Hello...I have used the samsung s4 and have the LG Ultimate 2 4.5" screen model and the LG G3 rocks! I use it for great skyline and nature photos and have a nikon DSLR pro camera and the pictures are very simular which is amazing. The FEATURES THAT SET THE LG G3 apart from SAMSUNG ARE QUIT A FEW...The screen quality is much better than even the S5 or S6 and the natural colors are better that the samsung by far. SUPERIOR FEATURES INCLUDE.. Voice command photo snap...for selfies or holding small objects TAP ON AND OFF screen..no button finding. Customizable task keys that can disapper on selected apps by you like ALL SCREEN mode while typing , watching movies and Browsing the web so ALL OF THE 5.5 AMAZING clear screen is there without distractions. POP UP mini INCOMING Window s so phone, text and others can be done without leaving your original task like a mini full phone keypad (about 1/5 size or screen ) like while gaming or texting and having mini keyboard to call with at the same time.....Its wonderful. I counted atleast 20 features so far the samsung s or note dosen't do and there are many you tube videos on samsung vs. this LG G3 to prove it. Do you want the best screen under 500.00 with top specs and even a QHD screen for 4K content to future proof yourself now....CHECK. And finally , since I'm buying a Higher grade and more feature rich phone that even a s6 samsung for about 170.00 AT&T unit AND UNLOCKED used here on amazon, from the same company that built my NEXUS phones of amazing slimmer and top flight specs units I have owned can I go wrong with this over say the sammy S5 I was going to buy at twice or triple the price used.... what do you think...LG brains , brawn and 4K picture screen res now for photos and my own videos are amazing...playback of movie and tv all on -line streaming services like netflix, hulu, amazon prime just look sharper and with over 20 more advanced features that my sammy phone, I love to use and look at its feature , It just more natural to hold, listen , see, hear, and use...WASN"T THAT THE REAL REASON TO OWN this phone..or as stan in the office said..." IT's like owning a TESLA sports car at a CAMRY sedan price both are great cars but you can see and feel the diffrence right away...WOW how much was that one again ??? I think the office jumped the gun on the sammy's" ATTENTION TRACFONE USERS.... I have a tracfone account here in the S.F. bay area for many years as a backup phone and my I T guy said he called them and they can transfer are OUR CURRENT 1 YEAR ACTIVE ACCOUNT PHONES to these LG G3 if unlocked and on AT&T or t moblie carrier. SO THATS A CHAMPAGNE PHONE on enen a geniric beer price plan but check with tracfone customer service about your area for service and just buy the right carrier in your area like verizon, at&t or t-mobile your in. And if you get t-mobile service model as them about WIFI CALLING for free like my daughter can on her SAMMY S4...LOVE IT and run to AMAZON WAREHOUSE DEALS like I did for a amazing deal on a better that top of the line phone...I still can't believe I'm using this top drawer phone and amazing features and clarity for under 200.00 bucks with 4k picture and fabulous sound , what else would you want it a phone at any price....Jay

Short version - awesome phone. Don't worry about the buttons on the back. If you want a big phone, this is a great one. Get it. Long version; I have a few phones and I will compare this one. I will mostly use the Droid Turbo as a basis for comparison, since there aren't many phones out there with a QHD panel. I also have a 2014 Moto X and a HTC One M8 and Max. So yeah, I have a few points of reference. Now the big thing - the panel. The QHD panel on this phone is nothing short of amazing. If you are used to colors that jump out at you, like the older Samsungs, this one will look a lot different. Colors are realistic and the resolution will astound you. WHile there aren't many apps that actually use all that res, it's there and believe me, you can tell. My most used app is Kindle, and reading with this resolution is a sheer pleasure. What I don't like is it can't present a real sepia, which seems to be a problem for LCDs. It's very white. The fonts are razor sharp at any size. It's great. The Turbo has the same QHD type panel in a smaller space, so density is a little higher and the LED display is more saturated. But the Turbo display isn't as good as this. There is just something about LCDs which is less in your face, but easy on the eyes. If you look at your phone as much as I do, that matters. One thing that worried a lot of people was power consumption. QHD, it's said, takes more power and that makes sense. You are switching more transistors, and that takes power. But that is just not an issue. I make it all day with plenty of juice left, just like on the Turbo. Physically it's a big phone. Somewhat larger than the Moto X, about the same as the Turbo, but the G3 is thinner than the Turbo. So it's very small for it's screen size, which is LARGER than the Turbos. The controls on the back are easy to get used to. Notifiers are pretty basic. There is an LED that, with the proper apps, you can control the color of for a notifier. The Turbo and Moto X have on-screen notifiers, which in the Moto running Android 5 (Lollipop) are nicely detailed. However I prefer the LED believe or not. It's less obtrusive and I can tell what the notifier is by color. That's all I need. I'm an old Blackberry guy, so that's what I am used to. Performance is smooth and stutter free when running the usual tasks; Kindle, email, SMS, videos, GPS turn by turn guidance, and at work taking pics, graphing and other math (I'm an electronic engineer). There was a slight stutter on dense graphics, but a recent update seems to have helped that. By comparison the Droid Turbo screams on the high density stuff, so it can be done and I thing LG is getting it right. Sound is good. Not great, but very good. Speakerphone sounds fine, calls are nice, loud and clear, and watching video is good. By contrast sound on the Motorolas is great. About on M8 level, and the Motorolas are better than anything else including the M8 when on the phone held to the ear. So ranking in sound are the Motos, M8, then the G3. But bear in mind they are ALL very good. As far as reception, I have had zero problems. It seems as good as my Motos, and that's a high standard. No drops anywhere. Admittedly where I live, there is good signal everywhere. So your experience may be different. I am planning a trip to visit my niece in North Carolina, where she lives in basically the rear end of nowhere with terrible signal. I will re-evaluate at that time. The only phone I've had that did well was a Blackberry. So, battery life excellent. Sound good. Screen superb. Size to screen ratio superb. This is just an all around great phone and I put it right up there with the Turbo, M8, and anything else. If you have pocket space and want a lot of very sharp screen without going to a Note sized phone (but still getting very near that screen size in a smaller, less expensive package), this is the phone you want. I'm a happy camper with this phone.

