Rockler Router Letter Template Set, 3-3/8 Inch State Park Font, 99-Piece

Used them for the first time a day ago. I'm a first time user of these templates and found them to be easy to use as instructed.

We just bought a cabin out in the woods and needed signage four the address and name of the place. I was skeptical of using double sided tape, but it works great, holds the letters in place very well, though I wouldn't even think of using a regular, vice plunge, router. Some reviews I read stated the bushing didn't work well; they've either fixed the issue or it was another product being reviewed as the included bushing works just fine! The trick for me was taking my time and going a bit slower, watching the transition on "M's" and "N's" from vertical to slanted, it's easy to push over/round over the narrow plastic "tips". Had I known how good these would work, I'd have bought the combo set that includes the smaller lettering as well.

These templates are great for using with a router to make signs. The templates are a good quality and help produce great results provided the user has the skills and the patience. The first thing you want to do when you open the box is find the included brass router bushing. Take bushing directly to the trash can and dump the worthless piece of garbage that was included. Buy a real router bushing that has a proper lip. The included bushing is so shallow that it appears to be designed to cause inexperienced users to damage templates during use, which would then require a new set of templates to be purchased to finish the task at hand. Since Rockler knows what it's doing, I must assume it's intentional. BTW, had the crappy bushing not been included, I would have rated five stars. Cheers,

I have both sizes and think this is a great product. Love my state park fonts!

Love the set, high quality stencils for the router. The pieces are a little tough to get to “click” together. But with a light sanding they work fine

Great and easy to use

I dislike the fact that the templates are way too thin and the edge that catches on it is so slight (about 3/32”) it takes just the smallest amount of sawdust buildup and you’ve slipped out of the track and routered into your template. What I ended up doing to finish the project was to purchase this product a second time and doubleside sticky tape them together and make them 3/16 thick. I hade a 3/16" router guide. By doing this I was able to complete the project and it does perform well. ROCKLER - GET A CLUE - MAKE THEM THICKER!!! It would probably cost them $5.00 to make the product usable.
