Edelbrock 8723 1/2" Carburetor Spacer

Fits my 1406 perfectly on a Performer Intake Does what it is made to do No Issues

noticed a couple of bad reviews because they put it on a spread bore. It's for a square bore.

Fit great with my new edelbrock carb! Seems to keep heat from manifold off the carb and it performs better.

these are so much better than phenolic spacers. always seal perfectly and prevent fuel boil.

I have installed 3 of these, usually on hot rods that I have owned. The kit makes installation easy since it comes with longer carb studs and 2 new gaskets. No sealant is necessary. The typical installation problem is removing your existing carb studs - they oxidize themselves into the intake manifold and often need to be double-nutted to be removed. This 4 hole model maintains proper manifold vacuum to the carburetor for street-driven vehicle drivability. I would avoid the open chamber models. This part can help hot-start problems, (especially in hot weather), from gas in the carb vaporizing, but check your under-hood clearance too. Sometimes the throttle linkage needs a tweak to line up correctly. And while things are apart, verify that your carb is really at wide open throttle when the gas pedal is floored. Interior carpeting can cost you power.

Solved about 90% of the problem with heat soak on my 350 with 1406, still cranks a few more turns then it should clearing out a little boiled over fuel but definitely liveable now
