36 inch Professional Dart Board Backboard, Octagonal | Wall Protector | Dartboard Surround

I purchased the 36-in octagonal Dart-Stop in black to set up behind my new dart board. It arrived in a timely fashion, well-packaged, and with the necessary instructions and hardware for installation. The hardware is/was a bit of overkill—three-inch screws really aren’t necessary if you’re driving them into a stud, and the extra length does nothing when passing through wall anchors—but it was effective nonetheless. The instructions are accurate and complete, and if followed will result in a securely, properly placed back-stop. The covering material is a synthetic, slightly coarse and fuzzy product, but has stood up to several hours of practice and play without any sign of wear, tear, etc. The core of the back-stop is an MDF board. This board is harder than it needs to be but certainly effective; darts will occasionally bounce out/off the back-stop and fall to the floor, but in my experience >90% do stick in the board and remain there for retrieval. The protected area surrounding the dart board is adequate to protect the wall from all but the most outrageously off-target throws. It looks nice on the wall and gives every indication of lasting a very long time. The cost was higher than I’d anticipated when I went searching for a back-stop solution, but the reviews were high, and rightly so, and the product well-made, in the US. I’ve not had to request customer support/service, but there are clear avenues provided to do so, accompanying clear communication that the company desires to fully satisfy its customers. I recommend the Dart-Stop without reservation. I would purchase again if the need arose.

Fiance - "You are responsible for paying for all wall repairs" This dart stop was 3X more expensive then the board itself and it was more than worth it. Thanks to this, I do not have to pay more any wall repairs. I just started playing darts. Mainly cricket and 301. Going for doubles at the end puts me close to the edge of the board or even sometimes off of it. The darts stick firmly into the stopper with absolutely no damage to the wall. The install was easy with directions and it looks great on the wall. I doubt I will ever need to buy another backboard again because this one is so sturdy. I've put many darts into this thing and it still looks brand new. Don't buy any other backer. You found exactly what you are looking for right here!

Version 1: I must say, this dart backboard is absolutely incredible! What makes it even more special is the fact that it was meticulously crafted by hand. The set of instructions that came along with it were simply perfect and made the installation process a breeze. We effortlessly used the wall anchors to mount it on sheetrock without any studs, and it's holding up wonderfully. Trust me, I highly recommend this backboard as it not only adds a touch of elegance to your home but also serves as a great conversation starter.

149.95 seems a little high for something made basically of wood and carpet but it functions perfectly and seems very well made. With the included screws I attached it to my bonus room wall into a wall stud. It is very sturdy. My dartboard attached securely and does not spin at all when I pull the darts out. No need for shims. We are casual dart players and miss the dart board occasionally and the darts always stick into this backboard. It looks very nice and we are happy with it.

Top notch quality exactly what I needed. Prouduct looks great on the wall and is by far the best backboard to date that I have seen available on the market. This backboard not only looks great but it is easy to install if you have the ability to use a drill a tape measure and a level correctly. The carpet material used is of top quality and the color was perfect for my room. The Minmau Blade 5 Dartboard mounted up to it just perfect. (Remember there is no need to use the leveling wheels supplied with the Blade 5 Dartboard as they are not needed for this application). All The Best To Everyone, Bill G

Like many people looking at this product, I had a problem with people missing my dartboard in my garage completely and hitting the wall instead. And since my walls are painted black in the garage (It is a Man Cave, after all), those errant darts would make little white craters in the wall because of the drywall under the paint. That meant that a couple times a year I had to break the black paint and touch up the wall around the dart board to make it look nice again. Fast forward . . . A friend gave me a new dart board, a Gran Board 3s. Since I didn't have to pay for the board, I had money left over to splurge a bit on this dart board backboard. Now I'm not too worried about misfired darts hitting my walls as they are well protected from stray darts. If someone misses the dart board and the backboard and still hits my wall, I may suspend their membership in my man cave for darts for a year! Because if you miss this backboard, you either aren't even looking at the dart board, you are falling down drunk, or you did it on purpose. What I like about this board: 1. Very stylish, sturdy and even a bit sexy (as far as a dart backboard can be sexy, anyway) 2. Good install instructions 3. Looks great on my wall with my new dartboard What I didn't like about this board: 1. While installation was pretty straight forward, I needed help to mount it to the wall. Not a deal breaker, but just something to keep in mind when you are ready to hang it on the wall. It's difficult to line up the holes by yourself. 2. Premium price ($99 would seem to be a more appropriate price, to me). If not for the gift of the new dart board, I don't think I would have felt comfortable spending above $100 for this backboard, due to budgetary constraints Overall, I give this dart backboard 4/5 stars. I deducted 1 star for the price and really no other reason. While install can be difficult, that's what friends are for when it's time to mount it to the wall :-)

An expensive purchase, but worth every penny. This is a well-designed, high-quality surround. It fit easily and securely to the wall, and my new dartboard attached perfectly. The 36" surround board octagon is well sized for the almost all of the throws in our home league, and the board thickness and material construction catches soft throws, nicely, while protecting the underlying wall from hard throws.

This product is aesthetically pleasing. It's pretty sturdy and well made. It has the mounting bracket dead CENTER, so there's NO way the dartboard can be mounted unevenly. My only dislike is the price. You can DEFINITELY make your own for a fraction of the cost, BUT it might not look as good. Overall I'm happy with it.