Until yesterday, this was the best phone I had ever owned. I considered myself sold forever on LG mobile devices, having influenced multiple family and friends to buy LG G3 and G4 products. After 16 months with my phone, which I purchased brand new on Amazon, the screen faded to black from the corners and subsequently turned off. The haptic feedback and LED light indicated that the phone was still working, so I am assuming the LCD panel was bad. Subsequently, the screen only flickered on occasionally, going dark within seconds. I'm pretty handy with tech, and not afraid to solve many problems on my own, so I did some quick research on the problem and discovered seven pages of LG G3 users with the same problem, and on the same time frame (http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg-g3/527306-why-does-my-lg-g3-screen-flicker-fades-darkness.html), about a year and a half in. Okay, I thought, LG is a reputable company, and I would now say the prevalence of this problem rises to the level of "known issue," so I reached out to the company via LG's online service request. Ironically, I received a grammatically incorrect email (see the photograph) instructing me to call them (my only phone is non-operational). This morning I borrowed a phone and made the call. After talking to a robot and listening to some irrelevant promotional offerings, I got through to a call center. The woman on the phone was pleasant enough, but even my tri-lingual brain couldn't decipher her accent, and she couldn't understand me. After some work, I realized she was demanding the phone number attached to my SIM card. I politely informed her that this was private information not directly attached to the phone I purchased off contract. She then uttered something completely unintelligible to me. I politely informed her that I was having difficulty understanding her, and she abruptly hung up on me. I am not willing to waste my valuable time on a company that doesn't value its customer base. The smartphone market has thin margins these days. For LG, the market just got thinner.

Not as good as I hoped, but still plenty of good. My old phone simply wasn't working right any more, so I couldn't afford to wait. When I purchased this phone the options I considered were: Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC One, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Motorola Moto X and LG G3. Of these phones, I am still convinced the G3 is the best. I knew the Note 4 was about to come out and I was aware the Droid Turbo was soon to be released. If I could have, I would have waited for the Droid Turbo, which I think is the better phone. I seriously considered waiting for the Note 4, but I am not unhappy that I missed it. The LG G3 is a beautiful piece of hardware. The screen is not as responsive as I expected, and the phone gets very hot very quickly when playing games. I was honestly expecting a more responsive experience with gaming on this phone than what it is capable of. Coming from the 2012 Droid RazrM, my subjective opinion is that this phone is no more responsive than my old phone. SCREEN: That being said, the G3's screen cannot fairly be compared to my old phone. The screen is very, very good. BATTERY: The battery life is more than sufficient for a full day of normal use. Playing games more than an hour out of the day will drain the battery and require a mid-day recharge. INTERFACE: The LG interface is terrible (opinion) and I eventually replaced it with Nova Launcher. CUSTOM FEATURES: The custom features are pretty good, though I already had most of them with third-party software, which I still prefer. STORAGE: Generous storage at 32GB and I wish every phone started at that level. CAMERA: Not a lot to compare it to, but I can say better than Galaxy S3, better than Droid RazrM, better than iPhone4s, and better than our 3 year old point/shoot Canon, Fuji and Sony. When I say "better" I only mean in terms of picture quality for everyday situations - specifically, playing with my children. Very happy with it. Would I buy it again? Probably not, but only because better phones are available now.

