Good tone, good fit, good value but do your homework first
Needed new strings for my inexpensive but serviceable Ibanez acoustic, and because I had previously filed down a top nut slot too far, I decided to replace with one better than plastic. After seeing how many reviewers were happy with bone material, I ordered this 4 piece set with the bridge sadddes. I installed both nut and saddle and they have improved the guitar's sound, which I guess is the bottom line. The sound is louder, perhaps with a warmer tone due to more body resonance from better string contact with the body/neck. Intonation up the neck is as good or better than before probably due to the compensated saddle. You will need a good file or two for this or any set up job. Take my advice and compare the height of your original saddle and top nut to these before you install- in my case, these bones were over 1 MM too high so I took the time to file evenly across the bottom edge using a straight coarse file (80 grit sandpaper block is good too if you have that). Without filing the bottom you will get a workout filing down deep slots in this bone material, and deep slots will look like a hack job. At least the nut was very close in width than my original plastic one, so no filing was needed there; but the bridge saddle was about 1 or 2 MM short in width (better too narrow than too wide), and was an extremely tight fit into the bridge cutout (again, I used my file so it fit in the cutout without too much effort). Rated 5 stars because the set is cheap, material is solid, sounds good and is easy to work with. I'd highly recommend watching a few web video tutorials on replacing saddles and top nuts as well as adjusting truss rod and intonation (which go hand in hand with this project).

Perfect solution for the terrible piezo sound of the previous bridge saddle
I've only just installed the bridge saddle, I haven't yet installed the nut, so my rating is for only the bridge saddle. I have an inexpensive chinese-made acoustic, (Kona), which is a surprisingly good guitar for the price, in terms of materials, fit, and finish. The tone was also okay, when played acoustically. It also has a piezo bridge saddle pickup, which, unfortunately, sounded awful. The loudness of the E and B treble strings completely swamped out the other strings; the guitar was unplayable "plugged in". In a rare instance of it turning out to be good luck that a part on a guitar failed, the G string split/crushed the weak plastic saddle, so I replaced it with this bone saddle. In terms of dimensions, the replacement saddle was almost perfect. Replacement task was relatively easy, I only had to carefully file some string notches and sand about .020" off the bottom of the new saddle. The improvement in acoustic sound was noticeable, but not drastic. I would call it more balanced, also a little less bright. But the improvement in sound when listening to it plugged in was yuuge. The loudness balance among the strings is almost perfect. It didn't turn my $120 guitar into a $1200 guitar, but now it's playable plugged in, and I consider the bridge alone worth the cost of this Amazon item, because it so profoundly improved the piezo sound. I did a side-by-side dimensions comparison of the new bone nut with the one on my guitar, and it seems almost a perfect twin, but since I haven't yet installed it, I have only one other comment on the nut. Considering how much better the guitar sounds with the bone bridge saddle installed, I suspect the nut will improve the sound an imperceptible amount, (on chords with open strings only). Keep in mind that depending on your guitar, changing the nut can be risky, because it may be difficult to change it without damaging the guitar's finish. That is why I deferred installing the nut, I'm just not compelled to at this time. But if the nut on the guitar is ever damaged, I now have a spare.

Perfect for a Guild D-120
I bought these for a new Guild D-120 whose stock bone saddle didn't sit snug in the bridge slot and would fall out. One of them fit perfectly with a solid 'snap', but the other was a bit looser. That's ok, it is a natural product that will have variations. The saddle is perfect for my guitar and even quite a bit lower than my stock Guild one, so my action has improved immensely! Although I don't need the bone nuts, they appear to be the perfect fit for an Epiphone Casino I have kicking around. I plan to remove the Epiphone nut and install one of these. For the money, these are a great buy!

Nut and saddle that do the job.
Use these to upgrade tel guitars. One old on I’ve had for over 20 years and another I bought this year. These are great upgrades to a guitar that might have plastic nuts and saddles. They look great, are low cost, improve your sound and are the perfect size. I’d recommend them for sure.

Fits well, affordable.
Fits perfectly. I put these in three acoustic guitars. The first one in my Yamaha which required some sanding to get the height right, the second in a Taylor Big Baby which needed a little sanding on each end a little for height. The third dropped into a Blueridge perfectly. For the cost and the effort, this is an easy upgrade.

Excellent product
I will tell you now that other than changing your strings to a lighter or heavier gauge, there is not a cheaper way to change the tone of your guitar. You don’t realize just how much the plastic nut, saddle, and bridge pins muddy up the sound until you upgrade to bone. With a little know-how, sanding, and patience, you can improve your guitar’s sound, tone, and resonation. This purchase was actually a replacement for a nut in the Blisstime nut, saddle, and bridge pins set that I ended up sanding down to far and couldn’t use. So For about a week I was just playing with a bone saddle and bridge pins and the stock plastic nut on my Alvarez until the new nut came in. During that time, I wasn’t loving the sound. I didn’t seem to hear that dramatic difference in the tone and resonation that I was expecting to hear and was kinda bummed. But once I got the replacement nut, sanded it right this time, and installed it, it was amazing to hear the difference. I didn’t think the nut had that much to do with the sound but it evidently does. It seemed to complete the tonal transformation. It has noticeably improved the sound of my guitar in terms of tone, brightness, clarity, sustain, and resonation. I can literally feel the vibrations of the guitar against my body a lot more now. I highly recommend upgrading. Advice for sanding: Sand initially with 120 grit paper. This will bring you down to where you need to be quickly. Once you’re where you need to be, you can polish with 320 or 400 real quick to make it buttery smooth before installing. Take your time, make sure the pieces are flush on the paper and distribute the pressure evenly. I didn’t do this the first time and I ended up with an uneven sanding job. My attempt to even it out again brought it down too far and had to be throw away. Sand for 10-15 seconds and then check. No one ever won a trophy for sanding the fastest

Gretsch Jim Danny Guitar!
Not a perfect fit for a Gretsch Jim Danny Guitar! The length and depth were correct but the width needed to be sanded quite a bit to fit in the gap...after that, it worked fine...it's not a drop in replacement.

Great quality and value, but be sure you have the skills.
There is no doubt that changing the plastic pins, saddle and nut of a low end guitar can make a good difference to clarity and sustain. The pins and saddle are easil;y changed by most people (be certain you use the correct angle for your guitar, 3 dgree or 5 degree). The nut however is a different matter. You should only tackle that job if you are a good engineer and trained what to do. Else, leave it to a Luthier :)

Not Bone. It is platic
It is not made of bone. It is plastic. The parts are wrong. there are 2 saddles and no nuts. and 2 extra pieces of plastic that look like bridges for a classical guitar. Cheap plastic not even close to synthetic bone.
