it sooner! I did have to call Evolution because I wanted to buy a clamp that hooks on the front of the saw and clamps material back against the vertical fence. They exist, but I couldn't find them on their website. One call, 2 minutes on hold and I got a super nice rep who helped me place my order and the parts were in the mail immediately. Can't say enough great things about this company and this saw. Worth every penny.

Buy This Saw!
What a fantastic saw! It cuts thick metal smoother than anything else!!! I recommend ordering a blade with more teeth, it comes with a 20 tooth blade. I had an issue with my saw, wasn't sure if it happened in shipping or was done by me... I called them, no questions asked. I had the replacement part in 3 days!!! Exceptional Customer Service 👌 The call was also answered Very Quickly. Highly Recommend 👍👍

I believe this saw has a dangerous design defect
This saw comes disassembled in 3 major parts for more compact packaging. They are the base, power head, and slider tubes. The connection between the power head and slider tubes is extremely questionable. Inside the hollow slider tubes are plastic cartridges with spring loaded metal pins. These pins are supposed to go through holes in the sliders and into holes in the power head locking them together. There's an actuator tip on the cartridge that has to be in the out position to contact the inside of the power head receiver and deploy the pins. This all has to be in precise alignment to work. On mine one of the holes in the slider tubes appears to not be offset from the end correctly and the pin couldn't deploy. After much messing around, I ended up pulling the cartridges out and forcing them to deploy just before reaching the holes. Shoving the power head on with the pins pre-deployed allowed them to lock into the holes. There are a few sentences in the manual addressing the fact that these pins need to be locked in place. I don't think the manual places enough emphasis on how important these pins are. If the power head came off while the saw was in use it would be potentially catastrophic. It seems like there should be a more positive and verifiable way to lock the head and sliders together. Outside of that the saw is adequate for the price I guess. It works and it's obvious a lot of thought went into it, possibly too much in the case of the over engineered spring pin cartridges. There's a lot of flex in the head. The fence and bed parts don't seem to align as precisely as one might hope. You get what you pay for as usual.
