You'll breeze through the day in comfort and style with the M7100 Pro Walker from Rockport Men's. This tried and true classic sports a textured leather upper with a rounded toe, along with padded tongue and collar for maximum comfort. Cushioned insole cradles your foot, and the lace-up design allows for a perfect fit. Rockport has always been one step ahead of the times, believing the perfect shoe has not yet been invented. This positive dissatisfaction compels them to constantly improve upon their footwear. Founded in 1971, they were the first company to use advanced athletic technologies in casual shoes to achieve lightweight comfort, and the first company to engineer walking comfort in dress and casual shoes.

A very mixed-bag of a shoe - looks good and is comfortable, but is made of crap and doesn't last worth a damn anymore.
I have worn Rockport walking shoes for many years, but at this point I think my current pair will be the last pair I will ever buy. Rockport _used_ to make a durable comfortable shoe that would last me around two years. But over the years the quality of the materials they use to make shoe - particularly the soles and heels - has gone steadily down hill. From two years it got to where they'd only last a year. From a year it got to where they'd only last six months. Now they don't even do that. I started wearing my current pair in April. The heels starting showing visible wear in a couple of _weeks_ and now, after three months, the left one is so worn down that there's almost half an inch difference between one side and the other and a hole has appeared where the heel is starting to wear through completely. And then there's the upper part of the shoe that used to be leather. I don't know what it is now, but it's like some kind of fake leather with a veneer so thin that even a minor scuff just peels it right off revealing a pale grey _something_ underneath.Oddly enough, the shoe still _looks_ good (until the scuff marks appear) and is quite comfortable, at least for a couple of months. The problem isn't in the manufacturing _process_ - it's the increasingly crappy quality of the materials that's the problem. Not really recommended unless you're prepared to buy a new pair every three months. Minimum.

Disappointed
Overall not impressed even at $21. Leather quality is very cheap and stiff. Insoles are very thin and cheap and has to be pulled on to remove if you want to replace them as they glued them during manufacture in Vietnam. Tight fit in toe box for an Xwide..OK on width but too tight for height for my comfort. They also make a weird 'clip clop' sound from the soles when walking on a hard surface such as vinyl or hardwood floors. Hate it if I had paid normal price of $50+. Do not recommend and will not buy again.

Ehh - Purchase a size or half-size larger for comfort
It's an alright shoe. I bought it cause I work in retail on my feet 8 hours a day, but funny thing is that it's really comfortable to walk in but my feet hurt while standing in one place for extended amounts of time. Maybe it just needed to be broken in? In any case the sizing was a bit off, the shoes seemed tighter/narrower than they should have been. Keep this in mind when placing your order. Otherwise I guess this shoe is good for walking in. Rockport is a good brand.

rockport prowalker
I had a store that sold Rockport shoes up until 1995. The Rockport Prowalker in those days was made out of softer leather than the shoes today. The leather then was soft and smooth, now it's stiff and grainy.

The most comfortable shoes for problem feet!
These shoes are the best that I have ever had. I have many problems with my feet and one of my legs and they are comfortable all day long.Rockport Men's M7100 Pro Walker Walking Shoe,Sport White/Wheat,6 XW US

Disappointed with my third pair
Too bad this Rockport M7100 Pro Walker is not the quality it used to be. They fit just as they were supposed to. To my disappointment I found the foot bed and lining are very skimpy. I still have my old pair of Pro Walkers which is a much better shoe. There is no arch support. The sole seems more flexible than before. FYI I tried a comparable Reebok and found them about the same. You get what you pay for and these are cheap to buy and cheaply made. My feet hurt after and hour or so. I bought another more expensive pair ($130.00) pair of Rockport Mudguards which are great. Don't waste your money on these cheap shoes. Invest in a better quality pair.

I have to agree...
that the Pro Walker has changed over the years. My first few pairs were sturdy and very comfortable. My latest pair feels stiff, undersized, and leaves my feet burning before the end of the day. I don't care if white is really off-white, that doesn't matter to me. However, the comfort is no longer there and that meant everything.

Great Shoe - Wrong Size
I've been wearing Rockport shoes for years. I have an older pair just like these that are wearing out, so I bought a new pair. Unfortunately, the size was off. Even though they said 9D when purchasing, and the size matched the label of my older pair, they were definitely not as large or wide. More like an 8 narrow. This is why I need to remember to pay extra to buy shoes locally where I can try them on. Now I have to return these and drive somewhere.