My upgrade was not until November and I couldn't wait to dump my Galaxy S3. I have been doing my research on a new phone since back in May and was taken aback by the G3 with it's screen, camera and excellent reviews. I knew the Note 4 and the new iPhones were on the horizon as well and am adept at using both Android and iOS so this would not be a problem. Well price became a factor for me and I knew the G3 was the lowest priced of the devices in regards to a 2 year contract update with AT&T but was not willing to pay 199.99 or even 99.99 not including tax for the device as I figured I might as well shell out the extra money for either a Note 4 or the iPhone 6. When the G3 dropped to 49.99 on November 1 (the first day I could get my upgrade) I was sold. Getting a deal on a great phone with a great screen is always a good feeling especially when you know you will have to use said device for the next two years. The screen is a power hog as CNET described but it sure is beautiful and the little speaker on the back has more power to it than any other phone I have ever owned. If you are worried about having the power and volume on the back of the phone don't be, you get used to it very quickly. The knock knock feature is excellent as well, it makes having an actual button on the front of the device seem outdated. LG really did a marvelous job with this phone. I just wish it had come with a new pair of headphones but my old samsung ones should work fine. The camera is decent. The laser autofocus works very well but the grainy android photos are still an issue indoors and at night, I will have to try taking a picture outside during the day to see if anything changes. This seems to be an across the board issue with every android device I have ever used but from what I was using (S3) this is a massive improvement. I will have to see pictures on a Note 4 to compare at some point and am aware the iphone 6 plus probably does take a better picture in low light and indoors. Again for the price I am not complaining, THIS PHONE IS THE BIGGEST STEAL FOR ANYBODY RIGHT NOW! If you are living on a tight budget and need a new device BUY THIS PHONE! The screen size is just right and for being 5.5 inches it is incredibly ergonomic! The displays at the store do not do this phone justice, THIS IS THE BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK PHONE ON THE MARKET RIGHT NOW! Easily smokes my friends S5! Even the stock weather and clock on the home screen are beautiful! Anybody that gets this device will tell you for the money you will love it! This is easily a far superior and less cluttered (far less bloatware than Samsung devices) android experience, if you want the Nexus 6 but don't like the fact it does not have SD CARD SUPPORT OR A REMOVABLE BATTERY you will love the LG G3!!!!!!! This is the best android phone of 2014 by far! I love my Nexus 7 tablet since it is pure android but for the money and removable battery and sd card support (it takes up to a 128gb but I put in a 64gb) this is the best android phone for the money! Bang for your buck this is it!

First let me say, my last 3 phone's have been Samsung's. So after doing a bit of research, and seeing how cheap my upgrade would be, I settled on the G3. My order arrived within 34 hours after purchasing it. (2 day free shipping) Unboxed everything, started the charging process and then began restoring all my data. I used CM Backup and highly recommend it, as it was one of the quickest restore's I've ever done. Then I went about digging into the settings, and optimized things for battery drain purposes. Almost all of my app's synced via the Google Play services update. About 80% anyway. So I installed the things it missed, organized my home screen and then read a few "tip's and trick's" articles online about all these other unique features the phone offers. My favorite has to be being able to quickly pull up the camera via the volume down button on the back. Very handy. Another tip is to change the picture rez within the camera settings. By default, it's set to 12mp, you can up it to the full 15 with one switch. Other than that, the battery charged in less than 3 hours!! Another first for me as my S3 would take at minimum 4 hours. So now I'm putting it through it's paces to see what I get out of the battery on it's first charge. Then of course keep charging and discharging at least 3x to get the max life out of the battery. It's a beautiful phone, especially compared to my S3. I'm sure it'll take a while to get completely adjusted to LG's version of TouchWiz and functions. But so far, I'm very happy with the phone and even though it's not all metal, It wasn't made to look like the plastic it is. Has a nice sturdy looking design and just feels right in my hand. (average size) Gorgeous screen and very snappy response while multi-tasking with various apps and features. And for 1 penny?? The best penny I've ever spent. I'll try to update on my experience with it in a few weeks. ----------------------------------------------------- EDIT: Jan 19th - So far, so good. This screen is gorgeous and the quad core cpu combined with the 3mb of RAM, really fly. Even when I've multiple apps running at the same time. I just got the (LG G3 Case, SUPCASE Premium Hybrid Protective Bumper Case) for $15 for it and it may not be the most drop protective case, it has a nice feel with just enough protection for me. Love that the battery charges in 3 hours or less, usually 2:45 or so. But I also bought an external device charger for 2 phones for $25. Even though I seem to be getting right around 10-12 hours of moderate use out of it. I can keep this in the car to charge both my wife's phone and mine. Haven't noticed it before or since, but will def be keeping an eye out for that again.

My phone messed up so this was a replacement phone. Was never big into dropping loads of money on a phone unless In a contract with a carrier with an installment plan. This phone does the job AS A REPLACEMENT until you get A GOOD ONE. This phone lasted me from April 2016 till Early February of this year (2017) it completely bricked. Which is a bummer because I was hoping that it'd last until I'm able to get a contract. Can't at the moment due to credit (I'm young. Barely have any credit) or I was hoping it'd at least turn on so I could bluetooth a few things over to my new phone. Samsung J7, I LOVE IT, WAY BETTER DEVICE, Ordered it off of here too. 😁Paid about the same price. As for the phone itself, it's okay. I had a G3 before, it was just under Verizon (my bfs brothers phone. Bought it from him) idk if it's just me but it feels more secure to get a phone from a carrier than online. Maybe it's just paranoia...like the product isn't as great, like maybe the phones are refurbished and not brand new like the online description says which would explain the low price.... ANYWAYS, as for the phone ITSELF, it's decent. I'm BIG on taking pictures, I HAVE to have a good camera, the back camera is good while the front camera is decent if not okay.. The picture is a little fuzzy. But, the phone did what i needed it to, and I used it 24/7. Im constantly on my phone, downloading things, on social media, editing pictures, downloading and playing music, customizing icons, you name it. Maybe I'm just hard on phones lol. I was suprised it lasted me that long. However, I firmly believe it would probably last longer for someone who is elderly or not quite the user or just someone who uses it quite a bit just not as often as me haha. Being perfectly honest though, the battery life absolutey SUCKS. I could fully charge it to 100%, turn down the brightness, shut down all apps and it would still drain the battery. I even had battery doctor on my phone for the longest because I'd freak out going out or going to work and be worried that it'd die on me. So I couldnt enjoy it while being out. I'd have to use it minimally to none at all. I mean, there were tons of times i'd be at work, have it FULLY charged before leaving the house, turn it off and save the battery for my hour lunch break so i could you know be on facebook, play a game, listen to music and talk and text but instead when i'd turn it on the battery would be LOW like 50%-30% even though all I did was turn it off and then back on for my lunch. Needless to say, it was annoying and i made a habit of lugging around my charger which is also annoying and a pain, especially it dying while you're out, needing to use it and fighting to find an outlet. Also over the course of these months that went by, i bought not one but TWO batteries off of here to fix the issue with no results.The first battery I got helped the issue some but it only solved the issue for a month until it got stuck in a loop power on and off cycle. Which, again, I got the second battery to solve THAT issue. I believe the first replacement battery I purchased was called Anker (Supposedly really good batteries. High reputation online) and I got it in June... Two months after I initially got the phone. Which... Says a lot. But, like I said, people who occasionally use, the elderly or people who use alot just not like annoyingly alot like me probably could make this phone last way longer haha. Dont get me wrong, its a good phone, decent specs, camera and speed the battery just sucks and dont even bother using it outside or in your car because you wont be able to see the screen no matter how hard you try and you look absolutely silly trying to squint, put your hand over it to shade the screen and look, haha. The phone itself is durable, I recommend a good screen protector and case and it over heats like crazy so be prepared for that. All in all, a solid phone, just not the best.

Let me start out by saying this is a great phone. My last phone was a Galaxy S3, and though this has a bigger screen, it is plenty slim and I don't notice any additional size when carrying in my pants pocket. The power and volume buttons on the back take a little getting used to but I like the setup now. The lack of a physical home button also took getting used to, but it gives a lot more space for the screen, and you can configure the buttons to either stay persistent or minimize after a few seconds, on an app by app basis. I love that - those apps that I will be in for a while and want the extra space for I have minimizing (they come back up when you drag from the bottom of the screen), others that I will be in and out of I have the buttons stay on. The activity tracker is nice, i have no way to confirm it's accuracy though since I don't have a stand alone tracker. Also like the IR blaster for controlling my TV/Cable box, although you really need to point it directly at the device, which leads to a lot of missed signals. I use face detection to open and close to the screen. Probably not the most secure method, but very convenient and after using the setup program in a few different kinds of light, it is nearly 100% accurate, with PIN as a backup method. Now, the screen. It's big bright and beautiful. I love that the auto brightness lets you set an underlying setting. So your auto brightness may be at 100% or 50% or lower. This lets you allow the screen to dim and brighten automatically, but if you tend to like it a little brighter or a little darker than an "average" person, you have that control. There is no way you're seeing an individual pixel on this thing, it is just so clear. But there is a trade off. That screen is very power hungry. The phone does a great job of managing power outside of the screen, and screen is consistently about 50% of my battery usage. If i'm using it moderately, or in low light situations where the screen is darkened, I get through the day fine. If I'm using it heavily, it needs an intra-day charge. Now about that charge. This should be QI wireless compatible out of the box. But the US version is "crippled". This means you either need to buy a case that support wireless charging, or buy a "sticker" that makes the right connection for QI. That sticker is about $10, but it bothers me that the phone is crippled intentionally in this way so LG/Verizon can sell expensive cases.
